I am going insane...more poetry.

If I could live back many years,Past earth's strife and bitter tears, I would live with Arthur's knights, Yet apart from sword, still I would write. The pen and ink is my desire,Yet I love a trek through muddy mire. And though music is well and fine,Still I find writing on my mind.Oft the muse eludes my grasp, And keeps away my beloved task. But when the inspiration flows,You need not ask, for you will know.It is hard to describe this feeling,That brings about such emotional healing.Like 'lectricity through my veins,Flow soft, melodious strains.I am a novelist, it is true,And being a poet is quite new.But when the plot eludes my grasp,In a poem is where I shall bask.Kantare

Thought I'd post this...

Sing, O Muse, of the land of my birth, That sits in the middle of our fertile earth. Sing of my love and affinity, Of the fair land called Trinity. Sing of the plains stretching great and wide, Tell of the mountains, where evil hides. Sing of the ocean, all white with spray, And Sing, O Muse, of the beautiful day. See the great fountains of Breccia! Note the green trees of Talc all covered in copia*. See the Trinitian shores all covered in sand, And See, O Muse, Candoria's dark lands. Go to the Forest of the King, And see the great trees without a ring. Go to His castle and see that no plant dwindles, And Go, O Muse, to where love was first kindled. And now, O Muse, sweep me away, And take me back before the break of day. Take me back to my fair Trinity, Where lies all my love and affinity.*copia is a large, darked stripped, tropical fruit found only in Talc.

Cedarville Writing Camp

Hello all,

I am most likely going to a writing camp this summer...in Ohio...and I am going to be all by myself! *sobs* So, I was wondering if any of you would be interested in coming and hanging out with me. Yes, for my siblings it would be a long drive (but a short fly) and I would REALLY like for you to come.
Here is the link...check it out! Maybe I'll see some of you there!

Day 16

Well...here it is the last few hours of 2008, and I thought I'd write to you. I have started a new story idea that is non-fantasy, mainly due to the fact that I was challenged to do something other than fantasy by Ninwaii...so, we'll see how that goes. Oh, I don't know whom of you know, but I and some of my non-blood relatives made a blog that I am sure you would all love. We call ourselves Poverty's Penmen, and we all live together on a place we call Poverty Flatts. Come and read of our Adventures (Mis or otherwise)! I'm sure you will enjoy it! http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/nonbloodrelatives Well, I will write again, sometime next year...and it may be any moment. Fare you well! Kantare P.S. For those of you who voted, the USA shoes made it...thanks for all your input!

Day 15

I do believe I haven't had this much fun in YEARS. Today, it is 61 degrees (F) and raining steadily. Thus, you may imagine, this day had the potential to be VERY depressing. Well, my little brother and I had to go feed our animals this morning. After we were done, I got the crazy notion to go into our fields, and just run around. This we did, and then we splashed in every single puddle we could find. We got soaked. Then, we made a mud castle, and painted our faces with the leftovers. (keep in mind I am almost 16...strange I know, but man, it was fun!) Once we were finished with our masterpieces, we splashed more and rinsed off our hands, and then tramped back up the big hill to the house. Upon reaching the house, we didn't think we had done enough, so we wrestled with our dogs in the rain too. Mom couldn't believe what she saw when we hiked the stairs are rang the doorbell. I had LOADS of fun. Kantare

But if you like converse, please look at the two following links, and then vote in the poll to tell me which one you like best. Kantare USA Bumblebee

Day 14

So...the tournament's over, and I have rather good news........my partner and I WON FIRST PLACE!!!!!! We had the awards ceremony today, and we found out that several judges gave us a PERFECT SCORE! I am really excited. It is late now, and I just finished dancing...(an old English style dance, where men wear jackets, and ladies wear gowns) and I am exhausted. Dancing is a good way to get all that speech-making out of your system though.

Well, it is late for me now, and I have to awake early for the three hour drive home. Hopefully, you will hear from me again soon!

Day 12

Yes, it has been a LONG time since I last wrote about my life...hectic as usual. Fencing is going well, and I just had a jazz/symphonic concert Tuesday (the 9th). I am going to a speech tournament tomorrow, at 5 am (woot) and I am doing a humorous duo with a friend.

My book is going ok, I guess, sorry I haven't updated in a while. I am currently re-writing the entire beginning so as to make it not flow so fast. As it was, my readers were hurled into my world a bit too fast. I am also adding more detail (I am a detail freak), and I am trying to develop the characters better, and add more emotion. I have always said that if I make you cry, laugh, or both, then I fully accomplished my mission, and I surely hope I shall with some of these scenes.

Merry Christmas, and I hope I can remember to write again soon! : )
