Mmmm...Chocolate...Chip...Cookies...(mouth watering)
I thought you would all like to take a look at the chocolate chip I use all the time to makke delicous cookies. I have been making a lot of cookies this week! Here is the recipe.
I hope to have a home - baking business when I'm grown up... Better start while I'm still young! But you'll all have to promise to make a trip up here and taste all my deserts, promise!
1 cup margarine or softened butter (shortening works best with half the butter)
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup coarly chopped nuts
1 (12oz.) package semisweet chocolate chips
Heat oven to 375*. Mix butter, sugars, and egg. Stir in flour baking soda and salt, (dough will be stiff, mine wasn't!) Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by rounded tspfulsonto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, about 8-10 minutes.
Note: If using self-rising flour, omit baking soda and salt.
I like making oatmeal raisin cookies also. I doubled the recipe last time so I could make one with and one without raisins because I don't like raisins! 'Eww! No one would like it.' Willy Wonka from 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.' I'll post the recipe for them next time I post a recipe!

Sincerely,
Lady Rachel
