<description>

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Biking, Hiking, Garden Gawking and Park Play
37-miles of paved Centennial Trail that follows the Spokane River to the Idaho border and beyond is a great place to hike, roller skate or bike ride for FREE entertainment this summer.
Riverside State Park offers 75 miles of trails for bikers, hikers and horseback&amp;nbsp;riders just to the West of the down town Spokane area.
Newly beautified Beacon Hill area in north Spokane features a mountain bike skills park at Camp&amp;nbsp;Sekani for extremely energetic bikers.
Summer is the perfect time to explore the five gardens within Manito Park. The Japanese Garden offers a soothing oasis, and the Rose Garden features hundreds of fragrant varieties or walk through the serene Duncan Gardens. Check out (www.manitogardens. com/gardens/about_&amp;nbsp;manitogardens.htm).
City Parks Recreation Supervisor Mike Aho said, &amp;ldquo; Two years&amp;rsquo; worth of restoration means there&amp;rsquo;s never been a better time to tour the city treasure of the Moore-Turner Heritage Garden. (www.heritagegardens.&amp;nbsp;org/index.htm)
Don't forget to visit the various city parks with the wading pads to keep the kids cooled off, like Audobon Park on the North Side, Mission Park by the River or Millwood Park in the Spokane Valley area. There are so many to enjoy in addition to the Riverfront Park downtown. Don't forget all the events at Pavilion Park in Liberty Lake for Free Movie Night Weekends and Concerts there and in Coeur d' Alene Park in Browne's Addition.
Have Some fun, get out and relax this summer. L
P.S. Check out the Garland and the Spokane Valley&amp;nbsp; Cinema's for the Summer Time Free Movies

<title>2009 Spring Learning Fair Extravaganza for Homeschoolers Starts Mar. 20th</title>
<description>Greetings,&amp;nbsp;

I am addressing this to interested participating families
and to teachers and instructors who may know children
and families who would like to participate in this type of
fair. The information is extremely time sensitive.

In the past, your family has expressed an interest or has
&amp;nbsp;been involved in the Spring Learning Fair&amp;nbsp; Extravaganza.&amp;nbsp;
Due to timing and circumstances beyond my control, I've
finally worked out most of the details for this years and it is
truly a Spring Extravaganza as check in is on the first day
of Spring, Mar. 20th.

So please take a look at the information immediately and
&amp;nbsp;give me a call if you have any questions.&amp;nbsp; All the details
are attached in a Word document.

In short.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Check in is on Friday, Mar. 20th from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm.
at the campus where I teach.

Bryant Campus is 910 N. Ash, Spokane, WA.&amp;nbsp; It is at the
Intersection of Ash and Broadway, within the tri-angle
between the entrance heading south off of Ash onto the
Maple Street bridge.&amp;nbsp; (Come West of Boone and turn left
- south onto Ash.&amp;nbsp; Go straight in the middle lane rather than
&amp;nbsp;merging down onto the Maple Street bridge. You'll see the
&amp;nbsp;school on your left and pass the gym and park in parking
lot to the south of School.&amp;nbsp; The gym is the 2nd or 3rd door
on the left as you come down the hall towards the office.

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Judging is Monday, Mar. 23rd from
10:30 am to approx. 2:30 pm. Closed to the public.

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The Fair is open to the public Tuesday, Mar. 24th
from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm.

The Cooking Contest portion of the Fair will be held
at Mount Spokane High School Home Ec Kitchens
from 3:30 pm till approximately 7:00 pm on this day
(3-24)&amp;nbsp; To enter this contest you must get your entries
in by March 17th...so read this information right away.

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The Fair is open to the public Wednesday, Mar. 25th
from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The Sewing Contest and Style (Fashion modeling)
Review will be on this day from
approximately 9:30 am until completed
if we have participants interested in this event.

The ribbons and trophies will be distributed and
the Fair will close down at 5:00 pm.&amp;nbsp; Entries and
displays should be taken down and removed by 5:15pm

This is an abbreviated event this year as we are
not calling for blanket prizes and a public recital,
but should still be a great place for the kids to
display their items and projects, receive feed
back from a judge and get recognition for their
work by other people then just their immediate family.

Please&amp;nbsp; email me for complete information in a Word
Document&amp;nbsp; and send your questions and request to me at
LylaatHome@asisna.com

Thank you&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Lyla Gray at H.O.M.E.
