Down With The Patriots!

Hey, ya'll, it's been a little while. But I need to post and thought of something.

Well, we all know that the Patriots are playing the Giants in Super Bowl- whatever. I can't remember the number. It's in the 40's or something.

I'm personally a football fan. I know that alot of people I know think that football is a piece of trash(*coughs* Joci!). But not me. I remember talking to Beav, and he was telling me something along the lines of sports games are junk or something. But, ha, I asked him what he knew about football, and he said, well, I know there's like 10 lines or something.

I gotta tell this one! We were at Beav's house, and I was playing my dad in a football game, and my team had black jerseys, and daddy's had white, and so without knowing what he was saying, Beav goes, " Hey, is that white guy your dad?" Hahah!!

Ok, so like I was saying, I'm a big football junkie, and well, the Panthers are my favorite team. But they didn't even come close to making the playoffs. So out of the teams that made the playoffs, I wanted Green Bay to make it, just cause I have a tremendous respect for Brett Favre. So I was kinda bummed that they didn't make it . But let me tell ya something, I CAN NOT STAND THE PATRIOTS! And now that I think of it, almost everybody I know, nobody wants the Patriots to win the Super Bowl. And here's why I don't like them.

Well, IT all started when they beat the Panthers in Super Bowl-Something or Other. Hahhah! So, yeah, I've never really liked 'em. But this year I've just really disliked them more and more. And one of the reasons is at the start of the year, you know, they got caught cheating, taping Jets hand signals. But besides that, they've just started being real smarty pants. They're just real arrogant. I can't stand teams that are arrogant.

So all in all, that's why I'm pulling for the Giants this Super Bowl. And hopefully next year, the Panthers will make it to Super Bowl-Whatcha Macallit. That's all for me.

                                  Dylan

Hey y'all, I think I'll post something. You know what? I don't think I've told y'all about the adoption.

Okay, Mom and Dad are trying to adopt this little girl, and she's cute as a button. That's all I'll say here. We're kinda just trying to keep it to 1 blog. If you want to learn more go here.

Alright, let's get some Pat Metheny going here!

Also, I'm gonna start another semester of drum classes tomorrow. That should be fun. Well, I know it's gonna be.

Soooo, the Panthers aren't in the playoffs, cause, well, they stunk. Maybe next year they'll do something. That's all I can think of to say right now, so uhh... Peace Out. That was a short post.

Happy New Year!

Hello all, I've got to start starting my posts out differently, cause Beav told me so when I was at his house. Ha, he's like" dude why do you always start you entry's out like, 'So I thought I'd show you this.' Show some feeling." Yes, master. Yeah, I went to his house several times in the last couple weeks. He's fun to be around, and the best part is, you never know what's going to come out of the guy's mouth.

Anyway, I'm gonna try to get a new blog going here soon. I just wanted to write this post to let y'all know I'm alive. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. I got an iPod nano for Christmas and it's great. I also got these new Indian drums called the Tabla. That's gonna be difficult to learn. But worth it.

Down here in the mountains the weather's getting weird. The other day it was like 8 degrees out, and now it's gonna be 60 soon. Any way here's another funny video.

ASU National Champions!

I meant to post about this earlier. But anyhow... Remember when I posted about my home college Appalachian State beating Michigan? Yeah a "cupcake team" ruining a top team a chance to win the BCS. Well, I neglected to say that App. State had won 2 FCS Division I AA championships in a row, and they were hoping for another. A 3-Peat.

By the way, we have a bunch of great players on the team. One of them is Armanti Edwards who last week rushed for 300+ yards against Richmond. Another is Corey Lynch, who blocked the would-be winning field goal at the end of regulation against Michigan. By the way, App. State is 21-0 in games where Corey Lynch has a interception. Which he did against Michigan.

Now, Let me explain why this win is so incredible. They started the year off with the win against Michigan, which in my opinion is the biggest upset ever. Then midway, through the season, they gave one up to Wofford, and then to Georgia Southern. For a while, it looked like they wouldn't even make it the playoffs. Armanti got injured and senior QB Trey Elder came in for him. Trey Elder had the starting QB job the year before, but then gave it up when he saw freshman Armanti Edwards had remarkable talent.

