The End of the Copied Narnia and The Beginning of the New!
I finished the Chronicles of Narnia series only a few moments ago! I have to post about this, for I am so sad and yet so happy that it has ended! I wanted the story to go on forever, but all stories must come to an end --- not quite all, because at the end of the Last Battle, everyone who believed in Aslan lived forever in his land. If anyone has read the books, they know what I am talking about. You don't want the world of Talking Beasts, and where Aslan dwells to end, you want it to go on forever and ever. But don't worry: Your own story will go on, just like Peter, Edmund, and Lucy. I will tell you why I do not say Susan in a moment, but first, I must tell what I learned from these books.
(Warning! Spoilers!)
#1. In the Magician's Nephew, Aslan creates Narnia just like Jesus created earth and the Heavens. God used his voice, Aslan uses his.
#2. The White Witch is brought, like Satan, is brought to our world, into Narnia to rule for a time and then the Sons and Daughters of Adam and Eve will defeat the Witch and restore peace to Narnia (just like Jesus defeats Satan in the End Days.)
#3. In the Last Battle, The Monkey, Shift, and Puzzle, the Donkey, are like the False Prophet and the Anti-Christ. They find a lion's skin (not Aslan's, thanks goodness!) and Shift makes Puzzle dress up in the lion's skin and pretend to be Aslan so Shift can rule Narnia. Sound familiar?
#4. Tirian (the Last King of Narnia) fights, day and night to regain Narnia from the Monkey and the Calormene (a different people), like Jesus does when he is crucified on the cross, and He battles Satan.
#5. When Tirian, with the help of Eustace and Jill (from the Silver Chair) come from our world to Narnia, being called by Aslan to help King Tirian, capture Puzzle and Shift tells more lies about how they had made Aslan, or I should say Tashlan, for the god of the Calormene is Tash, and they combined the two gods, saying they are one, (he is a bird like demon with four arms and very sharp claws and beak, and whatever he walks on dies, and he gets all the people who didn't believe in any god, like Satan does with Lost Souls,) make all the Narnians realize how they were deceived.
#6. Puzzle, who was kept in a little stable and couldn't come out until after dark, midnight, to be exact, so they couldn't tell the difference between him and the real Aslan, was too dumb to figure anything out because Shift had always told him, "you aren't clever enough to think of those kinds of things, but I am," he'd always say to him if he tried questioned him about anything.
#7. When the truth was brought out and Shift was made to look almost like a fraud, he'd make up more lies, and tell all the Talking Beasts that they had made Aslan angry, and he would not be talking to him any more for them, they could talk to him themselves. He wanted to send all the Talking Narnians into the Stable (to be rid of them) for he had a soldier ready to meet them. He had been put there to kill anyone he could before they came out and warned the others about the danger of meeting any soldier who intended to kill them.
#8. At the end of the book, the King and the two children are thrown into the Stable at the end of the Last Battle, and there they were met by Professor Digory Kirke and Polly (I don't know her last name), who were there when Aslan made Narnia, King Peter, King Edmund, and Queen Lucy. Now I come to the point where I tell you why Susan was not met there, in the Stable with the other Three: She does not believe in Narnia any longer. Whenever the other brought it up, she'd laugh and say, "What silly games we used to play!" and the others knew they were 'games' but that it really happened. She did believe and so, she did not come ever again to Narnia. It gives a good point: if you don't believe on the Son, you will not see his Glorious Kingdom come to earth.
Since this post is a very long, the one over at my homestead blog is much shorter: Rachel's Reasoning. Sylvia's Narnia Contest! Enter While you still can!
But I do hope you all enjoyed it very much. I am now off to give my answers to Sylvia!
Oh yes, to make this even longer, I have one more thing to say: LONG LIVE THE TRUE KING OF NARNIA, ASLAN (JESUS!)
Sincerely,
Lady Rachel
I hope you have enjoyed reading the thoughts of a thirteen-year-old girl from the country."You can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens you!" Philippians 4:13

I really am going to link to this, it is a great source! I also agree with what you said in your other post about Narnia. If reading any books get in the way of reading the bible, we should cut them out. That concept applys to everything. I feel a blog coming on! =D
It was nice chatting with you!

It has always made me so sad that in the end Susan did not believe anymore. :(

Thank you for the comment! I've only read a couple of the Chronicles of Narnia books, and that was a long time ago. I should read them again sometime soon. I like how you made the parallels between the books and the Bible. It shows you're looking at everything through a biblical worldview. I think that's what's most important about any books we read. :-)

I have read the Narnia books and, same as you, I was quite sad and happy when the books ended. I wrote a paper awhile ago about Aslan representing Jesus and all those things, and your entry reminded me of alot of it!
