<title>I'm not dead....Or am I?</title>
<description>&amp;nbsp;
Sup peoples? I'm kinda bored... It's cold and wet and rainy outside...'Course, I kinda like it that way, just not the freezing cold part....
Dad and me went huntin' the other day, and not fifteen minutes after we got in the stand we started hearing somthin' running around to our left. We could tell it wasn't squirrels or birds, and then I heard a snort! We froze and waited, dad getting ready to hand me the muzzle-loader, and then it turned and started heading toward where we were facing. (It was behind the trees of course, so we didn't even know what it was, just that it had four legs.)
Then guess what pops out of the woods? A STINKIN' DOG! Yepper folks, we thought we had us a deer and it turned out to be a dog. Big black dog. And the dog was nice enough to pee on the tree in front of our stand, just to scare off any deer that braved&amp;nbsp;it's scent. Humph.
Then about twilight, everything is still and quiet, and you can practically feel the deer moving around, and we're all relaxed......Then what do we hear? That sound that every hunter HATES to hear unless it's com'in from him............
..........BOOM!
Ah yes, it was a lovely time....lol.
As we climbed down from our stand, we heard the sound of a lucky hunter driving off on his ATV with a big ol' deer on the back.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention fencing, didn't I? We got this guy to do fencing lessons for our homeschool group, and it is so AWESOME!&amp;nbsp;Mr. Michael&amp;nbsp;makes even the stretches fun....It's fun to attack Danny, even if it's with an imaginary sword....I'm the only girl, as usual, but there are some boys my age, so they offer a bit of a challenge.
It's fun to hear the other kids groaning and moaning during the stretches and exercises, lol. Some of them don't even make it through, they just collapse on the ground. I think Mr. Michael does it on purpose, just to see how determined we are.
Soooo, what are y'all doing?

<title>Ranger's Apprentice</title>
<description>
You know you&amp;rsquo;re obsessed with the Ranger&amp;rsquo;s Apprentice series when......
(1 You&amp;rsquo;ve read every book you can get your hands on
(2 You fume every time you think about the fact that Australians get the books years before anyone else.
(3 You pre-ordered The Siege of Mackinaw before it even came out.
(4 You spend all your money on Ranger&amp;rsquo;s Apprentice books and have none left for (Name something you wanted really badly), but you still wouldn&amp;rsquo;t change it.
(5 You&amp;rsquo;ve spent hours trying to see if you can walk as quietly as Will and Halt.
(6 You&amp;rsquo;ve e-mailed John Flanagan
(7 You have a map of Araluen on your wall
(8 You can&amp;rsquo;t understand why they don&amp;rsquo;t just hurry up and make the movie
(9 If they mess the movie up you are planning on sending hate mail to the producers
(10 You agree that coffee is better with honey in it
(11 You ordered the 7th and 8th books from an Australian bookseller just so you could find out what happens, even though the price of shipping was outrageous.
(12 Every time you read another good sneaking tip, you file it away in your head for future use.
(13 You are planning on naming your kids Will, Horace, Halt, Evalynn and Alyss
(14 You made yourself a Ranger cloak
(15 You tried out archery and knife throwing because of reading the books
(16 You know exactly what the characters look like
(17 You would kill for the chance to be in the movie
(18 You made yourself an Oakleaf necklace
(19 You find yourself nodding your head as you read this
(20 You wouldn&amp;rsquo;t have to think twice if you were offered the chance to become a Ranger
(21 You hope John Flanagan writes the full lyrics to &amp;lsquo;Graybeard Halt&amp;rsquo; in a future book
(22 If John ever stops writing the books you will slap yourself unconscious
(23 You will punch anyone who says that the Ranger&amp;rsquo;s apprentice books stink
(24 You have Rangers Apprentice wallpaper on your computer
(25 You have all the Rangers Apprentice websites saved in your favorites
(26 You&amp;rsquo;ve made yourself a bow
(27 You&amp;rsquo;re off in Araluen fighting Wargals with Will when you should be doing your homework
(28 You&amp;rsquo;ve been under the covers with a flashlight reading Rangers Apprentice when you should be sleeping
(29 You&amp;rsquo;ve gotten in trouble with your parents for no. 29
(30 Your e-mail address has something to do with the Rangers Apprentice books

<description>People want to be happy, isn't that right? Haven't you heard it all your life? I want to be happy, people say. Well, aren't they? Don't we keep them moving, don't we give them fun? That's all we live for, isn't it? For pleasure, for titillation? And you must admit our culture provides plenty of these.

