Life Goes On... - Homeschool Blogger

"It was a cool, cloudy morning, and I knew the water would be very cold, but still I rushed into the small waves. The water struck me like a ton of bricks and swept my breath away. The deeper I swam, the colder the water seemed, and by the time my feet were unable to find the bottom, I was shaking. Every minute was torturous joy to me. The pain, the bitterness of the water, was a distraction—proof that I was wonderfully, gloriously, painfully alive. "

This strange feeling...

I'm not hungry. No, that's not it. I'm not thirsty either. I just feel... empty. Literally, physically hollow. It's very strange. It's like there's nothing inside of me. No room. It's not just physically hollow, either. It's emotionally... not hollow, but neutral. No happiness. No sadness. No anger. Nothing. It's just.

Empty.

Should I be worried about this? I'm not.

He promised. I know He did. And maybe it won't work the way I want it to, or maybe I heard what He didn't say, or I read into what He said. But He did promise and no matter what happens, I will trust His promises. After all, He did promise. And if anybody keeps promises, it's Him.

Even when I've been less than faithful and less than wonderful. But I'll come back and repent and try to do as I'm told. And then He'll renew His promises. It is best not to stray at all, because when I do, I miss promises that I didn't even know about. But when I do stray, He'll take me back. I may not get the perfect best He had planned for me, but He will still love me and protect me and take me back and renew His promises. I love that about God, don't you? Even when we fail miserably, He still takes us back? We lose what we gave up, but He still gives freely and generously. How amazing is that?

Forgiven, Hopeful, and Faithful,

Life Is What It Is...

Did I ever say how crazy this thing called life is? I can't decide whether it's totally stupid and I should just jump off a cliff or not. Yep, it's totally crazy. So what do I do now? Wait, I guess. Not much else to do. Keep busy. Yeah. I can do that. It's so weird having part of my life ripped away. Everything was so normal. Now everything's still so normal, but it's only half of what it used to be. This is called talking in riddles. I highly recommend it. It never fails to make me smile.

So spring formal is tonight. I know what I'm going to wear but I still haven't figured out what to do with my hair. Spring Formals are like that. We girls spend a lot of time guessing. It's half the fun, really.

Well, if you ever come visit my blog, I hope you don't forget me. It's going to be a long wait until after European tour. Shall I take lots of pictures? Of course I shall. Lots and lots of pictures. And I'll keep them all for myself. Nobody else will want them. But I'm going to have fun in Europe and nothing will stop me, not even disasters, pain, guilt and sadness.

Keep smiling, everybody. You know that's very important. Just keep smiling. Laugh as much as possible. There's nothing like it. It doesn't matter if life keeps throwing you curveballs. Smile, laugh, joke and keep going. Don't lose your heart to it and don't go cold and impenetrable. Pain is important. It's how we grow. We learn to live and to forgive others and forgive ourselves. I think the last one is the hardest. It's not a mask. We learn to live in different areas. All my pain goes here, and all my happiness, here. And even in the tough times, the happiness compartment is still a lot bigger than the sadness compartment. So smile, everybody! Live life, because that's what you're meant to do.

"To live would be an awfully BIG adventure!"

Living in spite of everything,

Inifinity

There's nothing to do but wait.

Nothing to say

Nothing to think

Even waiting is frightening.

But I'l wait till it's over. Or fight, until I've won or died. There is no loss. I'm not going to lose. Just watch. Victory or death. Glory or the End. I'm still here. I'll be here forever if I have to be.

When you start fallin'

Who's gonna catch ya?

I'm willin' to betcha

It will be me...

The battle raged on below, in fearsome and bloody horror. The charge of the cavalry had seemed succesful. Then came the Karaphin, on their elephants. The sound of their horns had broken even the noise of the battle field. For a brief moment, everyone was silent, distracted by the noise and the sight of the terrible beasts. The trained wolves were no match for the killer tigers. The horses could not stand against the elephant. They were outnumbered and had no advantage whatsoever. Then the soldiers charged back into battle with as much ferocity as before, and the chaos broke out again.

Up in the balcony stood the girl, in the highest floor of the castle. She was far out of range of any arrows or catapults. So silent and still that she seemed but a statue, she watched. The only sign of life was the blowing of her dress and the tears that stained her once rosy cheeks. The blood had gone out of those cheeks and she could only weep for the horror that was below her.

Why?

That is a question only He can answer.

But for you, gentle and fair one, this:

Cry, fair maiden, and hope for better days. There seems to be no hope, but you always believe in hope. Cry for the nightmare of a war that goes on below you. Cry for the loss of your dear subjects, countrymen, and friends. Cry for what must be. It must be.

I am Metro; that is my code name. My colleagues, Mystic and Energy, and I had the idea of starting a detective agency while we were young and careless. The name 3piR seemed to fit since we liked pie and said that solving mysteries would be as easy as pie for each of us. There were three of us and the R was thrown in to add a sort of mathematical flair. It seems sillier in retrospect, especially since mysteries aren’t as easy as one would like to think.

Why do you smile his smile...?

Is life incredible? Is life absurd?

Sometimes it most certainly seems that way. I've been very, very disappointed recently and have no idea what to do. I could argue and fight. I could lie and decieve.

Neither of those options are really any good. There's nothing to do.

There never really was...

The best things happen while you're dancing...

So busy, so so busy.

But I'm taking dance classes!

It's very exciting.

I know how to swing dance, but now I'll learn how to waltz, and do the foxtrot, the cha-cha, the quick-step, etc. So happy!

Advent time

Hey, does anybody else in the country know what an Advent's calendar is? They're yummy! They have little windows for every day of December leading up to Christmas Eve. On the 24th of December, you open the last one. Inside each window is a chocolate. Basically it means you never have to beg your mom for candy for the month.

The only problem is that I forget I have it. And then on Christmas Eve I have a ton of chocolate to eat. Normally that would be okay. But I always have too much to do. This means all my Christmas candy lasts awhile. I like that.

As you may notice, I have redone my blog. It's not spectacular, but I think I like it in the end. What do you think of the new music? That's the part I'm most excited about. Isn't this choir great? It's not Christmas music, but I don't care. It's not in English, so it doesn't matter. The song is cool though. I love it. You have to let me know what you think of them!

Merry Christmas, one and all!!!

No time to post! Certainly not! But I did finally comment on my last entry, because I said I'd leave my answers to the questions. For your convenience, however, I have decided to post them here instead. If you wish to know what the questions re, you'll have to scroll down to my post entitled Any Last Words? and read them for yourself.

1. I would say: Amen, so come Lord Jesus.

2. My parents, and I would give them all my passwords to tell everybody I had died.

Any Last Words?

I have nothing to post about....

Actually, that's not strictly true. I have tons of things to post about. But I won't. Because I'm ornery. ::grins:: So, what should I post on? How about this... what is the meaning of life? Or even better. What is the meaning of precocious?

This is life, huh? It's funny. I like to laugh at life. But then... it stinks too. And sometimes it makes me cry. That is life as well. So tell me, what is life?

A friend started this game. You go for it. He called it "Any Last Words?"

Situation one: You have a single sentance to say before you are killed. What would you say?

Situation two: You are in an airplane at 30,000 feet. The airplane loses an engine and you know it is going to crash, you have a cell phone and 30,000 feet to make a call. Whom do you call?

Situation three: You can carve a single word in the dirt by your hand before you die...what word would you carve?

Maybe I'll post my answers later. Maybe.
