The Milk & Honey Tea Room

Your Hostess:

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm your hostess Miss Rachel. This is the blog of a fifteen-year-old girl, who is striving to become a woman of Yahovah. I am a home school student, living on our small hobby farm with my 7 siblings, from ages ranging from 20-2yo. Take a look at my life as the 3rd daughter from a large homeschooling family and how Yahovah walks with me through it. Blessings to you in the name of Yahovah. PS. Please check out my new blog - http://dixonhomestead.com/rachel - A City On A Hill. I would love for you to stop by there. :)

"3 Is A Magic Number..."

“3 Is A Magic Number…”

We have a movie, a cartoon actually, called School-House Rock. It’s an old cartoon, and has lots of educational clips like mathematics, grammar, historical and just plain fun ones. There is one that is about the number 3. It tells how to count by threes and “how it takes three legs to make a tripod or make a table stand.”

Well, Isaac, who is the Einstein of the family, said “Three is a magic number, because Jesus rose in three days after dying on the cross.” Now, is that profound or what?! Coming from a five-year-old, it was amazing he would say something like that. But, yes, it is true.

the-number-three

Jesus, before His death, prophesied that He would rise again on the third day. Yes, it is true - Christ DID rise again on the third day by the power of God, for He was God in the flesh. After His death, angels appeared the women who went to the tomb to anoint Him. But they found something quite alarming - Jesus’ body was gone!

Matthew 28:5-7
5And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.
6He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.
7And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

Christ Jesus died so that we might obtain everlasting life through His death, as John 3:16 - “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” He gave His life as the ransom for many so that we could live forever. This was the promised deliverance from sin.

As one of my favourite things to quote from the book Pilgrim’s Progress, “He has given me rest through His sorrow, and life by His death.

Saturday Psalm & Praise

By Christ Jesus sacrificing His life on the cross, He gave me the gift of everlasting life. He gives this gift to all who want to receive it. All you must do is accept His salvation that He offers to be cleansed of your sins to live a better life glorifying Him and not ourselves. Accept Him into your heart and let Him become the Lord of your life. You will find peace, rest, and an everlasting joy that cannot be found anywhere else. I pray that all who read this post will be encouraged in the Faith.

Love,
    Rachel

Matthew 5:14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
I hope you have enjoyed reading the thoughts and happenings of a fifteen-year-old girl from the country. “You can do all things through CHRIST who strengthens you!” Philippians 4:13

Three is a wonderful number. :D Some times little children have the most amazing revalations. :D

Thank you for stopping by my blog! :D Milking goats sounds wonderful! (we just moved from the country to a large city so that brings back memories of all of our animals. Although we never had goats. :D)

I did have a nice New Year's Eve. Did you?

Oh yes! They certainly are hilarious. :D

I actually wanted to try city life as we have always lived in the country. :D We had chickens, (I dearly loved my little hennies. They were so sweet. :D) rabbits, cats, dogs, guineas, and a menagerie of reptiles. :D My brother was always trying to convince mother that we needed horses. He never convinced her. :D

Well, my brother's and I stayed up until about 12:15 and then went to bed because we were tired. We aren't much of night owls. :D
