Hmmm what should I call this entry...

It has been awhile since I have updated things here. I have been soo busy with things and spending time with my family. This summer has gone by soo quickly but has been a blessing. So many blessings here. First my oldest is stil in the US Navy and doing very well, my 2nd son who is 19 yrs old joined the US AirForce and he is right now waiting for his orders on when he is to leave for bootcamp. He scored really well on his ASVAB test also. He could gotten into rocket science if he wanted to but that is just not his cup of tea. I can't remember all he was wanting to do but they were all good jobs and also he had failed his color blind test. I am still homeschooling but now I am down to one. She is the baby of the family and she just started highschool (still homeschooling)

I have been with family since June of this summer, my parents came and visited and helped me purge things out of my life physically, mentally and especially spiritually. The visit was a beautiful blessing. Plus my parents gave me some good books for homeschooling. I have been blessed this year with a garden small one and a container garden. It has been a blessing to our family supplying us with fresh produce. I have also been learning to can and dry and freeze things poperly with my food saver roflol. My dh has been blessing me with new toys to make my life a bit easier. I have been enjoying the sunshine and my clothes line, for I have been using it every time I wash clothes. I have also learned to make my own hand soaps, laundry soap, deodorant, and hair conditioners. My daughter is not happy with the changes but yet she is learning. We are simplifying out lives here and spending more time with the scriptures and almost next to nothing with the TV here we dont' care for it. woo hoo that is a great thing. We have a lot of new books to read and more on the way . I am excited about this new year of new things and learning with just my daughter. What a blessing

ARE YOU BUSY AS A BEE OR ARE YOU JUST BUSY LIKE THE WORLD....

Are you busy as a bee or busy as the world.... A bit ago I went to a homeschool group meeting and met some moms that were either just getting started with homeschooling their children that were young or been homeschooling for awhile now.

The subject we spoke about was how to keep your house in order, how to keep things going with homeschooling ect... I had found that some of the younger moms were trying to do it all being busy as the world.... Go to library, go to play group, to to mommy and me, go to the store, clean the house, go to work (some had jobs), go to here go to there ect.... I found my self getting tired just listening to them. I asked them how they felt the end of the day and what you think was wrong ..... for some said they are soo worn out and sooo tired and ect.... and worried they are not teaching their children ...

Here is what I think you can take it or you can leave it. First and formost Why are you homeschooling? Is it a trend that is popular or is it something that weighs on your heart that you are to educate your children at home? Are you just trying to be like a friend or are you wanting to teach your children and keep them safe from what the world has to offer? ..... I have found that most moms truely are homeschooling for they know it is best for their children. But, I have found some that are not. It saddens me. Anyways .... We are to also remember homeschooling is not like public school and we don't have to do it like the schools or like the world says it has to be done. Yes, we are to obey the laws of our states, but we are to remember the children are the most important thing not what such and such thinks. We don't need to take johnny to play group, we don't have to take them to the library story time, we don't have to run ourselves ragged. We are to be enjoying the time we have to educate our children, we are to enjoy the time we have with them for that time is like a blink of an eye and then poof it is gone then you sit back and look to see what you have accomplished with them and .... I don't know about you but I don't want any regrets... Do you?

So, are you busy at a bee or are you busy like the world? Something to sit down and really think about.

PS this is three things that have helped me through homeschooling and raising children and ect...

1. Breathe

2. K.I.S.S. - KEEP IT SIMPLE SISTER

3. RELAX AND ENJOY

Shalom to you all,

We have been so busy here with many things going on and a lot of learning and expecailly mom :) Anyways, we had a great time during the months of November and December. We worked on puging things out of our lives toys and junk we don't need. if not needed we get rid of it. We are to focus more in the scriptures and less on the things of the world. We have been cleaning house spiritually and physically. I am soo happy with all that has been accomplished in our home. We have gotten rid of many many many boxes of things that the children have out grown and that they knwo they will not need anymore and things that we realized were not good for our family to have and we let it go. We are feeling the burden leaving and we are soo much more happy with all we have accomplished. Yet there is sooooo much more to do .... We are continuing with our purging and things to get out of the house I didn't realze we had this much stuff .... Well when all boxed up you don't see it until you take it out of the boxes lol

Well that is the one thing we have been doing. The other thing is looking for a place to move to this is taking a bit longer than dh thought(giggle) but enjoying the time looking. He has also been more often home with his family and enjoying his time home :) We as well are enjoying him home. We are so blessed with him home.

Also Hanukkah was very different this year .. we didn't do gifts for each day since our children are older; so we took the last day of Hanukka and shopped for gifts. We did this as a family and we had a great time doing it. Our son who si 19yrs old bought himself clothes, a coat, really nice shirts, and other things he needed nothing of wants or somethings to entertain himself. Daughter bought some games and music. Our Time together has been a blessing and a joy.

thank you for reading and blessings to you.

UPDATE

Shalom to you all. It is hard to believe that summer is gone and we are now in the fall season. So much has been happening in our home.

To start off as all of you know by now my 2nd son has graduated high school this past June. I am now down to just home schooling one child. It is a bit of a culture shock for me and yet also a blessing.

Let me start off with this past year and all that has been going on since June of last year. So you can see all the blessings and joy we have had even through the trying times.

