How I Built My Time Machine

Periodically I like to publish work the kids have done, recently we did a unit all about time, as part of the unit we read books about the history of time, made different clocks, watched Back to the Future on video and wrote a story about...you guessed it...TIME!

How I Built My Time Machine
By: Big Brother

One day I thought of building a time machine. So I built a time machine this is how I did it. First I got the supplies then I got two pieces and put them together. I still need to build the frame. I think I will use steel for the frame because it won't break in the time loops. Pretty soon it'll have leather seats and a cyberwheel. A cyberwheel is a wheel that steers in the time loops. Now I've installed the leather seats and the cyberwheel. When it is finishd it will be 12'5" (12 feet 5 inches) wide and 20' (20 feet) tall.

My time machine will run on water because water can be found almost anywhere. Did you know water is explosive when taken apart? Thats why I used it because the hydrogen part of h2o can ignite to propel the car up so I can go to the past and future. My car will have a special engine that sucks in the water and seperates the oygen and the hydrogen then it ignites the hydrogen and lets out the oxygen.

When I'm finishd I will go to the year 1776 to see the constition being written. Then I will got to 1,000bc at precisly 1:00 because I want to see the dinosaurs. It'll be the best time machine in the world, tune into the next episode for more time machine fun.

Packaged Blessings

Earlier this year I had a vision to create a children's missions team at my church that would incorporate activities for children to get involved in mission type activities. For a while it was just a dream in the back of my mind until another couple at the church began offering a parents night out once a month. They approached me about alternating some months so they could have some time off as well. I loved the idea, but in my heart something seemed to be missing. One evening while praying an idea came to me to combine a parents night out with a mission oriented focus. This would provide parents an opportunity to get some much needed quality time as well as provide the kids with a meaningful activity that would help grow them. The children's mission team met for the first time on 11/14 to put together Operation Christmas Child Boxes. It was an amazing testimony to Gods perfect plan. Church members donated gifts to be stuffed in the boxes along with shoe boxes to be sent. The children's mission team provided wrapping paper and tape. We had 9 children come and together we wrapped wrapped and stuffed 30 boxes full of gifts for children around the world. This was a great start for our new children's mission team, now off to discover what God has in store for us for our next mission...
