gasp Could it be? Am I back?? For real???

Yes, I am back. I just haven't gotten around to putting up a blog in forever. I had a really bad case of the 'I'll do it tomorrow's. You know the feeling?

Anyway, I had two really cool things happen today! First, my church held a Youth Recruitment dinner for Vacation Bible School. We really need a lot more help with it, so I hope the other Youth in the church will step up. So far, we have 16 kids! And that's only with one day of registration. The dinner was Sloppy Joe's and Potato Chips with Country Time Pink Lemonade. During the meeting after the dinner, Mrs. Beth D. gave everyone a test on the Arctic to take. Each person got a Winterfresh Lifesaver for each correct answer. The person with the most Lifesavers at the end of the test would get . . . A KING-SIZED MILKY WAY BAR! The person who got the most had 18 Lifesavers out of a possible 25! Guess who the lucky person was? It was ME! Happy Dance time!

Okay, enough Happy Dance for now. The second really cool thing? I got an early birthday present from my friend Nikk. He gave me three katanas! (katanas are Japanese swords, for anyone who didn't know that.)They are really sharp, and there's a short one, a longer one, and a really long one. The shortest one is about the length of my lower arm, the next biggest one is about the length from my knee to my toe if my foot is pointed, and the biggest one is about the length from the floor to the side of my waist. The reason he gave them to me is I have a theme to my room. Actually, I kinda have three or four themes that don't really match. The three themes are: Tar Heels (gotta love the 'Heels!), Lego/Bionicle, and Japanese. I have said multiple times to my mom that one thing I needed to really have a Japanese theme was a set of katanas. Even just one katana would be enough. I guess Nikk overheard one day. My dad is probably gonna kill/maim him once he finds out, though.

By the way, how do you guys like the new look of my blog? Isn't it awsome? Yu Yu Hakusho is my all-time favorite anime. More specifically, Hiei is my favorite anime character of all time. Here's a cool picture of him:

I have finally gotten the hang of putting pictures in my blogs. Speaking of which, remember the bad hair day picture I had in an earlier blog? I fixed that . . . Sorry about the stupid X in the box. I hate those things.

Well, I guess that's enough for this entry. My sister SHOULD have her scanner up soon because Nikk is going to fix it for her. That means that my comic, "Pickles and Ketchup (With Fur)" will be coming soon to a computer near you! YaY! I can't wait.

Have you ever had a bad hair day? Well, you won't feel as bad after seeing this:

Am I right? By the way, that's not my cat. It's a picture that I got in an email. My cat looks a lot different. I don't have a picture on my computer yet, but I'll put one up next time. Maybe.

Well, since the last time I got on, I was Tagged by my friend, Endoftheroad! The rules to being tagged are as follows:

"The first player of this game starts with the topic five weird habits of yourself and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals."

These are my weird habits:

1. I save all the wrapping paper that is not torn to shreds at every party I go to. I use it to wrap small gifts that I make for other people. I save tissue paper, too.

2. I clip my (huge) toenails on my Mom's bed just because it aggravates her. I clean them off afterwards, though. (The ones that I can find.^__^)

3. I go into "the thinker" pose when I'm in deep thought. You know, like that statue that somebody -I forget who- made? I also bite my bottom lip when I'm in deep thought.

4. I put Hot Salt on everything I eat. Not Hot Sauce, but Hot Salt. Except eggs. I put Catsup on them.

5. I have to have my pillow a certain way. It is a Yu-Gi-Oh pillow that I got last year, and it has one character's head on one side, with two of the creatures from the game on the other side. I have to have it character-side up. I don't know why.

Okay, that's another look into the strange, yet interesting life of me! ^__^ I have tagged these people:

I probably should have written about this already, but we've been busy at my house lately. You remember my older sister Lyn, my brother-in-law Lee, and my three nephews? Well, they moved out a few weeks ago. They moved down the street into a double apartment. Jon, the oldest one, spends the night on Saturdays and goes with us to church on Sundays.

New skills and a song

I recently taught myself some basic HTML (Hyper-Text Markup Language). I got it off of a virtual pet site that had a guide to HTML. I learned how to change the font color, make the text bold, make it italicized, and underline it. I also learned how to change the size. I learned how to put a picture onto a webpage, too, but it won't seem to work on this website.

My dad has been bugging me for weeks to write a song for him to play on the guitar. I'm not really much of a songwriter, but I wrote a song earlier this morning. It just popped into my head and wouldn't go away until I wrote it. My dad likes it so much that he can't wait to find the "tune" he can play on the guitar to go with it. Then, he wants the church to start playing it as morning worship when it applies to the sermon. Here it is:

Biology class and fun Geometry . . .

