Welcome to... The Milk & Honey TeaRoom

Your Hostess:

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm your hostess Lady Rachel, and this is the blog of a fourteen-year-old girl, who is striving to become a woman of God. I am a homeschool student, living on our small hobby farm with my 7 siblings, from ranging from ages 18-1yo. Take a look at my life as the 3rd daughter from a large homeschooling family and how God walks with me through it. Blessings!

A Few Big Announcements!

Announcements #1:
On Sunday, we went to see some puppies. My Dad found an add in ‘The Peddlers Post’ so we went to see them. There were originally seven but two had already been bought. We got a boy (there was only one girl and four boys left) and he is so cute!

They were in the person’s dark garage so we had trouble finding them. The lady finally did find them all about ten minutes later, and then we had hard a decision - picking one!
Amanda was holding the quiet, sweet, and calm one so we picked that one. There was one that was black and brown, which Eric and Dad liked the best but we ended up getting Amanda's.

Everyone wanted to hold it on the way back home, so Mother said, ‘I’m the one who is going to be holding him, I decided that when we were on our way here.’ So instead, we tried to find a name for him, but we could not agree on anything.Dad said we should call it ‘dog’?’ but we said no. We still have not chosen a name and he will probably be nameless for a few more days until we can all agree on something! Right now we just call him ‘pup’ or ‘puppy.’ He is part Blue Heeler and part Lab.His mother was not very big and neither was his father - he was just more stocky built, more then the mom.

A couple of names we came up with were: ‘Pemberly’ (from P & P), ‘George’, to that there was a resounding ‘no’, ‘Scout,’ ‘Reuben,’ and lots of other names that I can’t think of. We cannot name him anything from LOTR, Jocelyn said. (Amanda suggested ‘Legolas’ on the way back home.)

As soon as I can get a picture of him, I guess I’ll post it for all you people to see! Although, I daresay, you will all be sooooo jealous of him and me! What kind of pets do you have? I would love to hear about them!

Announcements #2:
I finished ‘The Pilgrim’s Progress’ book on Monday! Now I’m going to read “To Kill A Mockingbird.’ I’m going to get it from the library today. We have the movie with Gregory Peck. We watched it last night and ate the cookies Amanda made. They were chocolate chip with marshmallows! YUMMY!
Is anybody reading any good books?

Now some random stuff to go with the animal stuff: We might be getting two fillies! Amanda has been trying so hard to find horses to buy and she found two fillies that were for sale and cheap too!  They were only $450 for each and our Grandma Starr is going to be sending $200 dollars to help pay for them. She also said she was going to send money to go to TN! She said she was already going to send money for it, but then she found out about the horses…She was so excited!

Goat News
I got the dates of when Chloe and Heidi are due: Chloe is due on the 27th of February and Heidi is due on the 29th of March. We’re going to keep the first males they have as well as the females. Of course, goats usually have more males than females so I don’t know if we’ll be keeping all of the boys!

    Yours Sincerely,
        Lady Rachel

Good for you finishing Pilgrim's Progress!! To Kill A Mockingbird is a really great book...I read it for school a couple months ago. I haven't seen the movie, yet, but I hear it's good.

Right now I'm just finishing up David Copperfield. I only have a chapter or two left...I've been reading it for a long time, though. :) When I finish I'm going to start Les Miserables by Victor Hugo.

Well, hope you have a great day! Stop by soon!
