<title> - Homeschool Blogger</title>
<description>Welcome to Orchard Slope!
I am a 15 year old homeschooled Christian girl. I LOVE my Savior above everything, and I want to live for Him! Some other things I enjoy are reading, blogging, card-making, having fun, animals, old-fashioned and vintage things, being with friends, writing, and photography. I love taking pictures! You will see a lot of them here. Also, the Anne of Green Gables series is one of my favorite book series, and it inspired my template. I hope you enjoy your stay at Orchard Slope and be sure to leave a comment before you leave! :)

<title>Our Own Pumpkin Patch!</title>
<description>Hi Everyone!
&amp;nbsp;
Our garden did pretty good this year! We got a bunch of Green peppers, more than we ever have gotten! We also got sweet potatoes, which were so yummy! We got a lot of veggies this year that haven't grown well in years! Especially.....Pumpkins!
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
We got two very nice pumpkins! They actually grew from our compost accidentally! We carve pumpkins each year, so we put the pumpkin seeds and pulp in the compost. We have always tried to grow pumpkins, but they always&amp;nbsp;have&amp;nbsp;gotten&amp;nbsp;eaten by an animal! We picked these a few weeks ago, so nothing would get them! :)
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
It is really nice to get veggies even in October! My dad has built a greenhouse too, so he is planting things in there for the winter. :)
&amp;nbsp;
I hope you all have a great weekend!
&amp;nbsp;
Love,
Liz

<title>A surprise...from the chickens!!</title>
<description>Hi everyone! :)
&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;We heard some weird noises around 9:00 this morning and Hope and I thought it was just geese flying over. We found&amp;nbsp;out later&amp;nbsp;when my dad got home that it was the chickens because, when my dad checked on them as he usually does he saw that...they laid their first eggs! They laid &amp;nbsp;three little brown eggs, and they were so tiny and cute! We were really surprised, because we thought they would start laying later in September! It was a big surprise, and I am really happy! :D
&amp;nbsp;
Here are pictures:
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
The cute little eggs in the nesting box. (The bigger one is the false egg that we put in there. :)
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
We think just the Buff Orphingtons laid eggs, because there are 3 (we have 3 Buffs) and they all looked the same. We don't know for sure though. :) Here is Mama Lucy! lol :D
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
Here is another one of our chickens, Haddie. She is so pretty! :)
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
It is so&amp;nbsp;neat&amp;nbsp;how chickens lay eggs. God is amazing. :)
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
Here are the small yolks! :) I cannot wait until we get eggs that we can eat! :)
&amp;nbsp;
So, there is our surprise for the day! :D
&amp;nbsp;
Love,
Liz

<title>A New School Year...</title>
<description>&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp;
Today was our first day of school at &amp;nbsp;NS Academy home-school (No-Stress Academy. Hehe, we thought it up.) I am now a 10th grader! I had a wonderful first day! My mom went easy on Hope and I and we didn't do Math, Spelling, or Grammar.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Also, We got started with school at around 9:00 am&amp;nbsp;and I got done at around 11:00 am! Here is the scheldule that I had today:
&amp;nbsp;
~Bible (Genesis 1-2, we are going to read through the whole Bible)
&amp;nbsp;
~Biology, God's living Creation
&amp;nbsp;
~World History and Cultures
&amp;nbsp;
~World Literature
&amp;nbsp;
~Reading a book of my choice (I am now reading a book called Titatic Crossing, and it is really good!)
&amp;nbsp;
I love learning! I really love how each one of my books is in a Christian perspective, that I learn more about God when I am reading my books. This is my 4th year being homeschooled,and I am so thankful that it is! :D
&amp;nbsp;
Also, we have been watching Pride &amp;amp; Predjudice movie&amp;nbsp;(the long one), so we watched that after we got done with school, and we finished it. It was so good! I love the Jane Austen movies! :D
&amp;nbsp;
When are you all starting school, or have you already? :)
&amp;nbsp;
Love,
Liz
