And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Sep. 16, 2008 - Simply Woman's Daybook

Posted in Daybook

For Today... September 16, 2008

Outside my Window... The sun is shining brightly and hummingbirds are visiting the feeder.

I am thinking... about fall and the nice temperatures we are having now.

From the learning rooms... the girls are busy working on a practice 25 minute essay.

I am thankful for... My sister, Glenna, who has a vast amount of knowledge of the subject of grapes.

From the kitchen... We are making grape jelly this week.

I am wearing... brown capris, pink top and my faithful Merrells

I am reading... Exodus, The Golden Goblet and lots of things about Ancient Egypt, Scraptastic and Life Artist.

I am hoping... my sister, Lou, is feeling better after having a minor surgery.

I am creating... a baby blanket, I haven't been spending much time crocheting so it is taking a very long time to finish..

I am hearing
... the fan from the kitchen

Around the house... our new little doggy is sleeping in a blanket near the girls and smells of grapes simmering are floating around the house.

One of my favorite things... our treadmill.

A few plans for the rest of the week... getting the grape jelly finished and getting a lot of school done.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

These are the grapes that the girls picked from our grapevines yesterday.  They smell so good.

Sounds like a lovely fall day at your place. :) I have to blog my Simple Woman's Day Journal, yet. It was so nice to fellowship with everyone on Sunday. Enjoy the day and each other!
Love,
Marie :)

can you post your grape jelly recipe?

Also, is it difficult to have a grape vineyard?

Thanks for your inspiring comment. I enjoy getting them from you, and Mom is feeling a split second better...however she still sounds...funny...her voice is barely audible and she is always sleeping.:)

I am sure she will be back in the blogosphere in the near future.:)

Have a Blessed Day!

I love these posts. They are so poetic. And I love the grapes! Are they sweet? It would be great to have fresh grapes. I hope you are having a great week.

Lovely grapes! We just planted ours this year and cannot wait until they mature. Have you ever baked a grape pie? They are unusual, but delicious. I enjoyed your daybook. I'm on my way to write mine, now. :-)
