You might think that because it is getting late and you're tired that you are going to bed, but no.
Those girlies... for some reason their brains kick in high gear after 10 pm.
The oldest: "When I have kids, I am going to unschool my children, we will play the piano, read books aloud, paint, play outside, garden, blog and scrapbook all day long. Yep, that's what I am going to do because that's what I want to do right now" this said as she twirls in the living room. "oh and by the way am I taking the SAT test?" I nod. "Great, because I love essays."
The youngest: " I am going to drop some 4-H projects so I can spend more time reading" this said as she is studying her lists of books to read and gathering up legal pads and books.
So I tell them, "Why don't you girls go to your room and consider all this while I go to bed"
On second thought, I wonder if they could get all their homeschool work done after I go to bed. Hmmm..
Too funny. My 9 yr. old daughter is such a late night owl. She loves sleeping in though. Maybe I should give her school assignments when she wants to stay up and says she can't sleep. (I bet that would get her to sleep quick-even thogh she does enjoy school for the most part.) That is cute but us moms need our sleep! :) I hated naps as a child but I'd love a few now!
I have awarded you with an Excellent Blog award. Stop by my blog to pick it up!
Happy Homeschooling (educating at home!) and Have a great weekend!
I can just picture that scene you described in my head. I was sitting here giggling to myself. :) I bet they could get a lot accomplished at night while you sleep. :) M clicking away at the computer or reading and Bre working on her latest masterpiece. :) I saw the video of "Charlie bit me". I was kinda worried before the image built, but then I had a good laugh. Thanks for posting that. :)
Oh Robin, I had to laugh. As I am out here working on my blog (much later then I like to be up) I am listening to my darling 17 year old, laughing her head off back in her room. Why, oh why, is that child not asleep?! It is late and I am tired. I too have often wondered... If I just set her work out before I go to bed would it be completed, possibly sitting in a nice neat pile beside my son's pile I have set out for the next morning's schooling? Oh, wouldn't that be lovely!!! Between you and me I also wonder if I presented her with this option if she just might decide to go to sleep? ;)
