<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 13)</title>
<description>
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Need To Return The Gold
&amp;nbsp; Barbossa remembered every detail of every story of the cursed gold. He knew they had to have every piece. Now he knew what the knife was for. He remembered that there was one piece of the gold left, and it was in his cabin. He put it in his pocket and back they went to Isla de Muerta.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
&amp;nbsp; As soon as the longboat reached the cave, he stepped out and ran up to the chest. He picked up the knife, placed the gold in his hand and made a small cut with the knife. He dropped the gold into the chest. He still didn't feel any different.

&quot;Men, we have to get every single piece of that gold back, and put it into the chest!&quot; Barbossa said.
&amp;nbsp; But the thing he realized then was, Bootstrap Bill was no longer with them. They would need him in order to lift the curse. But Barbossa remembered him saying he had a child. Barbossa would find that child after he found all the gold.
&amp;nbsp; But he was going to have trouble with finding all the gold. The day they went to Isla de Muerta, they later stopped at a small island to buy supplies. While Bootstrap Bill&amp;nbsp;was there, he sent his piece of gold to his child, and Bootstrap Bill was the only person that knew. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

<title>A Treasure And a Curse (chapter 12)</title>
<description>
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Beginning To Realize
&amp;nbsp; Barbossa sat in his cabin, and took an apple from the bowl on the table. As he took a bite, he noticed something. The apple had no flavor. He took a bite out of another apple, still no flavor. He had forgotten about the curse, so he just thought the apples had gone bad. He took the bowl of apples out onto the deck and tossed them into the sea. He put his empty bowl back on the table. He just couldn't understand how all those apples had tasted perfect yesterday, but had no flavor today.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

&amp;nbsp; Meanwhile, out on deck, Pintel was getting a drink of water. But the water was somehow &quot;dry&quot; and had no flavor. He called to Ragetti and asked him to taste it and Ragetti said it felt &quot;dry&quot; and had no flavor to him either.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
&amp;nbsp; That night, Frizz stood at the wheel while Barbossa was in his cabin. At first it was cloudy, then moonlight began to show through. As moonlight fell across Frizz's arm, he screamed. For instead of seeing what his arm looked like that morning, he was looking at bone! Everyone ran up on deck to see what was wrong, then they saw it. They were all walking skeletons.
&quot;Captain! Captain!&quot; Frizz said.
&amp;nbsp; Barbossa came running. He stopped suddenly when he saw that his crew were all skeletons, then he looked at his hand. What he once saw as skin was now bone. Now he realized, there was a curse. The reason the apples and water had no flavor was because of the curse. Then he realized, he'd made a mistake. Their troubles had just begun.

<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 11)</title>
<description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; What They did To Bootstrap Bill
&amp;nbsp; Barbossa sat in what was now his cabin, the Captain's Cabin. He reached to take a juicy, green apple from the bowl on the table. He leaned back in his chair and put his feet on the table. His plans had all turned out perfect. He was about to take a bite out of the apple when he heard yelling out on the deck. Annoyed, he walked out to see what was wrong. By what he could tell, there had been some sort of argument between Bootstrap Bill and a few other crewmembers, and in the end, Bootstrap Bill had a black eye, and another crewmember&amp;nbsp;had a swollen lip.
&quot;What's the problem here?&quot; Barbossa said.
&quot;Bootstrap here, apparently doesn't think you make good decisions as Captain.&quot; Frizz said.
&quot;Is this true?&quot;
&quot; I just said that it was wrong to leave Jack on that island.&quot; Bootstrap Bill said.
&amp;nbsp; After quite a bit of arguing, Barbossa made his decision. He knew&amp;nbsp;that Turner&amp;nbsp;was mad, and some of the crew were beginning to see his point and Barbossa feared they would attempt to do to him, what he did to Jack.
&quot;Bring Mister Turner over here and strap him to this cannon.&quot; Barbossa said.
&quot;Aye, Captain.&quot; Frizz said.

&amp;nbsp; It took him and three others to fight Bootstrap Bill, but eventually they were able to carry him over to the cannon. When they had strapped him to it, Barbossa walked over.
&quot;Hope you enjoyed the trip, Mister Turner.&quot; Barbossa said, as he and Frizz pushed the cannon off into the sea.
&amp;nbsp; They all stood watching as he quickly began sinking deeper into the sea. None wanted to share his punishment, so they all kept quiet.

