I am sorry it's been quite a while! I still have been looking at blogs, just not typing on my own. lol :)   A lot has been going on!  A few weeks ago for school we made our own bread for the very first time! It was so cool! We got a bunch of Green peppers, more than we ever have gotten! We also got sweet potatoes, which were so yummy! We got a lot of veggies this year that haven't grown well in years! Especially.....Pumpkins!     We got two very nice pumpkins! They actually grew from our compost accidentally! We carve pumpkins each year, so we put the pumpkin seeds and pulp in the compost. We have always tried to grow pumpkins, but they always have gotten eaten by an animal! We picked these a few weeks ago, so nothing would get them! :)     It is really nice to get veggies even in October! It was a lot of fun! We found out later when my dad got home that it was the chickens because, when my dad checked on them as he usually does he saw that...they laid their first eggs! They laid  three little brown eggs, and they were so tiny and cute! We were really surprised, because we thought they would start laying later in September! It was a big surprise, and I am really happy! :D   Here are pictures:     The cute little eggs in the nesting box. (The bigger one is the false egg that we put in there. :)     We think just the Buff Orphingtons laid eggs, because there are 3 (we have 3 Buffs) and they all looked the same. We don't know for sure though. :) Here is Mama Lucy! lol :D     Here is another one of our chickens, Haddie. She is so pretty! :)     It is so neat how chickens lay eggs. It was so much fun! I always like to look for vintage and old-fashioned items for good prices when we go to yardsales! I found some really neat things!! :D Here are some pictures of the things I found recently at the World's Longest Yardsale and at other Yardsales. :)     First, Here is a beautiful pitcher that was $2.       This other really pretty pitcher for $5 or $6.       Beautiful figurine of two young women, for $2.       An stationary/letter holder or organizer, for $4.     It is so nice to store all of my cards I make in it! :D     A victorian picture with frame for $3.     A Cival-War era picture with frame for $5.   and last but not least...     An Anne of Green Gables Collector Doll for $2!         She is so cute, and I was so happy to find her since I Love Anne of Green Gables! :)   I hope you all enjoyed looking my yardsale finds! Hehe, we thought it up.) I am now a 10th grader! I had a wonderful first day! My mom went easy on Hope and I and we didn't do Math, Spelling, or Grammar.  Also, We got started with school at around 9:00 am and I got done at around 11:00 am! Here is the scheldule that I had today:   ~Bible (Genesis 1-2, we are going to read through the whole Bible)   ~Biology, God's living Creation   ~World History and Cultures   ~World Literature   ~Reading a book of my choice (I am now reading a book called Titatic Crossing, and it is really good!)   I love learning! I really love how each one of my books is in a Christian perspective, that I learn more about God when I am reading my books. This is my 4th year being homeschooled,and I am so thankful that it is! :D   Also, we have been watching Pride & Predjudice movie (the long one), so we watched that after we got done with school, and we finished it. It was so good!
