My Thoughts on Love

Love is one of Gods greatest gifts. But I think romantic love can wait till God's appointed time. I know some people will disagree with me and that's fine. I'm not trying to convert anyone to my thinking. I am only stating what I think, believe and have learned. Today the worlds thinking puts pressure on dating and having a special someone. Someone to giggle about and to talk about with our friends. But through the hard way I have learned that being under God's will is the only way to have peace and joy in life. If you think that God thinks you should date 5 people and then get married, your wrong. God made 1 special person just for you. So why should you go against Gods will, and put yourself into a position to get hurt? You are cheating yourself and others. If you date 5 people trying to 'find' 'Mr. or Mrs. Right' all you do is hurt you and 5 other people. God wants you to be happy and he will put that perfect someone in your life, at the right time. His timing is not our timing. We have to be under his will for our lives. God gives us the desires of our hearts but he gives them in His time, not ours.

hm i'd have to disagree. You date five ppl to find Mr/Mrs. Right you learn mature and change into a better person. That's what my rants did, and what i'm doing. It all works pretty good imo.

Very true! not many think like that. I think that you are so correct. it shocks me though that girls start dating at like 7th grade! You can't get married in 7th grade!!! So whats the point in dating....especially at that age.

What a blessing for you to know this. I hope you haven't come to this realization by too hard of a road. Nonetheless, the hard lessons do stick with us. I hope you will be an inspiration to other young women. You are precious in God's eyes and settling for less than His best is a shame. Good for you to stand strong and wait.