I have had a pretty busy day today. I forgot to set my alarm clock last night, so I slept late this morning (I thought that my parents were trying to wake me up early for some odd reason . . . oops.). So I've been tired all day. For some reason, whenever I sleep late, I'm sleepy the whole day.

We also had Biology class today, so my mom, my sister, and I went into "clean-up" mode. See, one Tuesday out of every month, my family hosts a Homeschool Biology class. Three of the students (Christopher, Vicky, and Missy(my sister)) have the same curriculum, while Douglas and I have different ones. Mr. Steve, Vicky's dad, comes over to our house to do experiments from Christopher, Vicky, and Missy's curriculum, but Douglas and I join in even though we don't have that curriculum. It's actually pretty fun for me, but everyone else thinks it's boring. Today, though, we got to look at bacteria through a microscope, so the two guys were a little bit interested. We also went outside and found two mushrooms and looked at those, too.

While we were having Biology class, the moms went to Costco. We finished the class before they got back, so I invited everyone upstairs to play video games. Vicky asked to get on my computer to check her email, so I let her get on. She stayed on the whole time, because she only gets a certain time each week to get on the computer at her house (Her family's usually busy). When the moms got back, they made all the kids carry in groceries. Then everyone except Vicky and her parents went home. Vicky stayed about a half-hour longer, then she went home.

Before Biology, I had to do Geometry. Wait, that made it sound like I didn't enjoy it. I actually enjoyed the first lesson of my new Geometry book (I just got it yesterday).

Out of the mouths of babes . . .

My nephews are so cute sometimes! The oldest, Jon, was sleepy this evening. He made me and TJ (the middle nephew) get out of the room we were in so that he could pray. I left the door open a crack (I learned not to close a door with them inside) and listened to him. He is six right now, his birthday was the 3rd. He actually prayed pretty good for a kid his age. It surprised me, since I didn't know that he even knew how to pray. He prayed that God and Jesus would help him be good, because he had been bad since he was "6 and 5 and 4 and 3-2-1 and zero." He also prayed that his Mama and Daddy would be good so that God and Jesus wouldn't have to spank them. It was so cute!

TJ, on the other hand, is a wonderful storyteller! Not in the bad way, telling lies, but in the good way. He told me a story that was a half-hour long today while I was babysitting. It was about a witch (who was a boy), a "big, bad wolf," and a man who kept going into the "forest" (with special emphasis on the "forest" part). I actually understood most of it. I just hope that when he gets older, he keeps that imagination of his so that he can tell good stories and (hopefully) write them down. But, right now he is only three, so I have to write them down. I wonder where I can find a tape recorder so I can hear the stories over and over again . . . Oh well.

My first weblog -- WOOT!

I've never really done a weblog before . . . My mom got me into this.

Well, I guess I should tell you now that I love putting smileys into whatever I can. My letters to anyone are dotted with hand-drawn smileys, while my emails contain smileys that move.

My mom and I are the only ones in our family that have blogs at the moment. Mom's screenname is gramma2them. She has nice, long, interesting blogs.

I have nine people living in my house. Three different generations in the same family. There's my mom, my dad, my older sister Lynda (nicknamed Lyn), my younger sister Melissa (nicknamed Missy), my brother-in-law Lee (Lyn's husband), my oldest nephew Jonathan (nicknamed Jon or Jon-Jon), my middle nephew TJ (it's a nickname, his real name is spelled really weird and I don't remember how to spell it), and my youngest nephew Cameron (nicknamed Cammie). There's also an inside cat named Isis (like the egyptian goddess), an outside cat named Fluffer-Nutter-Butter (we call him Fluffy; I named him), and an outside dog named Lucky. And I don't count the fish.

I am completely obsessed with Final Fantasy X right now, to the point that whenever I turn it on Missy says "Stop playing that game!" I play it anyway. I don't want to stop playing it until I beat it. It's like how she gets whenever we get a new game. she plays every day until she beats it. She beat Jak III a week or two after we got it. She started a new game on it and is still playing it.

I like anime and manga. My answer to what they are is kind of long. Manga is like an illustrated novel. Instead of using words to describe emotions, battles, etc. they are just drawn. Some mangas, if they are popular enough, and if the writer has enough money, get turned into an anime. An anime is like a television series, but everything is drawn instead of acted out. Both anime and manga originated in Japan, which is where I want to go when I get older. I don't want to go there to live, but I do want to visit Japan. I have read just about everything I can find about Japan, just ask my mom.
