Extra, Extra, Read All About It!
So many things have been happening around here! Things have been very busy and there is so much more to tell all of you! And since I didn’t post on Tuesday, I have a lot more things to tell you all! First, last Sunday we went and saw the two new fillies we are going to get. Mother, Isaac, and Caleb stayed home; she didn’t want to have to drive so many hours since we are going to TN soon and that is a 9 to 10 hour drive, (with all the stops and things). Amanda wants the Sorrel, and so we get the Appaloosa. She is going to be Mother’s (and we kids.) I will post some pictures of them later... Don't have them now!
AJ is a Sorrel.
Dalcy is an Appaloosa.
Pem (Pemberly is what we decided to call our puppy, ‘Pem’ is what I call him most of the time,) is getting along just fine. He is getting bigger everyday, as I have noticed when I play with him. I think he has finally gotten used to not having any other puppies around to play with here. He will have one soon though! Well, not so soon, I guess, we’re getting the other one on the 10th of March. I could go without all the howling when he is put in his box, though. Whenever he is put in the box we had to get for him (because Mother doesn’t want him to be under the table when we are eating dinner so we got a box for him to be in.) (I don’t have any more pictures of him for you… Sorry! But I will try to take some soon so you can all see what he looks likes…)
We will be leaving for TN on the 9th of February, a Friday, and will be staying there until Sunday afternoon. We will be staying at Hotel Igarashi; they invited us to stay at their house instead of a hotel. Which I’m glad about, with all the stuff I’ve seen about hotels and stuff, it’s just GROSS! EWW! I was so happy that they asked us to stay at their house…Otherwise I would have had to sleep in the van. I can’t wait to meet Ryann! And all the Igarashi’s! It is going to be SO MUCH FUN! Brielle is almost done with my dress and will be sending it out ASAP! I can’t wait to wear it!
Speaking of which of the Igarashi’s, I got to meet Mr. And Mrs. Suarez when they spoke on Tuesday night at ‘The Carpenter’s Son’ bookstore in Layfette, IN. Mother had wanted to hear them speak before and so she called Dad and asked him if he would be off in time to go and if he wanted to go. He said, “Can you all be ready by four o’clock?” She said yes. We were all rushing around trying to make sure we had everything we needed for the two-hour trip to Layfette. When Dad got home, we all hurried out to the van and found out where we were going to be sitting. I sat behind the driver-seat, (in our fifteen-passenger van.) Caleb’s seat was on the right of mine; so I had to help and watch him, make sure he has everything he needed.
For most of the first drive going down there, I read ‘The Old Country’, I’m on page 127, I think; I didn’t really keep track of the page. The chapter is call ‘The Enchanted Tailor.’ As I said before when I first started the book, it is made up of all kinds of different stories. This chapter is about a tailor named Shimmen-Eli and right now, he is at a village trying to buy a goat for his wife, Tsippa-Baila-Reiza, who says she must have a goat, for in the bible it is says that everyone must own a goat, so she says. And, uh, don’t ask me to pronounce those names for you; I can’t pronounce half the names in the book if I studied them for years and years! But he just bought a goat and is stopping at one of his relative’s, a kinsman, who owns an inn, for a drink or two to celebrate his triumphant victory in buying the goat. I can’t tell you much about it, because it is too complicated telling you every little detail! It would take up my first and second pages on my blog! So I’ll just let you read for yourself! I know all of you will LOVE this book!
Sincerely,
Lady Rachel

Oh, I know what you mean!! Hotels can be VERY nasty. Whenever we stay at one we're never allowed to go barefoot or touch the bed comforters.

I think 'hannon le' means 'good day' or 'peace be with you' that's my best guess:)
