My SaTuRdAy

I stayed up late last night watching Supernatural season 2 and didn't wake up the next morning until 11! I was so sleepy, the first thing I did as soon as I got out of bed, was make myself a cup of sweet cuppacino coffee. I don't know how to spell that. Anyway, then I finished off season 2 then had a shower, got dressed and went to town.
While I was in town, I visited Erin at work to get her some change, give her a quick bathroom break and buy her something to eat. She had already bought something to eat so she was ok on the food. I jumped on the net for a quick five minutes to up-date on facebook and left. Dropped in on IGA to buy a bag of Red Rock Delli sweet chilli and sour cream chips plus a bottle of sasperella. Again, I don't know how to spell it. Then I went back home.
I didn't do very much when I came back home. I finished the last episode of supernatural when Erin came home from work and gave me the third season so I walked back up town to give Karina the second season, bought an iced coffee and went back home.
Now it is 11:31 at night, I'm not sleepy just yet but will go into my room and read until I can't keep my eyes open any longer. Oh and just before I watched 4 more episodes of supernatural season 3!
Goodnight and sweet dreams. Or. Goodmorning/day, enjoy yourself. =D

This and That

I am really sorry I haven't been on HSB for a while. I've been caught up in facebook. It's great, I love it and it's so addictive. What to post about....?
I recently went and saw Terminator Salvation. Ok, now most all people say that it's going to be crap cuz Arnie isn't in it. This is a big fat lie. They didn't need Arnie in it. Different story line. Of course, our Auzzie actor Sam Worthing had the best roll, He was great. Loved him.
I also got a chance to do some shopping. I've been getting extra shifts, which leads to more money, so of course I had to go shopping. I bought a new pair of jeans, 3 tops, 2 movies, Signs and The Sixth Sence, and the black Eyed peas latest album. And just today I got mum to order me 2 books from Koorong. Can't wait.
The weather has changed to rain, again. It's been raining so much latley that the speacial weather people have predicted more floods for next month! Geese, can we please have a break frm the rain Lord? We really don't need more rain. Lol. Don't get me wrong, I love the rain. I just get tired of it after a while.
So many things are happening next month. There's Grandma's 93rd birthday, Uncle Vian's coming down for his yearly visit and Rob's parents are coming down to. Wow, I can't wait. It's going to be an exciting month and I can't wait!
It's 11:12pm and I really should go to bed now. I'm no whre near tired, but mum gets angry when I don't wake up in the morning. I've been waking up at 9:30 every morning.

wind, rain and flooding

I can honestly say that I am so glad the rain has stopped. I love the rain, but when it leads to flooding, you just want it to stop. Well, today, it has stopped and I am so very glad. Last thursday, all the Richmond River schools were closed because of flooding danger. And it was very hard for me and Erin at work. Our other worker, Karina, lives just outside of Woodburn and was flooded in so she couldn't make it to work. Laura and Jason were stuck up in Queensland so they couldn't make it down to take over. So it was just me and Erin running the shop until the rain stopped and the flodding went down. It's still flodding in Lismore. School's back, it's a really nice day today and the Video shop is quiet. So I am posting.
I finally cried on a movie! Seven Pounds. It's sooo sad. I tried my hardest not to burst out sobbing. The tears kept coming, my eyes were red and I went through so many tissues. At the end of the movie, I was still crying. At the end of the credits I was still crying.
Sorry I haven't gotten round to commenting you all. I seriously have been busy with school and work. How have you all been? I'll eventually get round to comenting you.

