Tia Fairy Costume

~Tia Fairy Costume~

This costume was custom made with inspiration and design idea for a fairy/pirate costume inspired by my version of the Tia Dalma Costume. So I have named this costume The Tia Fairy Costume.

Costume consists of…

1. 1. A linen corset with beading and fabric detail at the neck. Fully laces up the back for a flattering fit. The straps tie onto the front of the corset with some pretty lacing. Fully boned corset style for a pretty fit.

2. 2. The Tia style skirt is made of linen, tapestry and beading.

F Fabrics are slightly aged and worn for a pretty look.

The beading was hand sewn onto the bodice for a pretty pirate look.

The skirt is made of taffeta and linens...with lots of hand sewing beading design.

Susan's 1940's Day Outfit

The blouse and skirt below were inspired by the outfit worn by Susan Pevensie in “The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe”.

The skirt is made of lovely dark blue and green plaid wool. Lined with soft silky lavender lining to add that little hint of elegance. Closes with an invisible zipper for a smooth and secure fit.

For the blouse, I used a drapey lavender fabric that had the look and feel of a vintage fabric, but was in fact brand new.

The blouse features hand covered fabric buttons, a collared neckline and short slightly gathered sleeves.

The outfit featured here was custom made for a customer, but it can be made in many sizes.

Post Apocalyptic Recycled Coat

This coat was made using all recycled materials; we used pairs of pants to create this look and a t-shirt fabric to line the hood. Totally, recycled and upcycled fashion.

All edges and hems were left in original condition and in a worn and aged state. Each seam is double stiched to accent the worn look.

The Front of the coat closes with large metal closures from pants, and the waist is accented with a belt loop band.

The hood is cut in a square style, and lined with a thermal t-shirt knit fabric. (Recycled from a previously worn shirt)

The coat is being worn with a Will Turner Inspired Headscarf in Seaweed Green and other garments and accessories. Please note the headscarves can also be made in other colors and styles.

Regency Gown and Bonnet

This gown was created to have a very historical Regency look… It was greatly inspired by the movie Sense and Sensibility. I loved the style and look of those costumes…so I wanted to include a few of those details in this costume.

The gown is made with a wrap around style that secures at the side. Fully lined with cream linen and accented with antique lace on the sleeve hems.

Neckline detail is secured with a pretty brooch.

--- Handmade Bonnet ---

The bonnet is made of silks and satins and edged with a purple trim. To finish off the bonnet style, I included some natural feathers and fabric details.

Pirate Island Gown 2

Pirate Island Gown

This gown was inspired by the one worn by Elizabeth Swan in Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl.

The gown is lined with drapey linen and overlaid with light woven gauze style linen.

Laced up the front and the sleeve sides for a pretty fit, this dress is accented with light aging to give it a nice pirate look.

(The gown is the same color as the second picture, the picture on the right was taken with the wrong flash setting or something..sorry)

Notes on the Aging and Distressing:

Over the course of the movie the dress undergoes lots of destruction to the fabrics, so the gown I have pictured here is not yet to that stage. I have aged and distressed it just lightly, upon customer request.

So the dress pictured here is lightly aged, if you would prefer a completely aged and fully distressed style please let me know, I will gladly age it more for you.

Notes on Neckline Detail:

Accented with front lacing and a series of eyelets; this dress has a very flattering silhouette.

The gown pictured here features a modestly panel behind the front bodice lacing. If you would like a gown that does not feature the panel, please let me know… I can simple leave it off for you as seen in the movie.

Susan�s Green Archery Dress

Susan’s Green Archery Dress

This costume was inspired by the gown worn by Susan in the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe. Susan receives this gown while in Aslan’s Camp…. She often wears it with her leather belt and cape.

The Over Dress is made of a pretty dark green wool blend fabric that adds a nice drape and swish to the dress and is accented with hand sewn embroidery, slashed sleeves and eyelets laced with a small leather cord at the neckline.

The dress is fitted with princess seams that flow out in a full skirt that gives freedom of movement and elegance at the same time.

Please note that this fabric is actually very close to the movie color, if I had taken the pictures outside on a sunny day it would have had the movie effect, but the day I did the pictures it was very snowy and wet.

The Under Dress is made of a silky cream fabric that feels very smooth and nice under the outer dress. Sleeves are laced at the high cuff for a close fit, perfect for doing archery. The back is closed with an invisible zipper and is fitted with rows of princess seams that flow out into a full skirt.

Baby Cinderella Gown

This little princess wanted to be Cinderella, so we made her a little Cinderella Ballgown. Complete with shiny blue fabric and a sparkly fabric overlay and a signature Cinderella sidepuff skirt.

The princess below is seen wearing a white blouse under her gown because it was rather cold....

Captain Barbossa Inspired Costume

Captain Barbossa Inspired Costume

I made this costume for a customer who was looking for a Captain Barbossa style pirate outfit. It consists of a coat, vest and sash…along with some pirate style accessories that my customer found.

-------Barbossa Style Pirate Coat--------

The coat was rather interesting to create, especially when it came to finding that kind of fabric.

All the buttons are a hammered metal and are actually quite heavy. The pockets are fully functional welt pockets that allow plenty of space to stash your pirate treasures.

Fully lined with a black woven silk fabric that allows for ease of wearing and creates a very dramatic drape to the coat.

Black cording accents the edge of the coat and is embellished with buttons and cording designs.

-------Barbossa Style Pirate Vest--------

This vest is made of a heavy tapestry fabric that I aged and hand dyed.

Lined with a heavy woven silk and fitted in the back with eyelets and accented with gold plated buttons this vest would complete most any Captain’s Garb.

Functional welt pockets are also included on the vest….more space for hiding your treasure!

I used a silk and linen woven fabric blend for the sash…

Arwen Battle Costume

Arwen’s Battle Costume

This costume was custom made for a customer that wanted a costume inspired by the one that Arwen wore in the extra scene in Lord of the Rings: Two Towers. This scene was cut from the movie, but there are still some images of Arwen’s costume that she would have worn at Helms Deep.

Please note this costume was inspired by the orginal, the customer prefered that some changes be made and because there are not many images to go on…I looked to other Elven styles for inspiratation

My version of the costume is pictured below.

This costume consists of a coat dress, matching belt and an elven style gown.

The underdress is made of a crinkled silk satin in a dusty rose color.

The skirt is made with flaired godets and a riding slit up the front and the back. The gown also features an attached belt that is made of the same silk fabric. Graceful lines and lots of elven details finish off the dress.

The sleeves on the underdress are lined with a silk burnout velvet fabric that swish and sway with every movement.

This Coat Dress is made of pure silk velvet and lined with a pretty satin.

A long row of ornate silver buttons finish the coat and can be worn buttoned or unbuttoned with the same elegant look.

The collar features piping and is fully lined in the soft silk velvet.

At the shoulders there are long attached wing like pieces that really give the costume that elven look without adding too much bulk. The coat also featured riding slits up the back.

Below is a photo of the back, the "wings" are best viewed when someone is wearing it.

I also created a matching bag to go with the costume....
