oodbye for now....

Hi, well, as many of you have heard, some of us are leaving this "blogging" community for whatever reason. My reasoning is for one, I never get much feed back and that might be because my writings are boring or I don't comment on other peoples blogs that I don't know. For two, I have a terrible time getting on sometimes, but no matter, I'm moving over to www.Iam4everHis.blogspot.com. I hope it was ok to put that on here as I don't know how to do all that other fancy stuff.

It's been fun while it lasted. Come visit sometime. Love to have you.

Follow up to prayer requests

Well, in my last blog, I asked you to pray for my dad who has been doing a massive medication treatment on his face for pre-cancer cells on his face. It has been extremely rough on him. He has been in alot of pain and hasn't been able to sleep for about two weeks now. I feel so sad for him. He has called the Doctor 3 times just today to make sure he is supposed to be feeling this way, and they have assured him that he is. Please, keep him in your prayers for healing and that he will not be in pain and that he will be able to sleep at night and return to work soon.

I also asked you to be praying for my grandmother with ovarian cancer. Well, I am sad and happy all at the same time to say that she went on to be with the Lord on Saturday. She never suffered, and her death was quick. My mom was always with her and took care of her. I, as well as the rest of my family, will miss her immensely, but I know her job on earth is done. There is a party in heaven going on right now for my "mammaw". Please continue to keep us all in your prayers, especially my mom.

Thanks.

Prayer requests for my family....

A couple of weeks ago my dad went to the doctor to find out that he had Pre-cancer cells on his face. He has had to under go some HARSH treatments on his face that consist onf putting some kind of lotion on everyday for about 4 weeks. He still has about one more week to go. Well, this last week has made him very uncomfortable when he goes out in the cold. My dad, as I have blogged before, is awesome, without a doubt, the best dad in the world!! He hasn't even been outside. He has taken off work for the week. He never ever takes off work!! Please be in prayer for him that he has a full healing on his face and that the Lord will relieve him of the uncomfort that he is feeling. His face doesn't look very nice either, so please pary that the Lord will give him back his handsome face...SMILE.

Also, about a month ago, my grandmother (my mom's mother) was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. She is 83 years old. There were many other complications to go along with this that made her very sick because of doctors mistakes, however the Lord has pulled her through that with flying colors. Now we have just gotten the results this morning of how far her cancer has progressed. Unfortunately, her cancer is in its last stages. She was in Charlottesville at UVA and they moved her up here to Jefferson Memorial last week. Now she is going home to her house today, and my mom is going to take care of her along with home health care and hospice. And, my mom's sisters will help amd myself and other family members. Please, please be in prayer for my grandmother that she will not be in pain and that our family will have the Lord's strength during this time of hardship. Especially be in prayer for my mom as she has been the rock of our family and the Lord is so strong in her and you can see Him working in her right now, and I pray that He continues to do so in her Life.

Thank you in advance for your paryers.

Blasphemy????!!!!!

I am going to try to be as general about this as I can to protect the innocent. I know someone that has a wonderful family life and has been brought up for a long, long time in the Lord and I was talking to them and have talked to them ALOT about the Lord and at one time, I didn't even realize that they hadn't accepted the Lord yet. Well, recently some problems have risen and alot more talking has had to occur. In a recent conversation, I again, brought up the Lord and let this person know that satan was having his way, and the person said they knew that, and I said to the person," you are blasphemying the Lord, you are rejecting God." Amd they said they didn't care. It broke my heart and made me angry all at the same time. How can someone have it around them and have it handed to them on their lap and still deny what He's done for them?? I could scream!! I think of soooo many teens out in this world today that I know and I know that they say that they "know who God is", but so does the devil. But, I watch how they live and they definitely do not have a relationship with our Saviour. There's no guilt when they are out fighting other people over boys and there's no guilt in boyfriend/girlfriend relationships when they go beyond want they should, there's no shame in their language, there's no shame in their dress, there's no couth in their music. Where is the relationship with their Lord and Saviour?? There os no shame in WHO dates WHO. Where is obedients to parents? They are called to obey and we are called to instruct..... All by GOD. I am furious right now at how some of these kids disrespect their parents, and some parents ALLOW IT. And, some go above and beyond their call of duty to see to it that their children know about the Lord and their Children still reject Him.