Something Funny-from the book The Bells! The Bells! by Mark Stibbe

A man walking along a California beach was deep in prayer. All of a sudden, he said outloud, 'Lord, grant me one wish!' The sky clouded above his head and in a booming voice , the Lord said, 'Because you have tried to be faithful to me in all ways, I will grant you 1 wish.' The man said, 'Build a bridge to Hawaii so I can drive over anytime I want.' The Lord said, 'Your request is very materialistic. Think of the enormous challenges for that kind of undertaking. The supporst required to reach the bottom of the Pacific! The concrete and steel it would take! I can do it, but it is hard for me to justify your desire for wordldy things. Take a little more time and think of another wish, a wish you think would honor and glorify me.' The man thought about it for a long time. Finally he said, 'Lord, I wish that I could understand women. I want to know how they feel inside, what they are thinking when they give the silent treatment, why they cry, what they mean when they say 'nothing', and how I can make women truly happy.' The Lord replied, 'You want two lanes or four lanes on that bridge?'
Bill has always been a prankster. As each of his friends got married, Bill made sure some type of practical joke was played upon them. Now ready to be married himself, he was dreading the payback he knew was coming. Surprisingly, the ceremony went off without a hitch. No one stood up during the pause to offer a reason 'why this couple should not be married.' His recepyion wasn't disrupted by streakers or strippers, and the car that the couple were to take on their honeymoon was in perfect working order. When the couple arrived at their hotel and entered the room, Bill even checked for cornflake in the bed (a gag he had always loved). Nothing, it seemed, was amiss. Satisfied that they had come away unscathed, the couple fell into bed. upon waking, the couple were ravenous, so Bill called down to Room Service and said, 'I'd like to orderbreakfast for two.' At that moment, a soft voice from under the bed said, 'Make that five.'
CHRISTIAN BOYS' CHAT-UP LINES
1. 'Nice bible.'
2. 'Is this pew taken?'
3. I just don't feel called to celibacy.'
4. 'For you I would slay two Goliaths.'
5. 'I would go through more than the book of Job for you.'
6. 'Shall we tithe?'
7. 'At points in my life I have been refered to as Samson.'
8. 'The bible says, "Give drink to those who are thristy, and feed the hungry." So how about dinner?'
9. I didn't believe in predestination until tonight.'
10. 'I believe one of my ribs belong to you.'
A woman accompanied by her husband to the doctor's office. After his check-up, the doctor called his wife into his office alone. He said, 'Your husband is suffering from a very serious disease, combined with horrible stress. If you don't do the following, your husband can die. Each morning, fix him a healthy breakfast. Be pleasant and make sure he is in a good mood. For lunch, fix him a nutritious meal. For dinner, prepare him an especially nice meal for him. Don't burden him with chores. Don't discuss your stress; this will probably make him feel worse. If you can do this for at least ten months to a year, I think your husband will regain his health completley.' On the way home, the husband asked his wife, 'What did the doctor say to you?' The wife turned to look at her husband. 'Your going to die.'
The speaker at a women's club was lecturing on marriage and asked the audience how many of them wanted to 'mother' their husbands. One member in the back row raised her hand. 'You want to mother your husband?' the speaker asked. 'Mother?' the woman echoed. 'I thought you said smother!'
I sure did enjoy laughing. There's plenty more where that came from. The fabulous book is called The Bells! The Bells! And it is written by Mark Stibbe. It's a great book.

Nothing Much

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I just can't find the time to post all the time like I used to. I haven't really been busy. I just recently joined up with facebook. It's great! I love it. I've been on facebook more than HSB, I'm sorry to admit. If any of you have facebook, be sure to add me. Or just let me know or something. Anyway. I'm not as into HSB as I was. I only have HSB so I can keep in contact with my friends. Isn't that's what HSB is about?
Last weekend Erin and I went to a young womens conference in Ballina called FREE. It was GREAT! It really teaches you a lot. The main they teach us girls is to love our body inside and out. To love the creator of our body. To be strong in ourselves as well as the Lord Jesus Christ. It was amazing. One of the ladies who spoke yo us wrote a book called princess. I haven't read it yet but she told us it was basically about us girls and what God can do to help and the amazing life we can live if we believe and trust in him. I learned alot while at FREE and am so thankful. I'm learning to become stronger in myself and in God to.
I'm behind on keeping up with all my friends so I'll try and comment you all SOON. I have to go to Grandma's for afternoon tea. Byee!

BOOKS!!!

I am reading the fourth book in a series at the moment. Just started it. Chapter 3. The first book is Daughter of the Forest. Second is Son of the Shadows. Third is Child of the Prophecy. And the fourth book, the last book, is Heir to Sevenwaters. The author is amazing. She just grabs your attention and holds it right to the very end of the book, leaving you wanting for more. Those books I mentoined was the Sevenwaters books. She's written four other's I know of. Two of them are Wildwood Dancing and Cebele's Secret. I have the first one, read the second one and want to buy it. The other two are Wolfskin and Foxmask. I was looking them up online and the cover's for Wolfskin and Foxmask look awsome. That's what captured my attention first, was the front cover picture. Juliet Marillier is the amazing author. I love her. All her books are Historical Fantasy. Love them! She is currently writting a book about Australian Historical Fantasy. Can't wait. Anyway, she's really good.

NEW EMPIRE ROCKS!!!

