Hi friends! Welcome to Robin's Nest! I have fixed you a lovely lunch, and I'm so glad you stopped by!

One of the things we preach in homeschooling circles is lifelong learning. Well, I put that to the test this last two weeks as I tried to learn about doing podcasting. It has been fun, funny, and educational. Actually, I have always had this desire to be on the radio. I have dreamed about it! So one day, acting on encouragement from JoJo Tabares and Communication FUNdammentals, I decided to setup a podcast for my blog Miss Robin's Bible Class for Kids.
I set up the account one afternoon painlessly, but then didn't do anything at all with it. Like most new things it was totally overwhelming. But then one morning in my quiet time, (this is episode 1 btw...) I just had this strong urge to tell the story of Naaman the leper to the kids. So I thought about that podcast. The neat thing is on Talkshoe where I set it up, they do all of the hard stuff (techie stuff) for you! But I did actually feel the Lord leading me through, step by step.
So now I'm shopping for cool music and noises, a better phone, etc. I am LOVIN it! My new goal is to learn how to use my host's dashboard to let the children talk on the show too. So, though I am an "old dog," I am still trying to learn new tricks! After all, I gotta practice what I preach!
My next scheduled podcast is going to be Friday morning June 29th at 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time, 9:00 amCentral Time and 10:00 am Eastern Time. We are going to talk about learning the Bible by learning the major events of the Bible in order. We are also going to make some little flash cards you can use as a game to help the kids memorize them. Y'all come over to my front porch Friday morning and let's visit!
Your friend,
Miss Robin
Why don't some of you try podcasting? If you do, tell them Miss Robin sent you.
