And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap if we faint not. Galatians 6:9

Jan. 16, 2009 - brrr........

Posted in Winter

Jack came and brought an army with him.   Brrrr.....it's cold.

The girls made this a couple of years ago when they realized that illustration, photography and computer graphics were an absolute delight to work on together.  I think of this little piece of art whenever our windows get covered with icy designs.

Jan. 30, 2008 - Visit from Jack Frost

Posted in Winter

When we opened our curtains this morning our windows were completely covered in beautiful frost.  I had never seen them completely covered before and to make them even more amazing the sun is shining and making them glisten.

The girls made this a year ago when we had a snow storm, so I thought I would post it now.  Breezy drew Jack Frost and Emily took the photo and put the images together.

Jan. 22, 2008 - Winter Carnival

Posted in Winter

I have seen where different bloggers will host a "carnival" of some sort to collect all in one blog post what other bloggers are blogging about.  So I thought I would do my own little "Winter Carnival" right here.

The weather has turned bitterly cold in our area and Maggie has shared what the cold did to their rooster.   From far away, Jimmie not only shares pictures of their ice storms  but has a little video of Sprite creating "snow".   Jodie invites us to peak into a special visit from a man who raced in the iditarod.   School in "R" Home lets us see some winter views from their home.  Ami shows us some pictures of  her little "snow" man.   Shutterbug snapped up a lot of photos of the last ice storm they experienced. The last entry I want to share with you is from Montana Mama, who shares with us how COLD it is in Montana.  Now, I know why we never ended up moving to Montana.

We have had temperatures down in the single digits over the weekend but now that it has warmed up to the 20's it is windy and snowing.  Let's all sing "Oh, the weather outside is frightful....".

I hope you enjoyed our little "carnival".  Now, go make yourself a warm drink, snuggle up with your family and read a book.