<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 10)</title>
<description>Isla de Muerta
&amp;nbsp; Meanwhile, aboard the Black Pearl, Barbossa proudly took his place as captain. He was going to finish this journey and find the treasure, he didn't believe in the curse, so why should he be afraid? A few days later, they had found the Isla de Muerta , and they knew that somewhere inside was the treasure.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
&amp;nbsp; Barbossa stepped out of the longboat and what was now his crew stepped out behind him. He started walking through a long tunnel and turned around when Pintel screamed.
&quot;What're ye screamin' about?&quot; he said, annoyed.
&quot;I almost stepped on a huge crab. See! There it goes!&quot; Pintel replied.
&amp;nbsp; Barbossa rolled his eyes. He was beginning to wonder if he should have left him with Jack. Then he stopped. In front of him, there was treasure everywhere. Gold, silver, pearls, and huge chests filled with valuable cloths, and even more gold. The crew ran around looking at it all. Barbossa walked around watching them all and picked up a hat, it was dark blue with blue ostrich feathers. What kind of pirate captain didn't have a hat? He put it on and looked in a mirror close by. Now he looked like a captain. As he continued walking he saw something in the center of the cave. He remembered the tale of the cursed treasure inside the stone chest, the one Jack had talked about. He moved the lid away and looked inside. There was gold and a stone knife. Wonder what the knife's for, he thought. By now, the rest of the crew were standing around the chest too. Barbossa picked up a piece of the gold, it didn't look cursed to him. He put it in his pocket.
&quot;Frizz, go get a sack from one of the longboats.&quot;

&quot;Aye, Captain.&quot;
&quot;What about the curse?&quot; Ragetti asked.
&quot;I don't believe in it. If you do, then don't take any of the gold.&quot; Barbossa replied.
&quot;Hmmm, looks alright to me.&quot; Pintel said, picking up a piece and putting it in his pocket.
&amp;nbsp; By now, almost all the crew had a piece, and Frizz and Barbossa were putting the rest in a sack. Almost all the rest of the&amp;nbsp; pieces of the gold&amp;nbsp;were in the sack, except for what was in their pockets. Barbossa held a piece out to the one person who hadn't yet taken a piece, Bootstrap Bill, who was still looking at the gold.
&quot;Mister Turner, we don't have all day, so if ye could make up your mind, it would be nice for the rest of us.&quot; Barbossa said.
&amp;nbsp; Bootstrap knew what he really meant was, &quot;Hurry up or we'll leave you on that island.&quot;, so he put it in his pocket. They all started out to the longboats and returned to the Pearl. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 9)</title>
<description>
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Jack's Nightmare
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Jack woke himself up screaming. What caused that nightmare he didn't know, but it sure was awful. Then he looked around. Apparently, it wasn't just a nightmare, it was reality.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; He remembered what had happened that day. Everything was going fine. Then Barbossa wanted to know the location of the treasure. He had said, &quot;Captain, you believe everything's an equal share, location of the treasure included?&quot; . Unfortunately, Jack said yes and gave Barbossa the location of the treasure. That's when it went wrong. That night while Jack was in his cabin, he heard a knock. It was Frizz. He said there'd been trouble on the deck with some crew members and they needed the captain to solve it. As he walked out, two strong pirates had grabbed Jack, tied his hands, and took him to Barbossa. Barbossa grinned and looked at Jack. &quot;See that island right over there? Well, instead of &amp;lsquo;Captain&amp;lsquo;, now you'll be &amp;lsquo;Governor&amp;lsquo;.&quot; He laughed and watched as the two pirates put Jack in a longboat and then he climbed in with them as they took Jack to the island. When they stepped ashore, they threw Jack onto the sand. Barbossa handed him his sword, compass and a pistol, and seeing that Jack's hat had fallen off in the longboat, he laid it next to him as well. Jack watched as they returned to the Black Pearl, and was heartbroken when he had to watch it sail away, since he was no longer its captain.