ASU didn't lose another game. And all of a sudden Wofford had lost 3 games. Because Wofford and ASU both lost two games in their conference, they were tied for first. App was going to the playoffs.
First stop, App vs. James Madison. ASU was playing good, but with about 5 minutes to go it was JM 27- ASU 19. Then we drove. We made a field goal with about 3 minutes to go. Then we made probably the biggest stop of the year, forcing JM a three and out. Then JM did the unbelievable. They went for it on fourth down. And didn't make it. Then App drove and Armanti rushed for a touchdown. It was 28-27 with a minute to go. They missed the two point conversion. Still 28-27. Then JM drove inside the 5 yard line. Under twenty seconds to go. All they needed was a field goal to win it. The next play was what separates a good team from a great one. Corey Lynch forced a fumble, and ASU fell on it. Game.

The next game they squirted by Eastern Washington 38-35. Wofford lost to Richmond that day. And then App beat Richmond 55-35. Sounds like a whooping, but it was 35-35 at one point.

It was off to Chattanooga(the place where they hold the Division I-AA championships) for the 3rd year in a row. They were to play Delaware. ASU rallied. Early in the second, they led 21-0. At the end of the half it was 28-7. Then Delaware came back. It was 35-14 in the fourth, and DU was threatening to score again. But ASU stopped them on fourth down, and scored another touchdown. Later in the fourth, it was their ball again, and they took the starters out. Trey Elder came in. First play, huge rushing touchdown for Elder( By the way, that was Elder's last game. Good call, coach). Then Delaware returned the kickoff all they way. Then the kickoff returner thrust the ball at the App fans. That was garbage. The final score was 49-21,and for the 3rd year in a row, ASU was going home victorious.

And to top that off, the Panthers beat the Seahawks 13-10. It was a great weekend. I'll be back soon. I got tagged. Later.

                                       Dylan

The Post Machine Strikes Again!( That's Kinda Creative If I Do Say So Myself)

Hey, I haven't been posting lately. I guess I'm just a knucklehead. I'm excited about this month, cause I have a drum concert tomorrow, and we're playing at the assisted living place again on the 20th. So far I just know that I'm playing the lead on Silent Night. Everything is going well, it's going good. We just went this church last night, where my great uncle played with my dad. It was cool. Oh, and I found this funny video the other day.

Hahhah! Also, you might notice I put some Christmas music up in the playlist. Yay for me!
Later,
                                             Dylan

I'm back! I think I survived the surgery okay. We had it done in Hickory, which a like a hour away, so when the numb meds wore off it hurt pretty bad. I didn't think I was gonna make it home. But I'm alright now. Ummmm... Oh yeah. I got a award from Levi.
Yeah! IT rocks! Now I have to give it to 7 people. Uhhh.... Paulie, Mom, Dad, Cheeky,Britta, the other Dylan, Becca.
Okey Dokey that's it for me. So Long.

                                              Dylan

This Is Literally A "Tissue For Your Issue" Situation

So I'm a little bit nervous. I'm nervous because this is gonna be the first time I've ever really had surgery. It's not gonna be pretty.
So, I'm going to have a graft done on my gums. That is when they take part of somebody else's gum tissue (a donor), and put it where my gum tissue is receding, which I think is in four places. But anyhow, if you guys could pray for me, that'd be swell. I'm supposed to eat soft foods for a while, and no straws. So, again, prayer would be great.
Also, I'm kinda bummed right now cause the Panthers lost to the Colts today. Big time.
Anyway, you guys are rocking the comments. Keep 'em coming.

                                      Edit: Here's a funny video.

                                                     Dylan

I Still Draw Breath, Just In Case You Were Wondering

What's up guys? I haven't been posting lately. I'm a slacker. But I just got a new look, cause I was tired of the old one. But I lost my music player, so I'll be putting that back soon. Also, I'm working on some music down in the cave(basement), so I might post it later. And, I think I'll get a new avatar, cause my hair looks wild in the current one. I'll definitely post more frequently. I just got back from the beach too. A load of trips to post about. Let's see... I think let's see.. We went to Pennsylvania, and then to Abingdon,VA. And then we went to the beach. So that's roughly... Three. And mom and I just drove down to hickory, which is like a hour away. We went to Barnes & Noble. There was this teacher thing that mom wanted to go to. Door Prizes. You know how it is. And I wanted to go. Ummm...Starbucks...Ummm. It was good. I think the world would be a better place if there was a Starbucks every mile down the road. This post is long. Hehe. Later.

                                                           Dylan
