Blessed

I am so blessed to be able to stay home with my boys and watch them grow and learn. Thanks be to God and my wonderful husband for supporting me on this journey. It is also nice to have homeschool friends to do things with like park days. Yesterday, my boys thoroughly enjoyed the park with friends they hadn't seen in almost a year. I also enjoyed talking with my old friends and making new ones. Also, even though my dryer's heating element went out, God blessed me yesterday and today with warmer weather and a nice breeze to dry my laundry and held the rain off until I got the clothes off the line. Thank you, Lord!

Optimistic About the New School Year

I am optimistic about the new school year. I have realized that I was trying to homeschool in my own strength, but it will not work that way. I need to rely on God all the time for things to work out his way. Before I tried to have my oldest son learn things the way I learned them in school with workbooks and lots of writing, eventhough he doesn't learn best that way and gets really frustrated with so much writing. He learns best by doing. This year, we are going to do alot more hands-on things, so my boys can actually experience what they are learning not just see a piece of paper. With God all things all possible!
