<title>Bowling Anyone???</title>
<description>Hello!
Happy Summer to All!
A dear friend passed on this and the following 2 posts to me, to share with all of you.&amp;nbsp;

Here in South Carolina its been hot, hot, hot, and still more to come (August is a calling!).&amp;nbsp; So, if movies aren't your thing, how about bowling?&amp;nbsp; Recently, we took a group of teens bowling and noticed one really important thing - NO SMOKING.&amp;nbsp; That's right, most states have outlawed smoking in almost every public place and the smoke was gone from our local bowling alley.&amp;nbsp; And, most of them have great deals on day time bowling for the kids and adults.&amp;nbsp; Enjoy.

Summer Bowling: Here's the&amp;nbsp;main link&amp;nbsp;where you can select the&amp;nbsp;state and the alley that is closest to you: http://www.kidsbowlfree.com/all_centers.php

<title>How About Going to a Regular Movie Theatre This Summer?</title>
<description>Has it been hot where you live?&amp;nbsp; Here in South Carolina its been down right steamy.&amp;nbsp; We haven't been home much this summer, so far, but now that we're staying put, we're in the mood for some fun movie time.&amp;nbsp; There are the usual action and romance stuff, but this summer seems to be full of wonderful animation and kid friendly family movies.&amp;nbsp;

Looking for a show near you?&amp;nbsp; Here's some site to help you find out what's playing near your home town.&amp;nbsp; Enjoy.

Summer Movies: Here's the&amp;nbsp;main link where you can select the state you live in: http://www.regmovies.com/nowshowing/familyfilmfestivalschedule.aspx

<title>How About Going to a Drive-In Movie This Summer?</title>
<description>I remember piling into someones car, loads of families did, bringing our coolers, picnic dinners, chairs and blankets (even P.J.'s) to all head to the local Drive-In Movie Theater.&amp;nbsp; Although back then a car load was $5.00, today all but a few are lost to development.&amp;nbsp;

But, here's a link to find some of the few remaining ones.&amp;nbsp; Enjoy!

                        Since I was a child in the 1960s, I just can't help but love space! When I was growing up, traveling to the moon was all the rage, and I still love all things moon-related to this day. So this week I am passing along websites that will share my love for all things space with you! I found a space lapbook that I think you will love. I also included a Brain Pop video about Mars and a link to the Schoolhouse Rock's video, Interplanet Janet. If you or your kids are missing the days when Pluto was a planet, you can join the Pluto Fan Club! These are just a few of the fun freebies you will find this week at the link below.

<title>Hello from Freebie Friday at TOS</title>
<description>

There are many free resources on the Internet to help with homemaking. I posted about a few of those on the Econobusters blog. I thought I would share them with you. This week I posted about a free E-Book that I found with lessons to teach our kids about homemaking. I think this wonderful resource would make a great addition as a homeschool home-ec course or a good summer class.

Even though it is summer, you can still get some spring cleaning done. Here is a great resource that I found recently! It is a free E-Book on spring cleaning. If you need some help in the kitchen area, here is a free E-Book I shared about having a prepared pantry. With all of these freebies, you may need some ideas on how to store them on the computer, so here is my post on how to store E-Books.

Homeschool Freebies by Jamin

We stay pretty busy in the summer. But sometimes there are days when my kids need something new and interesting to do while the temperature soars outside. One fun thing to do is make our own paper toys!

There is an unlimited supply of free printable toys online. Below are a
few I know my kids would enjoy. I hope yours enjoy them too.

Handcraftedfantastictoys.com has an adorable dancing monkey and some fun paper dolls.

The toymaker.com has some awesome paper mice that use marbles to make mouse racers!

Do you have a hat lover? This site is loaded with printable paper hats you can assemble and wear!

How about a fractal fidgit?

You can make your own dodecahedron calendar with the free printables at this site!

This site has a blank jigsaw puzzle you can decorate, cut, and send to a friend!

And one of my favorite sites, Janbrett.com has directions on how to make a milk carton armadillo!

And for the preschoolers in your life, how about some paper sandwiches? Be sure to print out the free placemat too!

If your preschooler enjoyed the paper sandwiches, be sure to check out the barn play set and kitty play set from the same website.

If you want to search through more great paper toys, here are two sites that are loaded with them! Free Paper Toys and Wonder Time.

Happy homeschooling!
