A Mother's Heart

How do we as mothers love our kids enough to sometimes have to let go as they grow older? When your kids are younger and they hurt you can put a bandaid on it, kiss it or hug away the pain. But when they get older that no longer works.

When they are little and they mess up, you can spank them, put them in time out or however you discipline and the changes get made. What do you do when they get older and this longer will work? How do you love them enough to say I love you, I am praying for you and then step back and leave it between them and God?

I have two issues with two of my children and this time Moma can't fix it, kiss it away or make it all better. I am trying to give it and them to God but it hurts so much and I am so scared. I am worried about some of the decisions they are making and the direction they are going but they are not little kids anymore.

I love my kids and I know God is bigger than anything and any problem so I guess all I or any parent can do is TRULY give them and their problems to God and pray that they too will give it to God. If you have made it this far then please pray for me to give them to God and for them to listen to Him. Also pray that I don't get so involved in their issues that I lose sight of my other children, grandchildren, hubby and most importantly my own relationship with God.

Outside my window... a nice sunny fall day

I am thinking...how much I need to get done and hoping I don't lose me in all the activity

I am thankful for... for my Lord, my church family and my family and friends who are like family

I am wearing... a denim skirt and green skirt and my running shoes

I am remembering...my loved ones who have gone on to heaven

I am going... to be running alot in the next few weeks

I am reading... my bible

I am hoping...to get Stephen caught up in schoolwork

On my mind... finances, hubby had to miss work again

From the learning rooms... catch up again

Noticing that... I need to take more time on my house and my home

Pondering these words... how many REAL friends I have

From the kitchen... honey chicken tenders and chips-feeding the grands-can you tell?Moms meeting tonight for me, DD and DIL

Around the house... major cleaning needed

God who never lets you down or stabs you in the back while smiling in your face

lime green tshirt and eeyore pj pants

I am remembering...
the preaching last night on eagles as compared to Christians

I am going...
to be very busy this week trying to get caught up on some things at home

I am reading...
my Bible

Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit

I am hoping (praying)...
for certain situations that involve my family and God's will

my attitude

that I will seek and follow God's will for my life

that my children will seek and follow God's will for their lives

On my mind...
a couple of situations in my family and God's leading and guidance in them

From the learning rooms...
continuing to catch up and planning a filed trip or two

Noticing that...
that I really need to do some deep cleaning in my physical and spiritual life

I can do all things through Christ who strengheneth me....Philippians 4:13

Outside my window... sunny and cool

I am thinking...about how to get caught up to where I need to be and family issues

I am thankful...for God always being there for us even when we mess up time and time again

I am wearing...ademin skirt and grey and black shirt

I am remembering...My Moma who got her wings a year ago this Thursday

I am creating...Christmas cards

I am going...to be on the road running errands all day

I am reading...my bible

I am hoping...that my daughter will suurender to seeking God's will for her life totally

On my mind...family, church and Christmas

From the learning rooms...perpectual catching up

I am noticing that...daylight is getting shorter and shorter,

From the kitchen...grilled chicken, potatoes and carrots

Around the house...I am behind already and it is only Monday

One of my favorite things...is setting down on the porch swing in the fall air with my hubby or kids

I am thinking... how long can it rain?

I am thankful for... God providing for us when the rain keeps hubby from working

I am remembering... my Moma-her birthday would have been tomorrow-first one withour her

I am going... to get my house clean and ready for fall

I am reading...my Bible and Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit

I am hoping... to get a project completed this week for my DIL for church

On my mind... how we will keep everythng took care of when hubby keeps missing work for rain

My Moma, she read her bible daily up until the day before she passed away,throughout all her illness, what a legacy for her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

AUTUMN LEAVES

Autumn comes and the leaves change colors

Red, orange, yellow so many hues

Autumn comes and the leaves fall

Get the rake, get the basket,

Get the kids, lets play,

Leaves are calling, lets jump in them.

Autumn leaves burning, apple and pumpkin pie,

The smells of autumn.

Autumn leaves and winter comes.

For Today, September 21, 2009...

Outside my windowsunny but with a chance of even more rain but praying not today please Lord, hubby needs to work

I am thinking...about how I need to get more into my bible and seek a verse for the trials we are facing right now

I am thankful...that God never leaves us even when we leave Him

I am wearing...pj's still but something I need to work on is getting up and gettting dressed each morning

I am remembering....how many people I have let down and how to fix it

I am creating...hmm, nothing as of yet.

I am going...to be cleaning today

I am reading...starting in the Psalms today and Matthew

I am hoping....to get my house in order

On my mind...The trials my family is facing.

From the learning rooms....still catching up but it is going

I am noticing that...fall is trying to appear

I am pondering these words.....not sure

From the kitchen...chicken for supper and the requested potatoes for hubby

Around the house...finish the laundry and cleaning.

One of my favorite things...is spending time with kids and grandkids and taking pictures

Outside my window... it is now dark as I am doing this at night

I am thinking... how tired I am

From the learning rooms... helping son work on multiplying fractions

I am thankful for... my hubby, we were married 23 years yesterday

From the kitchen... supper dishes that need done

I am wearing... denim skirt and orange shirt

I am reading... my bible which I need to do more faithfully and looking for a new book to start

I am hoping...to sleep good tonight

I am creating... my classroom for school

I am hearing... the tv

Around the house... lots that needs to be caught up as I am WAAAAAAYYYYYYY behind

One of my favorite things... is my kids and grandkids cause they love unconditionally

A few plans for the rest of the week... meetings at church,taking pictures of grandkids and my friends daughters

Happy 23rd Anniversary to my hubby {8/16/86}We are 23 years, 2 sons Jonathan and Stephen, 1 daughter Amanda, 1 daughter-in-law Jenny, 1 grandson Jonathan Raymond Love Jr and 1 grand-daughter Charity-Anne Jenee' Love later and that is way more than the 6 months people thought we would be married---God is so good! I love you Billy Raymond Love!

God's Frogs Homeschool 2009-Come join us in our new classroom on the first day!

I am participating in the Homeschool Open house over at The Homeschool Lounge by telling you about our first day and a little about our homeschool....

Today is August 10, 2009 and we are starting our 3rd year of homeschooling. Stephen is 14 and this has been a slow adjustment for us from public school to homeschooling. The first two years I also cared for my bedbound Moma and at times I wasn't sure I could and should homeschool Stephen but after much prayer and tears we are going to keep plugging along with Gods grace and strength.

All excited and ready for the first day of school....

First thing of the day is devotion and bible time...

And then it is on to paces and other assignments....

The curriculum that we mainly use is the bible and ACE paces, but this year we will also be adding unit studies, field trips, book reports and more...

This is our first year to be blessed with an actual classroom so here are a few pictures of that....

and our school name, mascot, verse etc is summed up in this picture....

We are God's Frogs homeschool because we are

F--fully

R--relying

O--on

G--God

this year and our verse is I Peter 5:7 which says "Casting all your care upon Him;for He careth for you."

and of course our Mascot is a blue frog(Stephen says we have to have a stuffed one for our classroom so if anybody finds one, let me know)....

I hope you enjoyed a day in our classroom and I hope you will come back many times this year as we share more of our school year.
