Apr. 18, 2009 - The Old Schoolhouse new We- books

The Old Schoolhouse has provided multiple smaller resources for busy homeschool parents at the bargain price of less than $2 per We-book. I am a fan of classical and eclectic homeschooling.  I don't take well to only one curriculum with three children all with multiple needs and talents, the eclectic method works well for me.  Additionally, I desire a more traditional, Christ- centered classical approach.  The Old Schoolhouse (TOS) had perfect, easy to read We-books in this category: A Classical Education: A TOS Interview with Christine Miller, and Simplifying Classical Education. These resources are beneficial to both new and experienced homeschool parents interested in or already using a classical approach.  The interview with Christine Miller provides an active homeschooling mom's advice, experience, recommendations, and encouragement to any homeschooling family whether new to homeschooling, new to classical education, or parents who are already practicing homeschooling parents and/ or already practicing classical home education.

Simplifying Classical Education offers practical suggestions for incorporating classical homeschooling into the busy family's homeschooling day.  Classical education at first glance is often a bit daunting and even scary to parents new to the concept.  Many express interest in classical homeschooling, but shy away at practicing classical education when they discover how many subjects, and work may be involved.  Simplifying Classical Education offers each subject broken into smaller pieces of educational encouragement, recommendations for use of available resources, and inspirational encouragement for the practice of homeschooling into smaller changes and instituting classical education into any homeschooling family's busy plans.

The We books offered by TOS are interesting, easy to read, and very educational to any homeschooling parent wishing to improve their homeschool atmosphere, and receive encouragement from other practicing homeschooling parents in the world wide homeschooling community.
