He couldn’t move, he could barely breathe. When he opened his eyes, something got in them and burned his eyes. Jim felt as if he was in thick water, or even worse…dirt…he pushed and shoved and finally he came out gasping for fresh air! He was right, he was in dirt. Somehow he had got buried. Jim struggled to get all the way out. That was when he heard the screams. Suddenly from somewhere out there some one screamed. It was a small boy who was running away from Jim he was yelling frantically “it’s a frieg it’s a frieg, they have come back runnnn!!!!” Jim was very puzzled by this. He wiped the dirt off of his face, and then he looked down to where he was buried. He laughed when he saw a grave stone above the dirt it said                                                               Unknown boy                                                       ?-20456              Someone must have thought that he was dead and paid their respects. Jim looked around; there were other gravestones around his. Jim thought that he should destroy his gravestone since he wasn’t in it. He picked up a rock and threw it at the grave stone. All it did was break the rock, so he pushed on the gravestone. Still nothing happened. He decided that he should go get some help. But he didn’t get out of the grave yard.                When Jim got near the gate he heard a yell, it wasn’t an afraid yell; it was a yell that meant someone was charging! Sure enough a big man with a large shovel had jumped down from a tree over head. Jim got out of the way. The man hit the ground then Jim saw an arrow zoom by his head. The people were trying to kill him! Jim looked back to where the arrow came from just in time to see another arrow zoom past his head. Up above Jim, next to the gate was a cliff, and on this cliff were three young boys with bows and arrows. One of the boys said                “Come on just get him!!!!” The third boy pulled back on the string and took carful aim. Jim jumped out of the way and accidentally crashed into another man. They both went down. Then the first man jumped into the wrestle. Jim finally struggled out of the mess and started to run towards the gate. An arrow struck him in the left arm. He fell down from the surprise and got back up quickly but not quick enough. The first man had hit Jim on the back to make ken fall. It worked; Jim fell back down and landed on his elbow. It hurt terribly but Jim had no time to worry about pain, the second man had ran up to Jim and was about to hit Jim with an iron bar. Then a voice called out                 “Wait!!!”                Then the man, who was above Jim stopped, turned around and yelled “What’s the matter!! He could destroy the village!!!” Jim looked were the man was looking and there was Etheiolach!                “I know that boy!” Etheiolach said walking over to the man “he is a friend of mine”                “My son said he was a frieg” the man protested                “No, this boy is not a frieg, he is human.”                 “Then maybe the frieg is still out there!”             “No!”…… every one turned, that wasn’t Etheiolach’s voice it was a boy’s voice. The boy who had spoken was one of the archers on the cliff, he jumped down; it was only five feet. The air was filled with the scent of horse poop. Jim got up from the straw bed he was laying on, his head felt as if two boulders smashed it between them. Also his right arm hurt just the same; there was even a little blood on his shirt. He stood all the way up and looked around. The grass hut was wet from a rain shower, there were two windows and a door, and there was a small wooden table in the middle of the room. There were no other rooms except a closet to side. Suddenly a figure stepped in the room; it was the same man Jim saw before he was knocked out. Jim was worried that the man might do something to him so he said “don’t worry I won’t hurt you.” Then Jim sat down on the bed again to reassure the man.                 “You tried to kill me yesterday!” the man said angrily                “No... I wouldn’t kill you I was just going to meet you.” Jim said worriedly.                 The man must have agreed with Jim because he sat down then said. “My name is Etheiolach what’s your name?”                 “My name is James but you can just call me Jim.” Jim now could see all of the man’s features, he had a short beard same color as his hair, and his face was dirty and sweaty. Etheiolach had on strange clothes; they looked like medieval time clothes. He also had on a cloak which was tied together in the middle by a pin. On the pin was a strange symbol, it showed a sun surrounded by small circles. Etheiolach was also carrying a sword, the hilt was very decorative and so was his sheath. Jim couldn’t see the blade because it was in its sheath. Jim decided that he should be friendly so as not to get the man angry.                 “Would you like some breakfast?” Etheiolach said suddenly.                Jim answered “yes …I would like some cereal.”                Etheiolach looked at Jim very puzzled “what’s serial?” he asked.                 “Oh……you don’t know what cereal is?”                 “Nope”                “well its stuff that you put in milk. Some of the stuff looks like mini doughnuts.”                Etheiolach looked puzzled again and said “what is donuts?”                Jim sighed this was going to take a long time “never mind forget what I said just get what you normally eat.”                “Okay” Etheiolach said as he got up and walked out of the hut. Jim wondered why Etheiolach didn’t know what cereal was, it was the most popular breakfast food back at home. But maybe this place was different, after all the man wore strange clothes.                 