I have difficult children and easy children and I know for some of mine its going to be a long rode and some it will be a bit easier but still difficult, but I will do my best and love them through it all, and I know I will mess up, daily, but I promise you they are being exposed who our gracious Lord and Saviour. I hope you will join along with me and pray for all of our children that they will choose to accept our Jesus as their saviour and live a Godly life. And, pray for those who have not accepted Him that their hearts will soften daily and that they will come to know and love Jesus as their one and only Lord and Saviour. Amen.

forgetful and in need of forgiveness!!

I made a big boo-boo yesterday!! My sister-in-law had asked me to get my neice to school because we had a two hour delay and I told her I would. However, she asked me right when I was taking a nap in the middle of the day, which is still no excuse, but it's kinda gose along with the story. The next morning I procede with my morning getting the kids ready to take them to my friends house because I had let's dish at 9:30 and the other two children had regular hours of school. You see, I forgot totally about watching my neice!! And, later that day, after returning home from let's dish and putting all of my meals in the freezer I noticed about 5 missed calls on my cell phone, hers being one. I still had no clue what I had done. So, I returned all my calls including hers and she didin't answer. Then, after about 1/2 an hour, it started to come back to me that I forgot to watch my neice!!!!! I felt horrible, so I tried her again... this time an her cell and home, but still no answer at either place. I know by this time that she's pretty upset with me.

And, that evening I talked to my brother and she is upset with me. I explained to him that I just forogt because, I was sleeping when she asked me. I feell like a "heel". I know that she knows that I would NEVER intentionally do something like that to hurt her or my niece. I love them dearly, but she's very upset with me. I am naturally a "forgetter" anyway. All my friends know that you have to remind me atleast 1,000 times before an event if you want me there. Although, my palm pilot has been a big asset to my life.

Anyway, Any suggestions on making her fell better???

Is my Daughter a U.S. citizen??

Let me explain. This week at school, the kids had to take a citizenship test to see if they would qualify to be U.S. citizens by passing this test of their Knowledge. Here are some of the questions....Who wrote the Declaration of Independence? Her answer: Ronald Reagan :(! Next Question...Who are two supreme judges? Answer: Judge Judy and Judge Joe Brown...:0(!!! Still yet another question...Who is the Chief Justice? Are you ready for this one??? Her answer...Pocahontas's Father!!! OMG!!! Here's another good one: Who are the two representatives? Patricia Noland (she's her grandmother, my mom) and whoever else. Oh, and here's one.... What do the 13 stripes on the flag represent? She says.... 13 countries or counties or something like that!!

There were lots more interesting questions with even more interesting answers.Well, I guess that means that she needs to start studying a little more about our history. When we homeschooled, I promise, we went over ALL or most of this. We even took a field trip to D.C. and went to the History museum. I guess it just hasn't sunk in yet, obviously. At first, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry, but then, I laughed cause she has such a wit about her, that you can't not laugh. Then, later I asked what they were studying in Social Studies, and we came to the conclusion that it is just that.... Social studies.

I'm just glad that she was born a U.S. citizen and doesn't have to take the test to become one... in the meantime, maybe she should freshen up on her history a bit!!

Oh, and by the way, she REALLY is a smart girl, she has just forgotten a few things:0)!!

Prayer Request....

I normally don't ask for prayer for myself. I probably should, but I just don't want people to feel "sorry" for me, and still don't on this occasion, so please don't. However, I do need prayer. I haven't been feeling very well. Since Saturday, I have been feeling EXTREMELY tired.....like unbelievably tired. I can't describe it. I go to sleep fatigue and wake up that way. I do a load of laundry and I am WIPED OUT!!! It takes all I have to get through the day. I feel pretty useless at this point. I am getting very discouraged, and I am going to have to resort to doing what I dislike.....going to the Doctor!!!! Please pray that it's, of course, nothing serious, and that I will muster up some energy somewhere so that I can function as I normally do in this chaotic house that I love to be busy in with sooo much to get done!!! Thank you for your prayers in advance....

