• Apr. 4, 2006 - Here is one of my favorite recipes: Cream cheese spaghetti

Preheat oven to 350

Angel hair pasta- you will need to cook as many noodles as you do for regular spaghetti

Cream cheese- 8 oz. , softened

Sour cream - 12 oz to 16 oz.

Spaghetti Sauce- depending on what kind of spaghetti sauce you use (homemade or store bought), you will need about 4 cans/ jars of it.

Parmesan Cheese- optional

In a pot, boil the noodles.  While waiting for noodles to boil, mix sour cream and cream cheese in a separate bowl. In a 9-by-13 pan, lay noodles inside and mix a fourth of the sauce into it.  Then spread all of the cream cheese mixture over the noodles and sauce. Spread the rest of the sauce over the cream cheese.  Parmesan cheese should be sprinkles on top right before you put it in the oven.   Bake for 20- 30 minutes.

• Jan. 30, 2006 - School time!!!

We have been doing school and music!!!  My favorite subject is History and sicence .

I am doing Abeka History and science. History is very interesting right now I am learning about Noah Webster. He invented books.

Here is some of what I learned about him.

He thought there was not enough books when he went to school. There was only a 3 or 4 books in the entire school.

He went to a one room schoolhouse.

He inveted books such as The blue-backed speller. He grew up and became a teacher.

Here is what I am learning in sicence I am learning about magnets. The world is a big magnet !!!  Next I am learning about coal mines.

In reading I am doing Teddy Roosevelt and Eleanor Roosevelt.

They are very interesting!!!

• Jan. 28, 2006 - What do you think?

I got this from a book called Growing up in World War II. Here is what things cost in 1943:

...a first class letter was 3 cents,

...a loaf of bread cost 10 cents,

...a childs haircut was 15 cents,

...a movie was 17 cents,

...a quart of milk was 31 cents,

...a new car cost $900,

...a new house was $3,600

and Averge salary was $2,040/year.

WOW!! Can you imagine?

I am only on the 2nd chapter and I love it!!

I hope to learn more of World War II.

• Jan. 3, 2006 - What did you do for New Year's?

We went to our friends house! We watched the ball drop at midnight (EST) I think we left at 2:30 AM!! We were really sleepy when we got home  The older kids played a game called The worst case scenario. It is a really funny !! We drank a lot of pop!!! At midnight the younger kids and some of the older ones went outside, jumped on the trampoline,  sparklers, shouted, and laughed!!!   We do it every year.   I think we have been doing it for 7 or 8 years!!! It's always at our friend's house.  So all we have to bring a snack!!!

• Dec. 3, 2005 - What is your Christmas tradition?

Well I'll start

On Christmas Eve we go to my mom's mom and have dinner.  Then all the cousins (16 in all) play songs.  Then we open gifts.  My grandma always picks one of the grandchildren to make the dessert and it has never been bad. Not one year.

On Christmas Day, my dad's parents usually come here.  We open up are stockings. Then we open up gifts from my mom and dad and grand parents . We eat Christmas dinner.  ( It is aways good!!!!)

And that is what we do in the course of two days.

• Oct. 31, 2005 - WWOne Bible verse...

Here is a bible verse that reminded me of WWI . It is Psalm 2:1 "Why are the nations inan uproar And the people devising a vain thing."  And as I said in my Tapestry of Grace post , I said I was reading A brave solider. Before I did bible today I read A brave solider  and that is what  reminded  of this bible  verse. I think I know how they wrote  the song  I will be home for christmas. In the book, A brave solider  when they started WWI they kept saying "It will easy and we will be home for christmas."

• Oct. 25, 2005 - Tapestry Of Grace...

In Tapestry Of Grace we are doing World war one and the 1900's. I love reading the books about World War One they are fun to read about the machine guns and grenades. I also like reading the poems.  One of the poems is In The Flanders Field.  It is really good book. The next book I have to read is A Brave Soldier. And we are making maps on the countries that were in the 1900's.  They are really fun to color.
