<title>Heart of a Handmaiden - Homeschool Blogger</title>
<description>Welcome to my small corner of the web! Everyday there is blessings to be thankful for!
I am bountifully blessed by my dear Savior and thank Him for His working in my life!
The truth of the Lord Jesus is truly beautiful! I believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible, one God and Jesus is His name, and the doctrine that the apostles taught! The Lord has blessed me with a wonderful family! I am a graduate of homeschooling, and am in the process of doing online college classes.
My goal with this site is to encourage other homeschoolers and especially young ladies who are striving for more than the average expectations. May the Lord bless you if that&#039;s you! And just hoping that what I write will spread a little bit of sunshine to someones path! Thanks for visiting and have a great day!</description>

<title>Finals Week ~ Hunter's Poem</title>
<description>

My Brother's Writings
**********
first semester freshmen

Finals week
Awake students
 Oh so fine
 For finals week draweth nigh

 Whether you'll die
 Or do just fine
 Tomorrow will decide&amp;nbsp;
 On who to bestow

The honors glow

And to whom

With somber gloom

Will dread the imposing doom

The ones who woke, with a start

Ready to go and do their part

And to those

Who crawled out of bed

 Wagging their sleepy head

Some are glum
 And feeling dumb

To whom

Humanity is insanity

And math is like Staff

A terrible infection

That requires deep reflection

 To whom an elective

Is effective
 In creating mayhem and dismay
 At least, that's what some say

And you best beware&amp;nbsp;

Swine Flu&amp;nbsp;is in the air

So this is how a semester ends

It comes so fast

And then its gone

In a moment
 A change from anxiety to relief
 And so it goes

During finals week

&amp;nbsp;~~~

<title>Hens Update</title>
<description>Update from the hen house...
&amp;nbsp; Many are asking for pictures!&amp;nbsp; I am sorry for the delay,&amp;nbsp;tis finals week.&amp;nbsp; (I have an amusing post coming up about that, stayed tuned)&amp;nbsp; So, for now lets discuss the latest news from the lively and noisy hen house!
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; There isn't any way to tell&amp;nbsp;the exact day that&amp;nbsp;the chickens began laying since we were out of town on Thanksgiving break.&amp;nbsp; They are now producing about an egg or two a day. When we did finally catch on to them we discovered 7 eggs in the nest, and I'm pretty positive they didn't do that all in one morning! So anyways.... yes, yes, I have some pictures to share!
But first a humorous quote by Mark Twain...

&amp;ldquo;Noise proves nothing. Often a hen who has merely laid an egg cackles as if she laid an asteroid.&amp;rdquo;
&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The first round of seven eggs...

&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Next morning.&amp;nbsp; Yes an egg in the nest!

&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Time to gather....

&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;Rejoicing in the blessing...

&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Yes, thank you madam!

&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp; Enjoy!

&amp;nbsp;

<title>Prayer of Cyrus Brown</title>
<description>THE PRAYER OF CYRUS BROWN
&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;by Sam Walter Foss

&quot;The proper way for a man to pray,&quot;
Said Deacon Lemuel Keyes,
&quot;And the only proper attitude
Is down upon his knees.&quot;
&quot;No, I should say the way to pray,&quot;
Said Reverend Doctor Wise,
&quot;Is standing straight with outstretched arms
And rapt and upturned eyes.&quot;
&quot;Oh, no, no, no,&quot;
said Elder Slow,
Such posture is too proud.
&quot;A man should pray with eyes fast-closed
And head contritely bowed.&quot;
&quot;It seems to me his hands should be
Austerely clasped in front
With both thumbs pointing toward the ground,&quot;
Said Reverend Doctor Blunt.
&quot;Last year I fell in Hidgekin's well
Headfirst,&quot; said Cyrus Brown,
&quot;With both my heels a-stickin' up
And my head a-pointin' down.
&quot;And I made a prayer right then and there,
The best prayer I ever said,
The prayingest prayer I ever prayed,
A-standin' on my head.&quot;
