)=

I'm so sad... I just scored a 30/100 on Kaitlyn's quiz. That wouldn't have happened if I had taken the quiz last spring or summer. School takes up so much of my time now (of course...) I've not been able to just have you guys (Kendra and Kaitlyn) come over whenever; instead, we hardly ever see each other. I hardly ever talk to you either, since I'm up 'till like eleven every night on account of homework. I miss you all SO much! Sure, I'm making new friends in school, but none could replace my best friends of, like, almost 10 years, now.

More Stuff (I'm Wonderful at Titles, Aren't I?)

Welp, a lot of stuff has happened since I last posted, and I want to tell y'all about it! So, on Wednesday night, I went to Michelle's house, and we played DDR, and watched anime until four in the morning! We watched Fruits Basket, Full Metal Panic, Samurai X, and a couple others, too. It was SO much fun! Then, on Thursday, Gianna and Nanny came down, and we played and opened presents, and stuff! Friday, we got up and went to Boyd's Bear Country, where Gianna got to make her own bear (white, with a poodle skirt and sunglasses), and then to Staples (for Science Fair stuff), and back home. Saturday, we went to my grandmother's house, where we decorated her Christmas tree for Russian Christmas (January 7th), then we went shopping! Sunday, my uncle came down to pick up Gianna. On their way home, Gianna called me, saying that everytime she thought of me she cried because she missed me so much! Isn't that sweet? So, I have to go back to school tomorrow, and the Science Fair is coming up. Semester Exams are soon (thankfully, I don't have to take them; YAY!) Well, hope I get to see you guys soon! Happy Belated Birthday, Kameron!

Christmas

Hey all! So, Christmas was GREAT this year! I got out of school on Wednesday, and we went to see The Chronicles of Narnia on Thursday. Kendra slept over on Thursday, too! YAY! My first sleepover in a LONG time! ON Saturday we did the usual Christmas Eve stuff (cleaning, wrapping, etc.) until about 5:30, when the Forsythes came over. We exchanged presents and watched That's So Raven. We also watched Kullen sing White Christmas and "dance to the music" on Shrek, which was probably the funniest thing I've EVER seen! After that, everyone went to the candlelight service at my church, except me; I went to Sarah and Anna's house to babysit (A.K.A. watch Raising Helen, because they were asleep the whole time.) At about 11:00, we got home, hung up our stockings, and went to bed. Next morning, I got up at, like, 5:00, but my mom told me to go back to sleep. Well, I couldn't, so I ended up watching National Treasure. We went to church at 10:30, and Mommy gave her first sermon! (she's a layspeaker) Then we went home and opened presents! I got a Nintendo DS with Nintendogs and the FIFA game! I also got all six Star Wars movies, and LOTS of books, and perfume, a dolphin necklace, and Kutless's first CD. We did nothing for the rest of the day; nothing yesterday, and pretty much nothing today. Nanny and Gianna are coming either tomorrow or Thursday, and I'm going to an anime sleepover at my friend Michelle's house on Wednesday! So, hopefully I'll see you guys soon! Miss you!

Thanksgiving And Stuff

Ok, so I might as well fill you in on what's been going on since I last posted a fairly good sized entry. We got out of school on the 21st of November, and had a week off, though I had to start my science fair project-- Then Gianna, Uncle Johnny, and Nanny (my grandmother) came down on Thanksgiving. Gianna is my six-year-old cousin, and she's SO cute! On Friday we went to Harper's Ferry, and we walked across the railroad bridge and had lunch in a little cafe. I also bought Amelia's War by Ann Rinaldi. I've already read it and it is REALLY great! Her books are all like that. Yeah, and also, that morning at about 4:45, we got up and went to Wal*Mart for all the sales, which was SO great; I got Because of Winn-Dixie for $10! They left that Saturday, and I had to go back to school on Monday; I really did not want to go. We had essays due on Wednesday, a geography test on Friday, and at least seven quizzes during the course of the week. The one good thing about this past week was that we got to play soccer! I had been waiting for so long! For those of you who don't know, soccer is my absolute most favorite sport! Then we got off again on Friday for the weekend. I did some more Christmas shopping, finished my science fair project, etc. Now it's Sunday and I have to go back to school tomorrow. Thank goodness we didn't have too much homework over the weekend! Garsh, I never see you guys any more. Well, please post comments! Love y'all!

Teh Poem

Ok, so in English the other day, we had to write a poem using three of these words : red bicycle, chicken noodle soup, umbrella, elephant, key, shadow.

It took me, like, the whole period, but I finally finished it! YAY!

The key in shadow gives way,
To something exotic, I daresay,
Finding the key will take you some time,
But I will explain it all in this rhyme.

First you must travel the paths all alone,
To a place shadows roam;
Where elves make their home.

You must search for the key,
You must find a bright place,
In this dark, dismal land,
Where the moon comes through lace.
In this lachrymose vale,
You must argue your case.

I'm sure you will search under oak, under maple,
Until you discover that it's really quite simple.
Just reach out in front, and unlock the lock,
Then you'll come on a land
Where umbrellas dance and elephants mock.

By indulging yourself,
You will soon realize,
That the key is not really and truly a key,
It's something more;
With no cost, but quite free.

For the key is imagination, you see.....

Poem

Fireflies fade into the night,
Beyond the mountains bathed in moonlight.

A single bird flies overhead,
As all inhabitants go to bed.

The stars come out above,
And claim the sky for keeps,

A tiny cricket sings,
Before drifting off to sleep.

The grass ripples forlornly,
As a fox darts past,

And on this lonely Summer night,
All is quiet at last...