I'm back for today

Well, it's been over a month since I've blogged. And, it's for no other reason other than, I just haven't. Although, December for me has been a month for many celebrations. We've had a surprise party for my mom and dad's 6oth birthday parties here at my house followed by, of course Christmas a few weeks later and then a week later on new year's eve was my beautifu daughter, Kayla's, 12th birthday. She had a wonderful slumber party. I have to be honest... I thought that I would dread it...,10 girls up all night and me getting NO SLEEP!!. However, it was just the opposite. I loved it as much as they did. It was the best group of girls that I've ever seen together. They (and myself) watched movies, ate, had a pajama fashion show, ate some more, had an icecream social, ate some more, watched another movie and ate SOME MORE. Finally, at 1:30AM, I went to bed and they were all still kickin'. At 6:30 AM, I went to check on them, 3 of them were still awake.....(Go Grace, Lauren Z. and Claire)!!! However, soon after that, they passed out COLD!!!!! Then , I woke them up to a nice big breakfast!! I love this age!! I thought I would dread it, but the older my daughter gets, the better we get along and the more we laugh together.Did I just say that I love this age, cause I do sooooo much!!!!!! I hope that my other three children are this much fun in their pre-teen years!! I can only pray! Well, that's the update. Hope all is well with you guys!! Talk to you soon hopefully!!!

Do you "Dish"?

How many of you out there have heard of "let's Dish"? Well, my friends, many of you that are my friends are about to. Some of you have already had a heads-up. It's a new way of cooking if cooking is not your favorite thing to do or if you just don't have time to cook or if you don't know how to cook. A couple of my friends from church turned me on to it. A couple of weeks ago my best friend, her cousin, and myself went to Leesburg to "dish".It was soooo cool. Let me explain.

First of all you go on the internet to letsdish.com and sign up; then you pick your meals and how many you want, pay for them and pick your time to go and get directions to wherever your "dishing" place is in your area and then go on your scheduled time. Sounds easy so far, huh?? Secondly, on the day you "dish", you take a cooler with ice and yourself or your friends who have scheduled with you and you drive to your designated "dishing" area and you start dishing by picking up your card of all of the dishes that you signed up for. It's so easy. The stations are kinds set up like a subway and the recipes for the "dish" is on top of the station. You simply follow the recipe and put all of your ingredients into large and small baggies depending what the directions call for and all of the spoons are already measured out for you. I have to add that my friend,JoJo (named changed to protect the innocent...LOL), almost cannot butter her own bread, much less follow a recipe, so she brought a family member with her to her "dishing" experience, and by the end they had finished their recipes and she was helping me finish up!!!! I cannot stress to you all how easy it is! I absolutely HATE to cook and I love to "dish" and my kids and husband have loved 99% of the meals so far. I will be going every 2 weeks from now on, because it is also very economical. Check it out and see for yourself!!!!! If you wanna come with us to our next "dish" outing, let me know!!!

old friends but forever friends!!

Yesterday, I got two of my children that I used to homeschool out of school so that we could go to the Thanksgiving feast at Kate's house. Since we don't homeschool or go to the same church anymore, we don't have the opportunity to see those friends very often at all. My family and myself miss those friends very much!!! We took the opportunity to celebrate Thanksgiving with them yesterday and it was wonderful. And, Julie even came in from Texas to be with us all as well. It was just like ol' times. When we are all together, it's like none of us have never missed a beat. Everyone loves each other unconditionally... no matter what. There were a few faces missing for one reason or another, but it was so good to see the ones that were there. One person asked me if I missed homeschooling and I quickly answered NO!! And I don't miss the schooling part because I know that that's not what the Lord has for our family, however, I do miss the fellowship of these friends!!! They were a huge part of our lives for a very, very long time, and sometimes it makes me sad to think about the changes. Then, I have to remember, that the Lord has me here now, in a new church, with new fellowship and these old friends are still very much my friends, I just don't get the opportunity to spend wery much time with them and I need to cherish every moment that I do get to spend with them. The Lord knows better than me....right??!!!

