Downtown Tegucigalpa

On Tuesday of our trip, we went to the Valley of the Angels to do some souvenir shopping. These two preceding photos are of downtown Tegucigalpa. This next photo is of the Dunkin' Donuts downtown. I never saw this one open, but they had one in the airport where I had the best cup of coffee I have EVER had in my whole life, even in Israel! The souvenir I bought my dh was a bag of Honduran coffee. My cousin H actually has a coffee bush at his house, and he is trying to learn how to "farm it."

The scenery on the way to through the mountains to the valley of the angels was just gorgeous.

We had a great time and bought some stuff. They had these hand carved trunks there, though, that were quite spectacular. B kept telling us that they could wrap those up for the airplane and they counted as a piece of luggage, but the idea was a bit overwhelming at first. So we went back home and thought about them. Then we ended up going back to the Valley of the Angels on Thursday and buying some! Tomorrow I'll post pics of our souvenirs and the trunks. Tootleoo!
