Dear Auntie Shauna, When I told you what I really wanted for Christmas, I didn’t think you would actually buy it. I was surprised and happy to receive the pink suitcase filled with sugary candy. I must say I enjoyed tasting each type of candy. First, I ate a chunk of the gigantic white chocolate bar with peanuts. Being the nice girl I am, I shared with my friends, adults, cousins, and family. Next, the chocolate kisses melted in my mouth. Then, I chewed two gummy bears followed by one long sweet worm. Finally, I popped one stick of multi-coloured gum in my mouth and blew one medium sized bubble. The fun part was popping the bubble. Don’t worry because I brushed my teeth and I have a tiny bit of candy left. Wiggling his hairy arms, the moose continues to sing, “I Want Candy,” but my pink suitcase is almost empty. My birthday is coming soon – hint, hint. Thank you very much for making my Christmas yummy, sugary and sweet. You are a kind auntie. I hope you had a sugary Christmas just like me! Your favourite niece, |

In the Bunny Field In the winter field, two long ears twitch listening to crunchy footsteps, human-like eyes stare ahead, nostrils pulse on its heart-shaped nose, yellow teeth grind brown pellets, a cotton ball tail sways slightly, my winter boots too close, muscular legs spring forward. -Robin Jespersen |

Dear Dad, I know you have been wanting to sell our ski-doo, but I wish you would re think your decision. Our ski-doo has given us lots of enjoyment. We love riding on the sleds while you turn the ski-doo side to side to try to make us fall off into the powdery snow. Giggling, I clasp my hands around Darren’s waist. If we tumble into the snow, you turn around and smile. Everyone has fun. Remember you told me that a little ski-doo doesn’t work well in warm weather. On a nice day like today we would miss out on lots of outside fun. It is a must to keep the big ski-doo. I hope you change your mind and make five children ad a soon-to-be sled rider happy. Love, Robin |

Dear Grannie, It seemed that you were gone for a long time to Even though your trip was last year, I still remember the day when you gave me your gift. Opening the bag, I was pleased to receive the pink skirt with purple swirls. A bit later I tried on the skirt and was able to tie the long ties all by myself. When I went in your room, you smiled and I felt proud. As well, I learned how to make the skirt into a shirt. Mom has my skirt in a special place for a special day. I wonder if all the girls in Israel wear those skirts. Do they look like ballerinas when they spin around like I do? When I wear the skirt I feel like I’m at your house with you. Thank you for getting me such a pretty present. Your favourite granddaughter, Robin Grace Jespersen |

The Evil Shark and the Fish Composed by Robin G. Jespersen One day in the cold salty ocean water, a mean shark swam searching for fish. He looked in the light-grey sand, behind medium-sized rocks and among the green, slimy seaweed. Suddenly he spotted the gold fish, and chased it in and out of the seaweed. Being too fast, the fish escaped. Around him the water grew hotter while the shark ground his yellow sharp triangular teeth and his face reddened. He was furious! Tired from searching for tasty fish, the shark closed his eyes and slept by a giant rock. A few minutes later, the gold fish and his buddies spotted the evil shark. Working together, the school of fish lifted a nearby sharp, heavy rock and aimed its pointed edge at the shark’s side. They pushed together. Immediately the blood gushed and turned the water red. The shark’s sides stopped rising and falling. He was dead. Raising their fins, everyone shouted, “Hip-hip-hooray!” Behind the rock, and lady fish hosted a party with a vanilla cake, multi-colour balloons, and several schools of fish who brought more friends. All the fish were happy. |

First you need to gather paper, scissors and a pencil. Then you draw a head, dress, pocket, note, wings and a face on the paper using your pencil. Now take your scissors and cut around the head, dress, pocket, note and wings. Finally tape the head onto the top of the dress. Tape the wings to each side of the dress. Tape the pocket onto the front of the dress and place the note inside the pocket and give this to your friend. |

Magical Dust Factory Exploded ____________________________ BY ROBIN GRACE JESPERSEN NORTH POLE* For eleven days at the Magic dust Factory, a hundred elves were stuck to the ceiling. According to scientist Elfred, the machine that makes magical dust exploded releasing its dust everywhere in the factory causing the elves to fly upwards. Santa announced he sprinkles the magical dust over every reindeer so they can fly. During an interview, Assistant Knewit said the elves pawed like reindeer and laughed. Mrs. Claus heard the boom while wrapping presents at the Gift Wrap Station. She screamed and asked Bill the Reindeer to help her. Upon hearing what happened, Grandpa Elf sprayed the flying elves with warm soapy water. Gradually the elves floated downwards. An elf not wanting to be named indicated they swept the extra dust back into the machine and the elves would have to work overtime to make more magical dust. |

