Saturday Psalm & Praise - Go Light Your World

I have been thinking a lot about how I can be a witness and win souls for Christ. I am always reminded of a song that I love, though I've only heard if sung once or twice and only know the verse part of it. It is called "Go Light Your World."

There is a candle in every soul
Some brightly burning, some dark and cold
There is a Spirit who brings a fire
Ignites a candle and makes His home

It is sad how many children know Christ as a little child, but when they grow up, they see only silliness instead of Salvation. We must get the Word to young souls who could be used for God's glory, not for Satan's pleasure. We must again spark up a flame in the hearts of young ones for the Lord, and let it not go out, as the Five Virgins did.

So carry your candle, run to the darkness
Seek out the helpless, confused and torn
Hold out your candle for all to see it
Take your candle, and go light your world
Take your candle, and go light your world

We must carry *our* candles out into the darkness of the world, with the Sword of the Spirit in our righthand. The Gospel is the only way that this world will ever better from this disease called "sin." We must seek out the helpless and the ones who are confused by Satan and bring them to the awesome truth of God's love. He is not willing that any should perish -

2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

He doesn't want anyone to go to hell. Yes, Hell is a real place. It was not meant for humans though; it was meant for the devil and his [fallen] angels.

Frustrated brother, see how he's tried to
Light his own candle some other way
See now your sister, she's been robbed and lied to
Still holds a candle without a flame

We must seek out the lost who try to find their own way to salvation, when there is only one way - Jesus Christ.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

He is the Mediator between God's judgment for our sins [which would be eternal separation from Him] and us. He is the One who gave His life so that we might live forever without fear of Satan and his minions. He gives us power over them, and we have no need to fear anything, save God Almighty.

Hold out your candle for all to see, so that they might see the dazzling light of Christ's love for us. It is

hard to fathom why God, our Maker and the Creator of the universe and all that's in it, would come down from heaven and die a criminal's death for us. God's love is truly great!

Cause We are a family whose hearts are blazing
So let's raise our candles and light up the sky
Praying to our Father, in the name of Jesus
Make us a beacon in darkest times

Let remember that we are all family, we all came from Adam and Eve and we are all of one blood. (Acts 17:26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth...) If enough people raise candles to the sky, we are bound to be noticed by someone. I want to be a beacon in the darkness, and star in the sky.

I think you get the point of this song, and why I am writing this post. Go tell people about Christ is the most important thing you can do for God. The time is running out for when Christ will return, and we not not the hour when He shall come. God the Father is the only One who knows when Christ will return to take back with Him those who are faithful, not even the Son of God knows -

Mark 13:32
But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.

We need to be on the watch and doing everything possible to win souls to Christ. Otherwise, they are going to hell. Hell is a scary place, where there is no rest from the torment that the devil and his demons will inflict on lost souls. They will be there for eternity and never escape from it.

Nothing makes Satan more happy than to see us humans in torment because he knows it torments and saddens our Maker. Have you ever wondered why Satan hates you so much and does everything possible to hurt you? Because you are made in the image of God, his sworn enemy.

Genesis 1:27
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

If there is some one you know who is not saved, I really think you should go over and talk to them. Our closest neighbour, who lives right down the road, doesn't know God. I keep praying that something will be brought up or I will be able to witness to him somehow. Pray for him to see the light before it is too late.