For youth group on Friday night we went to see Cadice Cassagranda. She's a newbie singer, realesing her first album or latest album. I have no clue who she is or that she even exsisted until Friday night. We were all really excited to see her sing and were bouncing out of our seats from excitement. But she turned out to be really boring! She's not my type of singer. Gwyn sidled up to me and said really quietly in my ear, that she was just so boring. I nodded my agreement and sat down at the table and put up with her singing for the rest of the night.
Before that, a new Austrailian band was on, singing. They were so AWSOME!!! I loved them. And they are Cchristians to!!! What I idn't know was that they were called New Empire. That week, I had read about them in the Koorong magazine and thought I'd give them a go. So I ordered their album. And friday night, I was wondering who this awsome band was. Half way through, they said their band name was New Empire! I instantly remembered that CD I had bought and I made the connection instantly. I was so excited and they were so good. I bought a poster and sat down at the table. Jordan comes up to me and tells me that they were signing poasters. I raced out onto the dancefloor and told Gwyn. Posters in hand, smiles on our faces, we got a posters signed. Now, it's up in my room, where all can see. I went home that night really happy. Lol.

YC09! (Youth Convention)

Like many of the people who attended YC09 thought YC08 sounded better. YC09 just doesn't sound better than YC08. Qwyn never let that thought be forgotten. Before it first started she was saying how YC09 will never be like YC08. Lol.
Anyway, once a year Evans Head holds a Youth Convention down at the school. It's so much fun! It's been going on for 6 years now. Including this year. So I attended the 5th and 6th year of YC. (Youth Convention) I kind of attended it this year. I went to the Friday night part of YC and Saturday night. But I skipped Saturday and all of Sunday. Next year will be my last time for YC so I'm definatly going to attend it and stay the weekend at the school.
Friday night was fun. We just talked and caught up with friends and made new friends. We talked right up to dinner. All through dinner we talked. And we didn't stop talking until we were called into the Hall for the Intro to begin. The hosts are so halarius! They can make you cry from laughing so hard. Anyway, so they told was what was going to happen. We had games, sang songs and Sam Chan gave us a speech. He's really funny. He's Asian and really small. He had to stand on a box to give us his speech. And his talks aren't the boring kind! They're the funny, entertaining kinds of talks.
I skipped most of Saturday but made it for another talk from Sam Chan and the dance! This years theme was Time Warp. You had to dress in the past or what you think the future is going to look like. As usual I just went as me. The dance was so fun! Cool music, amazing light work and they even had games. 1 game was we were given a sqaure piece of paper with a clock on it. We had to go around a book apointments with people we don't know. When we were finished, the hosts would call out a number. Like 3 o'clock! Then we'd have to walk around until we found our 3 o'clock people. It was really fun. i loved it.
Sadly it had to end. I didn't go to the Sunday one. But I did manage to grab Casey's mobile number so we could stay in contact through out the year until we meet up next year. We both decided to go next year cuz it's our last year. We'll be in year 12. Our last year. And we both swore and promised that we were going to dance like crazy at the dance next year and have a load of fun. And I'll be staying at the school too. FUN!!!!

Youth Group

Youth group was so fun! For youth group we went on ver to Chinamens Beach to play the Glow Stick Challenge. It was a game we never played before and it was so fun! This is how you play it. There are 2 teams. 1 team is gaurding a blue gem and the other is gaurding a yellow gem. All the players had to wear 2 glow stick bracelets. 1 team had to wear theirs on their left, the other on the right. I was chosen on the right side. And the goal of he game was to steal our gem that the other team was protecting. The right team had to try and steal the left teams bracelets while the left team did the same for the right. I was one of the girls protecting our gem. We had 2 guys and 2 girls protecting our gem cuz the guys were not aloud to touch the girls. The leaders aloud tackling in the game. And the guys were not aloud to touch the girls so I was one of the girls who had to tackle other girls to keep the gem safe. Oh and girls were aloud to tackle guys to but I had no intention of tackling any guy. Lol. The right team won. Oh and there was this guys Kane/Kain, who made up a chant for our team. It went like this, "YOU MAY HAVE THE BOTTLES!!!! BUT WE HAVE THE POTTLES!!!!" My sister was the on the same team as me and our last name is Pottle. It was so embarrasing. Lol. They chanted that through out the whole game and well after. Kane/Kain also said that next time he saw me in town he was going to shout out, "YOU MAY HAVE THE BOTTLE!!!! BUT LOOK!!!! THERES MELISSA POTTLE!!!!" I was like, shame. lol. Thank God he hasn't seen me down town yet. Anyway, youth group was so much fun! I loved it. I always love it.