So, here I am pondering on the great time I had yesterday with my old friends!!! I love you guys!!!!! I hope we can join you again soon!!

Here is my georgeous son, Kobe. He won a writing contest today at School. I had two friends call me and tell me. I felt so blessed when they called me. He has come so far!!! Here he is with his award and his new glasses that he got just this past week. Doesn't he look soooo handsome!?! He has come from being an OUT-OF-CONTROL little boy at the age of 3, to being an outstanding, loving, gentle compassionate lilttle "mommy's boy"!! He does continue to suffer from AD/HD, however, for now, without medication, we continue to help him and remind him of seld-control throughout the day on a daily basis. He continues to amaze us academically and socially, and physically as the Lord has truly blessed him in his talents when it comes to having a ball in his hand!! We thank the Lord everyday for allowing us to have been blessed with such an amazing child!!

Happy Belated Birthday Karley and Mom!!

Happy, Happy, Happy 9th Birthday Karley!!!! And Happy 60th to my mom, yesterday!!! Karley's birthday was on the 21st, but with lots going on, I didn't get to blog about it until now. Infact, we had her party scheduled and had to reschedule that too, but Karley has been a trooper about it. She is just that kind of kid. She is a very compassoinate little girl. She loves, loves, loves babies......REAL BABIES!!! She will make a great mom someday, but for now she settles for being a babysitter to our wonderful Strider. She also enjoys riding her 4-wheeler and her new electric scooter that she got for her birthday. She likes things to be neat and clean and gets grumpy if they're not....lol. She likes things very orderly too. I don't know how she survives here some days as it always seem chaotic here. I think that's why she likes her 4-wheeler so much cause she can take a ride and get out of this wild house.....lol!!!

A Time of Sadness

My best friend, Joann, has had a huge tragedy just unfold in her life.... as if she doesn't have enough going on already. She lost her step-mother last Tuesday and then, Thursday of this week (two days ago) she lost her dad unexpectedly and tradgicallly. Her father was a very funny man. He made us laugh often. I stayed with him and Joann alot when I was younger, and we had LOTS of rules to follow so that the house was kept in "tip-top" shape, but he was a very fun-loving and generous man. We miss him very very much!! My daughter Kayla beame very close to him in the last several years also and so did my daughter Teasha. He was a very special man to us. Words cannot express our love for him and now our devastation.

Please, lift up, especially Joann in prayer and her 5 month old son Strider as they go through such an enormous transition and lots of emotions during this time.

"Lord, give us all the strength and courage to get through this time of sadness. Give us your hope to hold on to. Let your hand be upon all of us that loved Joey so much, but especially, my dear sister and friend Joann. Bless us with your peace, sweet Jesus. In your name, Amen."

Here we are!!! WHAT A BLAST!!! The top left hand corner is all of us that went. then the next corner, was my friend Pam "helping" me ans Pacos into the water. I was determined to get her in, and so I told Pam to pony us in, and it worked....woohoo!! Then, bottom left hand corner is some more of our friends Scott and Cindy, then the picture beside them is Melissa and her faithful thoroughbred, Storm. Then, here at the bottom is me on my Pacos ALL THE WAY IN THE WATER.

We rode all day on Saturday and about 3 hours on Sunday. We boarded our horses at a race track right down the road in between Ocean City and Assategue Island. It was perfect. This is Pam and Mine's second annual trip. The first year I took the horse that you have seen me on in my avatar. I have since then sold him and bought my pacos. So, I need to change my avatar with Pacos and me now together. heehee.

Anyway, we are going to make this trip annually to Assategue. This is really all we go down for... is to ride horses on the beach. Some of us didn't even go out to eat. We got up ate breakfast, went to the barn and fed the horses loaded up the trailers and off we went to the beach and tacked up and rode and then went back to the barn unloaded the horses and fed them and went home showered and Melissa cooked and we went to bed for the night. Same thing the next morning, then headed home. Although, Judy, Pam, and, Heather went out for some delicious seafood one night!! Go Girls!! Cindy and Scott ate at the delious Dumsers ice cream and brought me back a sundae.