My eldest son had joined the United States Navy in June of 2007, then he left for boot camp on October 1, 2007. My family and I were blessed to get to go see him graduate from Naval Boot Camp on November 30, 2007. He then went to CT for submarine school. He came home for a short visit in January of 2008, then back he went to CT and back to his studies. He graduated from Submarine School September 25th , 2008. My son graduated top of his class and he was awarded several awards. They were:

1. Honor Graduated Award

2. Achievement Award for the highest GPA

3. Promoted to Seaman (was promoted 1 time while in school and then again at graduation.)

My Seaman was the only homeschooler in the graduating class to his knowledge. After he graduated he came home for 10 days and we were able to get a family photo done and enjoy the time with him we had. He left after 10 days to his duty station which is CA.

Seaman is now all settled in and seems to be doing very well. Everyone here at home miss him very much but are also very proud of all he has accomplished.

Ok now for the 2nd son. He is staying home for now and going to be getting his license and then going to get a job for now and take time to figure out what he wants to do. He has several choices to make, he is wanting to just take a year to pray and figure out what direction he is to go to persue what he wants to do in his life. He is such a blessing and a help here at home. He is still wanting to pursue criminal law. This is his dream and I am going to be in prayer that if this is what he is to do that Elohim will open the door for him and help him through this journey to get his degree in this

Now the last one that I have to home school is my daughter. I have 5 years left with her before she graduates high school. Her and I are enjoying our one on one time with each other. We are also enjoying our snuggle time together with a good book. This school year started late but that is ok we home school giggle. We home school year round; we are always learning things here in this house. We are going to miss our time we have spent this summer enjoying the outside and the warmth and beauty but every season has its own beauty.

Thank you for reading this update. Hopefully more to come soon

Blessings

Randy is the father in the family he has struggled for the past year with many issues with illness but Adonai has bless him and his family. He has gone through many physical challenges but yet Adonai has blessed his family. His wife is tired physically but she continues on being wife, mom and friend. She is one that everyone seems to think is strong but her and I and I know others know that it is the Father that helps keep her going. Any ways enjoy the slide show it is a blssing and done by a local news paper where we live and it glorifes Adonai :)

blessings

GRADUATION ANNOUNCEMENT

We have done it again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Michael our 2nd child graduated highschool on June 30, 2008. His father and I are both very proud of him and all he has accomplished in his life thus far.

What a blessings it has been to be Michael's parents and also it has been a blessing to been able to homeschool him.

Michael our son has grow into a responsible man and we have learned so much with him on his journey to this point in his lfe. We watched him grow spiritually, mentally, and physically.

HISTORY

Michael was involved in the Toledo, Ohio Civil Air Patrol and was in their Color Guard for part of his highschool years.

Michael worked part time on a farm and he volunteered his time helping with Children's Minitries at a church. Michael has learned to be diligent in all that he does and in his life, he has also learned to be quiet and listen to what others have to say before he speaks. He has a big heart and loves to help others when they are in need.

Since studying Civics his senior year, Michael has found that his interest is in Criminal Law. He is not sure if he will be going striaght to college or if he wll be going into the United States Navy to persue his goal. So, he is planning on taking a year to pray and research his options for persuing a Criminal Law degree.

Update

Shalom to you and thank you for coming to read my blogg.

It has been a while since I have gotten a chance to type up a blogg. So, much has been happening here in our home. So, many blessings and also some attacks by the enemy. But we continue to home school Adonai’s way and not the worlds way.

Let me start at the beginning. So, far we have graduated our 2nd child in our family our son Michael. He is now graduated home school high school. We are now down to one child left to home school. I am excited about this coming year and all the neat things that are to come for us learning.

Also here we have been busy purging yet more things from our lives and packing things up for a move. We have decided to get ourselves ready to move. We need to be out of this house we are renting before it gets cold. We can’t afford the gas to heat it and we are continuing to trust in the Father in what he has for us. We have been discussing getting some land and maybe moving to KY. We are still listening to the Father for his answers in all we have to do. One thing I do know is that He told me to get rid of a lot of things we don’t’ need and get packed and ready to go. For when it is time there will be no time to get it all packed up so I am working on this.

A week ago today my dh and I were on a bike ride on my new tandem bike. My husband turned a bit too sharp on the bike and my foot got caught between the pedal, and the bike. We ended up in the ER to make sure not broke my foot and well Praise the Father I only have a badly bruised and sprained foot and ankle. I have a splint on my foot and using crutches. (giggle) can you imagine a blind gimp roflol

We have also been busy with piano lessons, recitals, enjoying the summer when we can. We have gotten a lot of rain here and also dealing with mosquitos here. But other than that the weather has been great. Also been busy working on getting my business I am working on getting started going.

I am working hard to get it going but also know that it will not be started til after we move from this place but figure can work on it and get it ready to go and then it will be simple to get it all set up. Please keep me in prayer for I am going to be in the home schooling business. As in counseling, writing a book, making some things, helping homeschoolers with transcripts and diplomas. I have this burden in my heart for homeschoolers and am already seeing people coming to me for help and I am trying to do the best that I can and what the Father gives me to help them.

So, much more to share but need to get off here and get a few things done around the house. Many blessings to you and your family. And thank you again for reading my blogg.
