And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Nov. 17, 2007 - Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday.  I enjoy being with family and the food is plentiful but I especially like how it gives us a special time of reflection and thinking about the lovingkindnesses of the Lord.   This psalm is one of my favorites and at this time of year it is even more special.  Happy Thanksgiving.

       Shout joyfully to the LORD, all the earth.
      Serve the LORD with gladness;
      Come before Him with joyful singing.
      Know that the LORD Himself is God;
      It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves;
      We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.
      Enter His gates with thanksgiving
      And His courts with praise
      Give thanks to Him, bless His name.
      For the LORD is good;
      His lovingkindness is everlasting
      And His faithfulness to all generations.

                                                   Psalm 100
