But my Dad doesn't do hunting. We got up realy early in the morning. Austin went with our friend to the blind & I went with my Uncle Brian to the tree-stand. It was hard to find the tree-stand besause it was still dark outside & the tree stand was black. That made it even harder. Anyway, after being in the stand for about 15 min. we saw someone shining a light in the woods. We were on private property so whoever was was trespasing. They also scared a fox our way. When the sun had already been up for about an hour a doe came walking towards the water hole. Camp was on our back left & the water hole was right in between us & camp. The deer was to. When I saw it I thought ," Theres my shot! " but I couldn't shot because the backround was camp & my Mom & Dad were over there. Also  my Uncle said," You don't want that deer. That's a bambie." There was a stand closer to the water hole, but it was only a 1-man-stand. He told me,"  You've got your lisence. You shoul go in that  stand over there." "Ok." So we went over to the stand and while we were walking over there a deer darted away in front of us. We didn't go to the stand, instead we just went on the other side of the water hole. Austin and our friend were comeing back to camp a little after we got to the other side. We stayed there for about 15 min. then took a break to get lunch and helped pack up camp. Then me and our friend went to go put the blind in a differant place. At about 2:00 pm, me and our friend went back to the blind. We were only there for about an hour and a half until we heard something. We both turned to see what it was. It was a doe walking to a different water hole that was in front of us. My heaart was pounding like a drum. When it got there it started drinking. We got the gun cocked, I aimed it, then I almost didn't want to shoot it becaus its not that often that you see a deer. The chair I was sitting in was just slightly not high enough. So I had to lift myself barely off the chair. I sat there with the gun aimed for a few seconds then shot it! I was so excited! " I just got my first deer!" I thought to myself. I put another bullet in the gun and we walked over to the deer. It was a perfect clean shot! My Mom and Uncle were walking in the woods when they heard the gun-shot go off. So our friend called them over and him and my uncl put the deer on the 4-wheeler and whent back to camp. Me and my Mom walked the short-cut straight through the woods to camp. Our friend and my uncle had been there only three minutes when we got there. And they took the 4-wheeler! Austin and my Dad went to the blind to see if they could maybe see a deer. Anyway, when they went to the blind Our friend field dressed it then we hung it upside down on a pole in a tree. Then we finished packing what we could. Then just talked while we waited. It was dark when they got back to camp. Then we left to go home. We took the deer to my Dad's friend so that he could do what was left to do. And we can't swim in it yet. We have had 2 pools before (the kind you have to set up every year) and hade problems with them. So we figured it would be best to get a pool that stays up all year long. Plus in the middle of all that we had a problem with one of the legs so we had to take it off and put it on again.  Austin, Elizabeth, and I went to the dentist  then to WAL-MART , Home Depot, post office, Goodwill, Great-Grandma's, then finally home.