<title>Hey Y'all!</title>
<description>How's it going? Nothing much is going on here, just the usual. We are trying out a new church, the last one was kinda.....cuckoo. The Sr. pastor was pretty good, but the Sunday-school teachers, youth pastor, and assistant pastor were all kinda off the wall. I went to youth group, and it was pretty cool, we had a scavenger hunt, which was really fun. I'm beginning to get a reputation as 'the brainiac homeschool nerd who wears her baseball cap backwards'. (One of the teachers here is kinda confusing, and I usually end up either asking for clarification, or correcting him, which is kind of embarrassing, but I think bible teaching is just to important to let stuff like that slip by.)
Anyway, last night he mistakenly said that 'money is the root of all evil' and I raised my hand and said &quot;Actually, the LOVE of money is the root of all evil.&quot; every eyeball in the room swiveled to look in my direction. Lol.
Also, NOBODY WILL SING (in the youth group). Unfortunately, we sang, 'Shout to the Lord', and I have a very high singing voice. So everybody else mumbled through the song, while I shrieked my way through. Every head turned&amp;nbsp;to look in my direction at least twice. Oh well. At least they were discreet about staring at me.
How was your 4th of July, Americans? We had some friends up from FL and some other friends who live around here, so we had a total of 9 kids running around like maniacs, screaming at the top of their lungs. We had Go-Kart races, which was awesome! Then we went swimming and ate watermelon, and than came dinner. After dinner, while waiting for it to get dark, we argued about&amp;nbsp;who would be on&amp;nbsp;which team for War&amp;nbsp;for about fifteen minutes. Once we finally got that figured out, a light saber's batteries ran out. So after ten minutes of waiting for them to come back from changing the batteries, another kid who previously was not going to play, decided he DID&amp;nbsp;want to play. So we got in a total of 3 minutes (Give or take a few seconds) of playing before it was time for fireworks.
Weeell, that's about all I have for ya.

This is a picture I edited for our 4-H scrapbook, It's the leaders in our club. I drew the funny little suits myself!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; These are pictures of my Star Wars character costume. (Ashki Wimoc, my Star Wars name.)
&amp;nbsp;
Did any of you guys watch the Inauguration this past tuesday? Did it bug anyone beside me what Mr. preacher said about 'the white will embrace what's right', or something like that. As far as I knew, that's what we've been doing for a while now. Like all 'white' people are bad because sometime in our past our ancestors kept slaves. 'Black' people kept slaves too, and they still do as a matter of fact, in Africa. And anyway, we're all the same 'race', some people just have more/less melanin than others. Why do they make such a big deal over it? My thinking is 'Get over it already!' lol. I'm part Irish, and I don't get mad at people because their ancestors made fun of my ancestors when they came to America.
Martin Luther King Jr. said to judge people on the content of their character, not their skin colour. That goes for white people too.

<title>Well well well......</title>
<description>Hey guys! sorry I haven't been on in a loooooooong time, but all of December has been run here, run there, and back again, and than came 4-h stuff, so I'm just now getting a chance to breath! See, my mom and I were singing in our church cantata, and Shorty (Sean)&amp;nbsp;was singing in the kids choir. You would think it would just be singing, but Nooooo, they go planning parties, and field trips, and craft days, and extra practices that we had no idea would happen, and we have ourselves a hectic time. Lol. But all that's over now,&amp;nbsp; so hopefully I'll have more time on my hands.
Anyway, I'm debating with a friend of mine, on another website and they won't let me post links (says it's bad language) so I'm directing her to my blog, where I am posting all the links for evidence that life begins at conception, not a birth, therefore making abortion wrong. &quot;Hi {echo}!&quot; ***Waves*** lol. Check them out for yourselves if you want!
&amp;nbsp;I did post one pro life website, but it has quotes from scientists, and I think that counts because it's what other scientists say, not just the person who wrote the article's opinion on the issue.&amp;nbsp;

<title>Halloween</title>
<description>
&amp;nbsp;

