<title>Preparing For The Cold</title>
<description>Yesterday John, Jason, Joshua, Josiah and I collected wood because it&amp;rsquo;s supposed to be cold all week.&amp;nbsp; This is how the system worked.&amp;nbsp; Joshua, Josiah and I would take the wheelbarrow and get wood while John and Jason would cut wood.&amp;nbsp; Then when we had&amp;nbsp; a lot of wood all of us would break it or cut it. Then when we were done we would stack it.

<title>It Snowed!</title>
<description>It snowed a couple inches a few days ago so we sledded in our pasture.&amp;nbsp; At the bottom of the hill was a fence that we would bump into.&amp;nbsp; We had inflatable sleds so sometimes they would pop.&amp;nbsp; It kept Jenna busy&amp;nbsp; patching up the holes.&amp;nbsp;

<title>Today’s News</title>
<description>I set my trap last night down by the pond on what I think is a rabbit trail. I used apple as bait. But I didn&amp;rsquo;t catch anything.&amp;nbsp; So I left the trap out to see if I catch anything today.&amp;nbsp;
Now that it&amp;rsquo;s warmer out the opossum hide is unfrozen so Jenna and I salted it and hung it up to dry.&amp;nbsp; Cheerio.

<title>Skinning An Opossum</title>
<description>
I mentioned in my last post that I set my trap. I set it with an apple that Jonah didn&amp;rsquo;t finish eating.&amp;nbsp; Jenna and I put the trap by a log and near it there were a couple burrows.&amp;nbsp; Guess what I caught?&amp;nbsp; I caught an opossum.

Here I am going to whack it with a stick.
&amp;nbsp;

&amp;nbsp; I had to whack it several&amp;nbsp; times but then my dad took a whack at it.&amp;nbsp; That did the job.

We started at the neck.&amp;nbsp; It was a little tough but we managed.
It was also hard to get around the head and legs.
Skinning the back was the easiest, then the sides.&amp;nbsp; And when we where skinning we tried to not cut through the meat. We would skin in shifts because it was 35&amp;deg;F out and it was snowing.&amp;nbsp;
Here I am trying to skin it with my sister's pocket knife. But it was hard so my dad got out his fillet knife.

&amp;nbsp;Here&amp;rsquo;s our beautiful skin!
