Sunday

Well, it is Sunday morning.  This is our busiest day of the week.  My husband is a pastor so this is our "work day".  We have three Sunday morning worship services.  We start at 8:30 in the morning and the last service ends at about 12:45.  Needless to say we are quite "pooped'  by Sunday evening and just want to sit and relax.

Today also marks my 18th wedding anniversary.  Living in Maine means that the weather is always changing.  So we are celebrating our special day in cool weather today as well as in church.  It is hard to believe that we have been married for so long.  We were married young so it feels as though we have always been together.:)

Well, off to begin our Lord's Day!

Blessings

baby changes......

I am so amazed at how quickly babies change and grow.  My baby William has been changing so much lately.  He smiles all the time and coos as well!  He is so happy and peaceful.  I am enjoying him and finding myself cherishing every moment and feeding since I know he is our last.

It feels as though the rain will never stop.  Last week we had hot weather and this week it has been in the 40's.  Still have the heat on....this should not be! :)

We are wrapping up school and I have to say I am finally feeling like I am back on track since the baby was born.  My oldest has finished all of her classes and  my younger daughter is just about done as well.  I am starting to think about next year's curriculum and once again am finding myself struggling with trying to decide what to go with...thinking "should I change anything".  This was only my third year schooling at home so I know I have much to learn.

Well, tomorrow comes early, especially when I am up once a night!  (One feeding a night is a dream!!!!!)

Blessings .....

Friday

Well, I finally went with my daughter to her high school co-op today.  It was the first time since my little William was born 7 weeks ago!  It was so refreshing to talk with my friends there.  It is easy to forget how much we need one another, especially we homeschoolers!  I have missed the talks about everything from school to kids to meal planning etc.

My husband is playing baseball with my daughter and then will be playing basketball with my other daughter.  We are really trying to make more family time.  It seems as though there are always phone calls and other things that try to sneak in and take our time from each other.  I  miss my time with my husband as well.  We were going out once a week before the baby and hope to start it up again soon.  I know this is a season and I really am enjoying it very much.  Seeing my 15 year old hold my newborn really can be an emotional thing.  We were driving in the van the other day and Olivia (15 yrs) was keeping the baby quite and I just turned around and started to get teary eyed.  Where has the time gone?

Off to spend that time.......:)

On a New Kick!!

Well, my daughter had informed me that I am now on a "new kick"!  Now that I have entered the world of blogging, she thinks that's all I do!  I just joined yesterday and yes, I am excited about it!  I do know that my personality is such that I get excited about something new and it seems to consume all my time!:)

Although I must admit I am having difficulty with my blog.  I can't seem to upload pictures at all.  Hopefully I can figure it out or my daughter, who is much more computer savvy than I!!

Well, it's official.....I have started making my wheat bread again!  It has been almost two years since I last made it.  There were thoughts of selling my grain mill and mixer but to no avail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I am at it again and am enjoying it!

Today my oldest daughter is off to the highschool Co-op.  She only has a one more week and then her classes are done.  I am really ready for summer vacation.  Since having the baby it has been a real "job" for me to get school going each day.

Off to take a walk with my husband......:)

My Life

As I sit here at my computer and look out my window at my children playing it brings great joy to my heart.  So many times I feel bogged down by the "little things" in life that I don't stop and appreciate "my life".   My life consists of four children; Olivia, age 15 (almost 16), Victoria, age 11, Joseph age 5, and our new little William age 7 weeks.  My husband and I pastor a church which we started about a year and a half ago.

Since I have had the baby our schedule has not been what I would like.  Everyone told me once I have the baby just go with the flow and relax with homeschooling but I have to admit that I have felt guilty for not keeping my "schedule".  Having the new baby has really shown me how mature my kids are.  Both my girls help me so much I can't imagine having the baby without them.  My five year old has not been jealous at all!

Well, this is my first shot at blogging...hope to learn much from many others.