Halloween is known today as a night when people of all ages take to the streets, dressed in all manner of costumes, to march from door to door shouting &quot;Trick or treat!&quot; at the appropriate moment.
But what started Halloween?
Is it wrong as Christians to celebrate it?
Or, is it just a harmless holiday?
The ancient, pre-Christian Celtics started this tradition, it was known to them as &amp;lsquo;The festival of the dead&amp;rsquo; or Samhain, and they believed that on that particular day, the spirits of the dead would roam the earth, and mingle with the other, living inhabitants. The people made pagan sacrifices, and bon-fires, to the dead, to help and guide them on their way to the &amp;lsquo;after-life&amp;rsquo;.
Christian missionaries attempted to change the pagan holiday, and to convert many Celtics into Christianity, but instead of obliterating the holiday, they changed it. Nov. 1st, was designated as &amp;lsquo;All Saints day&amp;rsquo; honoring all the saints, particularly those who did not have a day all to their own. The Christian missionaries hoped to draw people attention away from Samhain, and eventually, to wipe Samhain out. They never wiped the holiday out completely, as we see today. (Christmas was also celebrated on the 25th of December for this same purpose.) This brings me to All Hallows Eve. &quot;Hallows&quot; means, &quot;Saints&quot;,(Also, &quot;Hallowed&quot; means &quot;Holy One&quot; as in, Hallowed be Thy name) &quot;Eve&quot;, means, the evening before, like in Christmas eve. So Halloween means, &amp;lsquo;The evening before All Holy Ones day&amp;rsquo;
The people still celebrated the dead, only now they were thought to be evil. They also continued some of their traditions, including setting out food and drink to appease the spirits. As the centuries went on, people dressed up like these creatures, and performed antics in exchange for food. This is from what trick or treating evolved. They also believed that if they dressed up in a scary or evil looking costume, the spirits would think they were one of them, and leave them alone.
&amp;nbsp;

So, if the holiday, as well as many of the traditions celebrated on this day, is based on a pagan celebration, should or shouldn't we, as Christians, partake of the festivities?
The Bible does not say particularly, &amp;lsquo;Thou shalt not celebrate Halloween.&quot; so how do we decide what is and isn&amp;rsquo;t right?
We need to look at the Lord&amp;rsquo;s other commands, and make our decisions from them. The Bible says, &quot;Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely or admirable, think and dwell on these things.&quot; More and more, we see Halloween turn back toward the pagan holiday of Samhain. It is no longer a time to dress up in the most creative costume, and to celebrate autumn, and the harvest. It has become at time to see who can dress up the goriest, the scariest, it has become a time of gruesome decorations, with ghosts, and headstones. Is death and gore noble? Right? Pure? Certainly it&amp;rsquo;s not lovely. Why then, do we continue to dwell on it, and to glorify it? Death and pain are not things to be taken lightly. We continue to desensitize ourselves to pain and agony, by watching movies where people are being killed, or maimed. We glorify death, by placing cardboard headstones in our yards. We should be glad that as Christians, we have no fear of the grave, but we should not glorify it!
What then, should we do on Halloween? Should we sit at home all day? I&amp;rsquo;m not trying to tell you what to do, I&amp;rsquo;m not saying I&amp;rsquo;m more &quot;spiritual&quot; than you because I don&amp;rsquo;t celebrate Halloween. That is your decision, to be made by your parents, or yourself. God does not always have for one family or individual what he has for another. But there are many alternatives to celebrating Halloween.
My family and I celebrate the harvest, and autumn. We dress up, as fun things, not scary or gory. We go Trunk or Treating with our church, or go to festivals celebrating fall. We like to refer to it as, &amp;lsquo;Fall-oween&amp;rsquo;. Whatever your decision, I would like to wish you a happy Fall!
&amp;nbsp;I&amp;rsquo;m not trying to point fingers, or condemn you for celebrating Halloween, I&amp;rsquo;m simply stating my beliefs based on my research into this subject. If you want to comment and tell me what you think about Halloween, I would love it! (As long as it is polite of course ;))\
May the Force be with you

P.S. I'm gonna dress up as a spacy-lookin'-type, I got a blaster and knee high boots, and all black clothes! I'll post pictures later!&amp;nbsp;What about you guys?