Anyway, the beach ride was the BOMB!!! And, you can only do this from October from April. October seems to be the best time because of the water temperature. Well, I'm off to unpack.....

A prayer request

Proverbs 17:17, "A friend loves at all times."

I have an enormous burden for my friend Joann. Just last night her step mother died from Emphazema(sp). It was to be expected sometime soon, however, this morning there was another unspoken tragedy that hit her hard, very hard. She is doing remarkably, because she is leaning on the Lord and she knows that He is her strength and peace through all of her valleys. But, please be in prayer for her and her father as there will be a long road ahead for the both of them.

Let me just say in case there are any assumptions by any of you that know her that she did NOT relapse and her baby is, of course, wonderful as well..... she is again, as I said, clinging tightly to the Lord!! Praise God for His healing hand upon her!!!!

Please Rally with me and others in prayer for Joann and her father as they go through the loss of a loved one and other tragedies in their lives at this time.... pray for peace and strength and of course the Lord's intervention in this situation.

Thank you in advance for your prayers.

A getaway weekend...

It was sooo nice to have a weekend away. We laughed ALOT and the men played a round of golf and we all went on a small leisure horseback ride (not to what we are used to here), and we ate ALOT, and we went to the movies, oh and did I say we laughed ALOT, and we shopped, and laughed ALOT!!!

My best friend, Joann, you know, "Marry Poppins without the Umbrella" watched my kids and of course my kids didn't want us to come home yet, because Joann is sooo Fun, but it was time for us to get back in the swing of reality...lol, which is Chaos....heehee. So, we're home and I took the kids to school this morning and here I am blogging quickly before I start cleaning and doing laundry.

Oh, BUT, this weekend, I am going with 6 other friends, Lord willing, to Assategue Island to ride our horses on the beach. I will take lots of pictures and blog them and will be posting about that next week. SO, Watch for that post. That will be the end of our trips until January... then we are Mexico bound with the Pierce's, Nicholson's and Now the Johnson's (Melissa and Perry) want to join us.......YAHHH!!!!

A crisp morning of watching critters...little and BIG

One of my favorite things to do is watch my horses after I let them out of their stalls in the mornings. Some days, they act like horses in the wild and other days they just mope out and find place to graze. Today was a morning of both. Most of my horses were just wanting to graze while our famous 3 year old baby Nipper wanted to act like a "horse in the wild". I love it when they play. Nipper proceded to try and get every horse in the field to play with him. He went from the 21yr. old mare to, our 19 yr. old gelding, then to our 14yr. old gelding, ot 12 yr. old mare, to 6 yr. old mare. Everyone pinned their ears at him and shewed him away. He is sooo funny, so he went off by himself and started buckin', rearin', and actin' like a wild buckin' bronco', hopin' that someone would join in on the fun, but noone did. heehee. While, to the left of me, my three cats were playing with each other in the trees. They were chasin each other and havin' a grand old time. I thought for a minute that maybe Nipper could or would join them, cause they were in the same field cause he does approach them quite often, but I must say he is a bit intmidating to them...lol.

ANd, as I'm blogging my Beagle and German Shepherd are out front chasing each other in the front yard. It's so theraputic to watch my animals. It brings me great pleasure to know that they are happy here.

I wish I had a camera this morning to post my cats, my dogs and Nipper and his "fuddyduddy field mates", but I typically don't bring a camera to the barn with me.... I guess I better start.

AGHHHHH!!!! Its a snake!!! (we think!)

Last night, as my children were hanging out down stairs, they all proceded to come runnin' and SCREAMING up the stairs. They were all frantic!! They were yelling, "it's a snake, there's a snake in Teasha's room, There's a snake down stairs, we think it's a snake, it's sooo small!!!!" So, of course, Del nd I immediatley procede down the stairs.