Making Snow Angels By Robin Jespersen On Thanksgiving I like to give paper snow angels to everybody at our house. I will teach you how to make them for your cousins. First, you need to gather paper, scissors, a pencil and tape. Then, draw the following spaced apart on the paper: a head with a smile, two eyes and hair; dress; a pocket; a little note; two wings. Now, take the scissors and cut around these things. Next, tape the head onto the top of the dress. After this step, tape the wings to each side of the dress. Finally, tape the pocket onto the front of the dress and place the note inside the pocket. You have a pretty snow angel for your cousins. |

Making Eggo Waffles By Robin Jespersen October 29th 2008 Have you ever felt hungry for waffles first thing in the morning? If you have, you should come and find me because I know how to make them all by myself! First, gather a plate, a knife, a fork, butter, syrup and waffles. Secondly, make sure that your toaster is plugged in. Thirdly, put one waffle in each slot of your toaster. Now, push the levers on the toaster down and the waffles will begin to toast. After this step, you must wait until the toaster pops. When the waffles are done, you take them out and place them on a plate. Then you open the plastic butter container and scoop out a teaspoon with your knife and spread butter onto each waffle. Just watch the butter melt and sink into the holes. Next, pour a lot of sugary syrup all over the waffles that will blend with the melted butter and create a river. Finally, you take the knife and fork and cut one waffle into bite-sized pieces. Now, enjoy every yummy mouthful. |

On Saturday my dad found our horse Chenille had died. It was sad because she was the best horse. My horse is Gold Dust Miner and Dad thinks she is mean but I think she is nice and fast and black. She is a tennessee walker horse. That means that it is smooth when you ride it. We buried Chenille on Sunday in the sandpit at Grandmas house. Tia, Dad, CArrie and I were all there. We burried her with the bobcat and Carrie only got to ride in the bobcat and me and TIa went into the house when my dad was almost finished. My mom cried when she read us a story about her and carrie cried and I missed her too and i almost cried at grandmas....but i didn't. That's all. |

The horses run up against the field. The wind will blow. They will run as fast as they can. All of the horses hair will fly everywhere. The baby horses will run with their moms. They will have lots of fun. The trees will wave and the trees will swirl. The horses will lay and watch the birds tweet. When you see the horses run through the field you will think it's exciting because you have horses. You can hear their breath and it's so much fun to ride horses. Their sweat will fly everywhere. The End. |

Auntie Paige sent me an e-mail with butterflies in it. Do you know Auntie Paige? She has six kids: Charter, Peyton, Sloanie, Mollen, Cairo and Gage. Auntie Paige loves butterflies. Auntie Paige said that the butterflies wings are see-through. That was cool. hee hee hee hee. I saw the owl nest and some owl feathers and we got the owl feathers out in our bush. We saw some other nest that was a squirrel nest. We found the squirrel nest was made out of grass and it was cool. We found some flowers and some other things that my mom did not know about. We found 2 frogs and we put them with the salamader that we caught. Then we washed the baby pool out because there was chicken poo in it. Then we're going to swim in it. I hope mom put lots of bleach in it!!! See ya, now i gotta go. hee hee hee hee. --robin |

Sometimes i see Ellie sleeping in her bed and when it's morning i tell Ellie that i saw her sleeping in her bedroom. When it's morning, me and ellie play outside and we play with the mud and we make it into balls and we freeze it. The other day I made ice cream. All you need to put in it is lots of chocolate and milk and then you stir it up and put it in the freezer and then it's ice cream. We did it as a secret experiment. mom didn't like it because it made a mess. It tasted like yummy chocolate. I would do it again except we don't have any more chocolate. This is a story called "Ellie". "Crash! Booom!" Ellie goes flying into the air. Then she falls asleep in the air and she sleeps while she's flying. Then she went home and she went to bed and dreamed of going to Hawaii and going in the water with Grannie and swimming and doing all kinds of fun stuff like building sand castles and sleeping in hotels. Those are the fun things that Ellie dreamed of when she was sleeping. When Ellie, me and Dad went out in the field we went horseback riding. The End... thanks Ellie. |
Once upon a time there was a little girl named Grace. Her Grandma told her to go outside and play. So she went. A woodman came by her. The woodman said "What are you doing?" The little girl said "I am going to pick flowers for my grandma. So the woodman came with her too. They both went out to pick some flowers for her grandma. Then Robin Hood came by. Robin Hood said "What are you doing?" The little girl said "I am picking flowers for my grandma." So Robin Hood went with them too. The little girl met a chicken and the chicken said "What are you doing?" The little girl told her "I am going out to pick some flowers for my grandma." So the chicken went with them too. Then they met a fox. The fox ate the chicken and then the fox went with them. Then they went home and they gave the grandma their flowers and she said "Thank you, would you like some of my cookies, i made some while you were gone?" The woodman said "Yes, i would like some cookies." Even Robin Hood, even the Fox had cookies.... but the chicken ate some cookies in the fox's tummy. The end. They all lived happily ever after. Even the chicken. The end. ![]() ![]() |
