For the soldiers.

I got this in an e-mail and I just had to post it.
ƒÂƒÃ‚‚ Will you give this to my Daddy?

As a Company, Southwest Airlines is going to support 'Red Fridays.'

Last week I was in Atlanta , Georgia attending a conference. While I
was in the airport, returning home, I heard several people behind me
beginning to clap and cheer. I immediately turned around and w itnessed
one of the greatest acts of patriotism I have ever seen.

Moving thru the terminal was a group of soldiers in their camos. As they
began heading to their gate, everyone (well almost everyone)was abruptly
to their feet with their hands waving and cheering.

When I saw the soldiers, probably 30-40 of them, being applauded and
cheered for, it hit me. I'm not alone. I'm not the only red-blooded
American who still loves this country and suppo rts our troops and their
families.

Of course I immediately stopped and began clapping for these young
unsung heroes who are putting their lives on the line everyday for us so
we can go to school, work and home without fear or reprisal.

Just when I thought I could not be more proud of my country or of our
service men and women, a young girl, not more than 6 or 7 years old ran
up to one of the male soldiers. He kneeled down and said 'hi.'

The little girl then asked him if he would give something to her daddy
for her.

The young soldier, who didn't look any older than maybe 22 himself,
said he would try and what did she want to give to her daddy. Then
suddenly the little girl grabbed the neck of this soldier, gave him the
biggest hug she could muster and then kissed him on the cheek.

The mother of the little girl, who said her daughter's name was
Courtney, told the young soldier that her husband was a Marin e and had
been in Iraq for 11 months now. As the mom was explaining how much her
daughter Courtney missed her father, the young soldier began to tear up.

When this temporarily single mom was done explaining her situation, all
of the soldiers huddled together for a brief second. Then one of the
other servicemen pulled out a military-looking walkie-talkie. They
started playing with the device and talking back and forth on it.

After about 10-15 seconds of this, the young soldier walked back over to
Courtney, bent down and said this to her, 'I spoke to your daddy and he
told me to give this to you.' He then hugged this little girl that he
had just met and gave her a kiss on the cheek. He finished by saying
'your daddy told me to tell you that he loves you more than anything and
he is coming home very soon.'

The mom at this point was crying almost uncontrollably and as the yo ung
soldier stood to his feet, he saluted Courtney and her mom. I was
standing no more than 6 feet away from this entire event.

As the soldiers began to leave, heading towards their gate, people
resumed their applause. As I stood there applauding and looked around,
there were very few dry eyes, including my own. That young soldier in
one last act of selflessness, turned around and blew a kiss to Courtney
with a tear rolling down his cheek.

We need to remember everyday all of our soldiers and their families and
thank God for them and their sacrifices. At the end of the day, it's
good to be an American.

RED FRIDAYS ----- Very soon, you will see a great many people wearing
Red every Friday. The reason? Americans who support our troops used to
be called the 'silent majority'. We are no longer silent, and are
voicing our love for God, country and home in record b reaking numbers.

We are not organized, boisterous or over-bearing.. We get no liberal
media coverage on TV, to reflect our message or our opinions. Many
Americans, like you, me and all our friends, simply want to recognize
that the vast majority of America supports our troops.

Our idea of showing solidarity and support for our troops with dignity
and respect starts this Friday -and continues each and every Friday
until the troops all come home, sending a deafening message that.. Every
red-blooded American who supports our men and women afar will wear
something red.

By word of mouth, press, TV -- let's make the United States on every
Friday a sea of red much like a homecoming football game in the
bleachers.

If every one of us who loves this country will share this with
acquaintances, co-workers, friends, and family. It will not be long before the
USA is covered in RED and it will let our troops know the
once 'silent' majority is on their side more than ever; certainly more
than the media lets on.

The first thing a soldier says when asked 'What can we do to make
things better for you?' is...We need your support and your prayers.

Let's get the word out and lead with class and dignity, by example; and
wear something red every Friday.

IF YOU AGREE -- THEN SEND THIS ON.

IF YOU COULD CARE LESS THEN HIT THE DELETE BUTTON --- IT IS YOUR
CHOICE.
From now on I'll be wearing red on fridays, I hope you will to.
To any men or women out their who are in the armed foces who might read this I want you to know that I support you all the way, and I can't wait to join your ranks later this year. Take care and God bless.

Las Vegas, a girl, and movies..... none of them connected

Well I lets see whats been happening in my life. In about a month or so I will be headed to Las Vegas Nevada for an international karate championship. I don't realy like Las Vegas but thats where the tounament is going to be so thats were I'll go. Oh I have an update about that girl Ithat I know that had been making some bad choices. Well this boy who used to be in our youth group had asked her out, and she had accepted. Now all the boys in the youth group thought that it was a bad idea because we had seen how he had changed sence he left the youth group, getting in to drugs and stuff like that. But us guys didn't realy want to say anything because all the girls in the youth still see the this guy the way that he used to be. Well for some reason that I don't know she dicided that she want to go out with him and so she ended it, and ever sence then her life seems to be getting back to normal.
In other news I saw tow movies recently that were, well, a wast of time. And I do not recomend them. the first movie was called Cloverfield. There were two things that killed the movie. One thing was that they filmed the whole movie with a home video camera, the other was that the ending was terrable. Everybody died in the end. It could have been a great movie if not for those two things. THe other Movie was Meet the Spartans this movie was funny but very very discusting. This movie was funny but I would not see it again. It was just bad.
Well I have to go for now so I'll talk to all of you later and I'll try to get a tag up so that you guys can stop readng about my boring life.

I'll be done! Just kidding, but I am very stoked. I've been waiting so long for this and now its finaly here. And a follow up on what I wrote about last time. Well this girl broke up with the guy and every thing worked out but now she is making some bad choices as a sort of bounce back, so she needs prayer. Oh about two weeks ago I saw a girl that I havent seen in a long time. I have known here forever, I'm not kidding. Our parents knew each other before they got married. And this girl was amazing, she is every thing that I've ever wanted. But there is only one problem, she now lives in oklahoma, go figure hu. Your all thinking "wow you sure know how to pick em" Oh well, every thing will work out. well Ive got to go now see you around

Merry Christmas

I figure that I had better say this now or else I'll forget to do it later. MERRY CHRISTMAS every one. Ok now thatss done. Things are pretty much the same sence the last time I posted.
My dislike for a guy a youth group is getting greater every time I see him. this is the same guy that I mentioned the last time I posted. Ok in case some of you are lost at this point there is a new guy at my youth group that I don't get along with. Here is what some of the reasons that I don't like him. 1: he comes to my youth group meeting one night and half an hour into the meeting he starts to flirt with a girl and I mean hard core flirting. Oh and I had liked this girl for a few months and I thought that she liked me. Now this guy is friends with two there people in the group and they have been try to get this guy and this girl together for a long time now. Well any way they had been seeing each other every day for two weeks thanks to his friends in the youth group. Now they are going out and I'm kind of left hanging out to dry if you know what I mean. 2: But its more than that, he treats her like crud. He makes fun of her behind her back and is generaly a jerk. When I first met him I didn't like him but I didn't say any thing because I didn't know why I didn't like him, well now I know. I'm trying not to hate him but it getts harder every time I see him. And now this girl won't talk to me or even look at me. And this whole thing just makes me mad
All right I"m done complaining and I'm sorry I made you sit through all of that. On the brighter side of life I just went to see I am Legend, it's a good movie. But even cooler than that I saw a trailer for Narnia Prince Caspian and I have to say that movie looks totaly awsome.

Well I have to go now but before I go I just want to say to all of you Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!! and don't let any thing spoil the birth of Christ.
