Thank you grammy & peppy
We got a package from Grammy and Peppy yesterday and it was chock full of wrapped presents to go under our tree!  It reminded me of growing up, we were definately NOT spoiled kids but we knew we were loved.  Every year our parents would say "we are only doing little things for Christmas this year", "we aren't going to have alot of presents" stuff like that, and we were fine with that, we got the things we needed and anything extra was great.  But of course every Christmas morning we would come downstairs and there would be soooo many presents there was no space left under the tree...they were usually spread out at least a foot past the bottom of the tree all the way around.  Most of the time it was essentials (clothes, socks, mittens, etc.) but there was also toys and games and books...just a bunch of little things that we thought were great.  I remember one year we had one of our "fresh-air-kids" living with us during the school year.  Our family puts up the tree on Christmas eve, so we never really see the presents until Christmas morning because mom and dad would put them out after we were in bed.  So there were a few presents from us kids under the tree when we went to bed, but when we got up...oh my, I thought he was going to have a heart attack, I have never seen eyes soo big! He could not believe how many presents there were!  Of course it also helps that there are 4 of us kids and we all get stuff for everyone too...definately adds up if you think about it.  Anyway, all that to say, no matter how much of a "skinny year" it was, we always had plenty and we were always grateful for what we got (even the socks and undies).

So, back to the box we got from Grammy and Peppy (my mom and dad).  Emeline was sooo excited we got a package, so I opened the box and went to put the scissors in the kitchen, when I got back to the living room she had already started unloading the box and putting the presents under the tree.  She looked at me and said "look!  presents galore!"  I almost died laughing!!! It sooo cracks me up when she says something that she obviously heard from me that I don't realize I say.  She is being so good about the presents too, she has no interest in opening any of them yet because she knows they are for Christmas morning (in Tahoe of course).  But she is having so much fun with the whole Christmas experience, she is such a joy!  She keeps moving the decorations on the tree and she has added a barrette to the tree too (and is quite proud of that by the way!).

Hi there! I just saw that you added me as a new friend so I had to come visit. I also have a 2 1/2 year old daughter--my little firecracker!!! I love your template, but it looks more like my Indiana home than how I picture California LOL !
Have a Merry Christmas!

yes...it is definately NOT a California picture...but it reminds me of home, I grew up in New England and get quite homesick sometimes (even though I've been in CA for 11 years now...yikes!).

Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Our tree was pretty packed with presents this year too. With 5 children now and 4 of them able to give to everyone else - wow! Happy New Year!