Jim thought for a moment, maybe he had traveled back into the past and this was in the medieval times! It all mad sense now, he had spun fast enough to travel back into the past! Suddenly a thought struck him like an iron bar. The man had said some weird words, and then forced him to fly through the air to smash against a rock, and all this from three feet away! Jim knew what that meant; it meant that the man could use magic! And there was no magic in the past. Jim finally realized he hadn’t gone back into the past, he had gone to another world and he might be stuck here if he couldn’t find the Vator again. He had to go back, Jim raced frantically out of the hut and into a large village. He raced through the streets slipping here and there; he couldn’t find Etheiolach or the way out of the village. He ran around a corner he bumped into a fat man. After a while of spinning, maybe five seconds, he finally could breathe! His head was spinning and hurting, his hands began to get numb. Jim started to feel like he could move around more. He looked over to the screen; there was something different on it. It showed a spaceship flying along a line to a circle. It was probably showing his progress. Then Jim saw that the screen showed that there was a lot less gravity. He lay back down on the bed and tried to go to sleep but he couldn’t. He looked over to the screen once more and saw that the picture of the spaceship was moving pretty quick. That meant that he was traveling super fast, because his destination was 8,000,000 light years away from where he started. That also meant that he would stop at his destination any minute now! Jim waited… the spaceship was getting close to its destination.  Suddenly the whole Vator lurched to a stop. Jim had bumped his head on the side of the Vator and his fingers got cut on something. He looked down to see what it was. It was a bow and some arrows, they hadn’t been there before. They must have come out of the cupboard which was right next to the bow. Jim figured that if the bow and arrow were there, that meant that he might need them. So Jim picked up the bow and arrows then walked over to the door. There was no button to push but a sensor opened the door when Jim went over to it. Jim looked out; it wasn’t what he had expected.  He had expected to see something a bit like the moon, but this was definitely not like the moon. It looked just like earth, it had lots of trees and normal dirt, it had some rocks and he could hear lots of animals. Jim finally got the courage to step outside. The sun was bright and he could see that he was in a normal forest. The only thing that was different was that above him, the trees closed over, so that meant that the Vator couldn’t have just come in. Jim was puzzled and hungry so he went exploring. He had never used a bow in his life, so he couldn’t shoot an animal for lunch.  He didn’t have to because a person bumped into Jim when Jim was going down a hill. As soon as they saw each other, both of them ran to hide. Jim jumped down behind a moss covered rock. When he looked out from behind the rock he could see that the person was hiding behind a tree. The man was white and had brown hair. He was a little short for a normal sized man. Finally Jim decided that just sitting there wasn’t doing anything so he slowly walked out from the rock and said “h-h-hello…………who are you?” silence “I am friendly” silence “I-I won’t hurt you!” silence……finally Jim decided to just walk over to the man. When the man saw that Jim was coming over to him he thrust out his hand and said “ponyiwi se fonierta sela” suddenly Jim felt as if he was being grabbed by something but nothing was touching him. Then the man thrust his hand sideways. Jim went with the movement of the man’s hand smashing him against the rock he was hiding behind. He was a son of the Ackerson’s. The Ackerson’s were very poor people who lived in the west section of the city which is where all the poor people live. The city I’m talking about is a very prosperous city except the west end of course. Its name is a very funny name. It is called lykel. Jim once was out on a walk (in a forest near the city) when he stumbled upon a strange object. It was a big box, as big as a dresser. Jim could probably fit in it. It was made out of metal and was pretty smooth except for a small door at one end. Looking at the door he noticed that the object was on a very shallow cone shaped stool. When he leaned on the box it spun very slowly because of Jim’s weight. He had fallen off but now got back up. He decided to look inside the Vator. (Jim called it that because he thought it should have a name) The door was very easy to open all he had to do was flip a latch then swing the door up by its hinges. Jim stepped in. He had to bend over a little but once inside Jim knew it was made for children like himself. He couldn’t stand completely up but he could lie down on a bed inside the Vator. As he looked around he saw that this was not just a box, inside were all kinds of buttons, switches, knobs, and lever’s. Also there was a screen that was black. Jim wanted to find out what people put on the screen so he looked around to see if he could find an on button for the screen. He found one but it was on the other side of the Vator. He pushed it………nothing happened, he thought it might need power so he got up to go and get his dad’s car battery but then he saw an outlet. Nothing was in it but right below it was a cord. He picked up the cord then pushed it in the outlet; he was so excited that he had trouble doing this. Once the cord was in Jim went over to the on button then pushed it. This time it worked. Lights turned on, buttons lit up, but one thing happened that made he wish he didn’t come. The door to the Vator shut tight. Jim banged and screamed but he couldn’t get the door open. Finally he decided he should just calm down and rest. He lay back on the bed then tried to breathe deeply He was thinking about how to get out when he noticed that the screen was on. He got up and looked at it. What surprised Jim was that the screen showed what cars show (only in digital form). It showed the gas amount, it showed how fast he was going, which was none, how much gravity is there which is strange because it was on earth and didn’t need to add gravity! There was one other thing that boggled Jim’s mind; it showed how far it is to its destination which was 8,000,000 light years away!! He thought that was weird because no other man made machine had been able to go that far away, where ever it was.  Jim leaned back. His mind was spinning with all the questions. When Jim leaned back he accidentally raised a lever! Then some more lights turned on and a voice said “power is all the way, prepare the system.” Jim thought that he shouldn’t do anything to cause the Vator to run but then the voice said “turn on gas one and five immediately.” Jim didn’t want the machine to blow up with him in it so he turned around and found two buttons flashing red, they said gas one; gas five. He pushed them. Then the voice said “turn on spiral” Jim looked around the Vator and found another lever with a spiral symbol on it.