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; That night while Jack was in his cabin, Barbossa was talking over his plans with another pirate, who was nicknamed &quot;Frizz&quot; because of his hair.
&quot;I say we lock Jack up somewhere.&quot; Frizz said.
&quot;Not so&amp;nbsp;loud! No, no ,no. You're not seein' me point. We get rid of him.&quot; Barbossa whispered, looking around to&amp;nbsp;make sure nobody was listening.
&quot;Oh, I know just what we can do too.&quot; Frizz replied, seeing Barbossa's point.
&quot;Tomorrow?&quot; Barbossa asked.
&quot;Tomorrow.&quot; Frizz confirmed.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Barbossa grinned. They discussed the details and agreed on the plan.

<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 7)</title>
<description>
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And&amp;nbsp;A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Second Day At Sea
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; On their second morning at sea, everyone was getting along better, or at least most of everyone. Ragetti still feared the tall pirate who threatened to nail his eye in place. Barbossa was plotting something, but Jack couldn't quite guess what. Bootstrap Bill was hard at work and Pintel had stopped pouting over his loss though he still firmly believed it was Crookedfinger's right thumb, not left finger. The day was starting out wonderfully.
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Jack knew they were getting close, only a few days left until they would arrive. He felt great. He stood at the wheel of the ship, looking happy. He was wearing his dark blue coat, his hat, his red and white sash, and of course he had his red bandanna decorated with a strand of beads, and more beads and braids in his dark brown hair. He also was equipped with his sword and compass, and of course a pistol.
The second day out at sea was probably the easiest, for everyone, especially Jack.

<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 6)</title>
<description>
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Barbossa's Plans
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Barbossa stood at the wheel, going in whatever direction Jack said. Barbossa would much rather have switched places with Jack. This brought Barbossa to remember his dream of being a captain. He wondered how many members of the crew would rather have him as captain than Jack. Pintel and Ragetti would probably pick either one, Bootstrap Bill seemed more loyal to Jack than Barbossa, and the rest, well, either way, they seemed loyal enough to obey their captain, whoever it may be. Barbossa grinned just thinking about being captain. He thought about his plan, and while he did, he took a bite out of a juicy green apple, his favorite fruit.

<title>A Treasure And A Curse(chapter 5)</title>
<description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Eye See You
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Pintel and Ragetti were chasing Ragetti's wooden eye, which was always falling out and rolling away, and the fact that it was wooden didn't make it the least bit comfortable. Moving past pirates carrying crates and rolling barrels, and hoping nobody would throw it into the sea as a cruel joke,&amp;nbsp;Ragetti crawled along the deck helplessly. A tall, mean-looking pirate stopped it with his foot and looked at Ragetti.
&quot;I could fix this for ye, I'll just need a hammer and a nail.&quot; he said.
&quot;No, thank you sir. I'm fine with it falling out and rolling around like that.&quot; Ragetti replied, a little frightened by the threat, and picked up his eye and put it back in place.
&quot;Ya know, when we find the treasure, you could by a glass eye, that'll fit.&quot; Pintel said, trying to cheer up his friend.
&quot;That would be nice. This one splinters terribly.&quot; Ragetti said, rubbing his eye.
&quot;Rubbing it doesn't help any. It just makes it worse.&quot; Pintel said.
&quot;I know.&quot; Ragetti replied.

<title>A Treasure And A Curse (chapter 4)</title>
<description>&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp; A Treasure And A Curse &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The Captain's Own Troubles &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Something was definitely not right. Jack knew it. By now he should have seen an island, but there had been nothing. He glanced at his compass, but the needle still pointed in the same direction. The thought of his compass being broken upset him, but he knew it had to work. It just had to. Otherwise, he knew what would happen. He'd cause them all to die of thirst and hunger, or worse (at least Jack thought so), the crew would make someone else captain. He wouldn't let that happen. He'd gone through too much trouble to get the Black Pearl, and nobody was going to take it from him. After telling Barbossa what direction to go in, Jack went to his cabin. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Jack looked at all the maps he had of the Caribbean, and then he looked at his compass. He barely had any idea where they were other than miles from land, Tortuga being the nearest that he knew of. Then he remembered that he was on the lookout for land, so he ran back out onto the deck. He looked out to sea and he saw something through his spyglass. Could it be? Was it? It was! Land! Jack gave the orders to go to the island to get supplies. He watched as most of the crew went to get supplies. Then he sighed. &quot;I knew we weren't lost.&quot; he said. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ &amp;copy; 2007 ~ JCS</description>