O.K., well, before I finish or continue this story, I must go down a "little rabbit ttrail "for those of you that might come across my blog and NOT know me. I ABSOLUTELY, POSITVELY DO NOT DO SNAKES. I know I live on a farm, however, since we have lived here, the Lord has been very gracious to me and has only alllowed me to see two and they were still cold and curled up WAY dawn in our horse fields and our house wasn't even built yet. Infact, the reason we sold our very first house is becasue our land was filled with snakes!! And, they got in our house!!! So, bad that one weekend I told my husband and father, me and our first child weren't coming home until I knew ALL the snakes were gone. And ya know what, we didn't come home until he and my dad tore the hosue up Hi and Low and th esnakes were gone. Mind you they were little tiny snakes no bigger than worms as my dad said, But I said I didn't care they were snakes. That is just ONE story of my dreaded snake experiences. So, back to my current event.

And, down the steps we go with all the kids pointing to what was a tiny " no bigger than a worm" SNAKE!!!!! It was in, not Teasha's room, but our nice new, finished family room in our basement!!! Agh!!!! Anyway, I was not happy to say the least. Where there is one BABY SANKE, THERE ARE MORE BABIES AND A MOMMA!!! I thought about all night and came up with that, our barn is not too far off from our house, and we store our hay in our lean-to on the side of the barn. I am gouing to make my husband and dad, ofcourse, this mornig search AGAIN hi and low until they resolve this snake issue. I called my mom immediatley last night and she said, "are you ready to move??" I said, "Nah." I guess that's what a little LExapro does for you. I' m not making a joke, but I guess I am kinda. I don't near have the anxieties as bad as I used to before my medicine. Now, I can deal with things much better. I'm not as anxious this time although I did check my covers this time before I got into bed...Heehee. At least I still slept in my bed. So, off I go to get my little "slithery" children out of bed and then, to call my daddy to come over and help my husband search for the momma and her babies!!!! Wish Us luck and Please pray for no more snakes... I really don't want to sell this house .... WE LOVE OUR FARM!!!!

My Best Friend,Joann and My Godson, Joseph Strider Christian

This is my handsome soon-to-be 5 month old Godson, Strider and his mommy,Joann. We just celebrated, last Tuesday, Joann's one year anniversary of Sobriety!! Yah!! As you can see here, being a mother suits her very well. She is super mom, and we often call her "Mary Poppins without the umbrella" because she is AWESOME with ALL children. She always has been. We are all so proud of her and continue to lift her up and watch her grow daily as we grow in our walk with the Lord with her.

Joann and I have grown up together since we were toddlers starting out in the same church together until I was 21. We went to school together and have been best friends always. She was the maid-of-honor in my wedding and was there shortly after my babies were born and there when I met my husband. You get the point.... Life-long friends! She struggled for about 5 years, and we sruggled right along with her and prayed daily for her and burdened for her. By the grace of God, He has brought her back better than ever and with her miracle baby, Joseph Strider Christian!!!!!

Some girlfriends and myself and her counselor took her out to dinner last night to celebrate with her and we all had a blast, filled with lots of laughter, some tears and lots of joy!!!!!!

WE LOVE YOU, JOANN!!!

YAH!!!! Anyway, Please, first of all, go back to my previous blog and wish my daughter Teasha a Happy, Happy Birthday, then come back and continue with my blog about our famous "Nipper"!!

This is a picture of him resting after a long day of grazing and filling his belly. Life as a horse is a hard life...LOL!! Well, really for him, I must give him credit, he is VERY MUCH LOVED, however, he does get worked "gently", but alot. We are getting him ready for the Qarter horse circuit next season. He is the one that I was telling you about that can open the stall door and didn't lay down the day AFTER I had just given him a bath and I fussed at him for starting to. he is "Mr. Personality" in our barn. It doesn't get much better than him, ( Whisper) but don't tell our other horses or they might be offended. I love them ALL so much but he just has SOOOOO much personality. Anyway, he's still a baby ,and has so much to learn. I can't wait to see how much "smarter" he's going to get. I hope you enjoy.
