Something I just had to share!

How one little girls prayer changed everything....

We hear it all the time in church, we read it every day in our bible. Prayer can move a mountain, prayer defeats the enemy! Prayer changes everything! We hear all the time, "How there is POWER in PRAYER!" We read the very words from our Lord, if we would just seek him diligently, come to him and just ask for his help, then he would answer, he will deliver us.
We read in it over and over in the bible, yet time and time again we struggle to pray faithfully. We hear testimonies and see how he has followed through with his word.
Yet many of us still sit in the midst of what we face. Well today, friends and family can I say that one little girls giving and her strong will in dertermination for a response of her daily and nightly prayer changes everything.
Something so small and simple became so big and wonderful. Friends and Family I have seen God do something amazing through a little girl and in a little girl in the moments of her starting this pursuit and leading up to this day. Not only have I witnessed this in her but it has changed me personally.
Let me ask you, How faithful is God really? Have you ever witnessed God move in your life before? What about in someone you know?
I have many times! Yet so often as we witness his move, many of us tend to forget the things he has done for us because our focus has shifted to the stuff we are in. So to this, I would like to show you the answer he has said all along and how he used one little girl to show us the answer once again! Thanks be to God, for he is so patient with us!
The Gift:
Just this last Thanksgiving there was alot talk about Christmas! Christmas... now just the word can turn a childs eyes if they are old enough to remember what it is. My soon to be four year old listened to all the talk later to ask her questions. So again as we always do each year we sat and talked about Christmas and the birth of our Precious Lord, Jesus Christ! Wow! What a moment that was and how precious. After we continued to talk she quickly remembered the very word "Brithday"! Yet another word most children remember if they are old enough.
This wee little one has a love for cakes and most always you get one at a birthday right. But Christmas was Christs birthday. So she asked, the whopper of a question for any child her age. Jesus will have a birthday cake to, right mommy? What would you of said?
Ok a birthday cake now this is something I honestly never thought of. Why couldn't he have a birthday cake? After all it was his birthday! Most of us celebrate Christs birth, but how many of us trully celebrate this wonderful day. How could I not do this small simple request from this little one whom wants to celebrate and eat cake.
So I decided she wants a birthday cake for Jesus, she is going to give him a birthday cake. There will be no questions. Not once did I let the thought cross my mind of how silly this sounded, I mean after all how is he going to eat this cake for him? Nor did I take into consideration of what our family would say. For the most part when everyone thought is was so sweet. Few laughed.
All I knew was this little one wanted to give Jesus a birthday cake and he was going to get one. I am sure in heaven he smiled down on her that day, because of her pursistance for her plan. So as time grew closer we began planning the cake. What type of cake was she wanting for this precious celebration? What color of Icing? What would we write on the cake and how did she want to decorate it? This all had to be the way she wanted it. A child is giving a special gift to a very special someone in her life it had to be perfect in her way. And so it was.....
She wanted to make a Strawberry cake with strawberry icing. We wrote out "Happy Birthday Jesus" in pink and white hearts. When it was complete she added in a few places on the cake, Colorful Christmas M&M's to complete her gift. I have never seen a child put so much time and effort in to her creation or have I seen one so excited about her creation and what it was for, as she was this day and giving it to her special friend.
We have a big picture of the book of John in the image of Jesus hanging on our wall. In the beginning she went to it and told him, he was gonna have a cake on his birthday. The day of completion of her cake for him, she went to his picture and said Jesus Your Cake is Ready."
Christmas morning came and the first thing she said when she woke up were these exact words, "Happy Birthday Jesus, Today is your birthday." Now the moment she has waited so long for has come. We went and began our morning and the afternoon finally came when we got to the families house to wrap up this momentous celebration. Priceless!
We got the cake out, we sang "Happy Birthday to Jesus" and the kids blew out the one med sized white candle we had by the cake that day. She was so excited to give this wonderful gift and to eat a cake she had been apart of making that day. But it was so much more. Still a child and still learning. She remembers hearing us say, Just ask Jesus and in his time he will answer!
Hah, there it is again. "Just ask Jesus and he will come through for us! What was she praying for? What was so important to her that she went to Jesus daily and nightly from the first day of winter to now, pooring and praying her heart out! You will find the answer in her simple prayer she said daily and nightly below:
Dear Jesus,
Please will you bring me some snow so I can play all day. I want to make snow angels, I want to have a snow ball fight like little Bill, I want to make an snow man. Please Jesus, Please, Please, Please, make it snow. Thank you!
                                                                                                                                                                           Amen!
A small request from a child with a simple Prayer daily and nightly! Today, as many of us know from looking outside, Today, her daily and nightly, small but simple prayer request was answered with a foot of snow on the ground. When she woke this am I walked her to the window, I said calmly, "Guess what is outside today?" She lit up and her eyes so big, with a smile on her face, I pulled back the curtains and she seen her snow that she had been waiting for. My heart trembled as I watch her and the excitement all over her. I couldnt get her ready fast enough so she could get out and play. She grew so anxious and teared up claiming, "I have snow, I have snow!, Mommy it snowed!"
This morning was her day. A simple little gift from a wee little one, became such a big gift for our Lord on his special day. So to show her his way of saying, "Thank You"! He granted her one tiny simple prayer and gave her snow!
As we headed to the door she lit up, the door opened, her eyes grew big, and she bolted out the door. I anticipated her thank you but she was so excited she booked it out the door and threw the snow up in the air. She ran and fell, she dived in to make her snow angels all over the yard. She tried to make her snow man, she even planned her first three snow balls and whom would be her targets. She looked up with a smile, a tear filled her eye and she screamed once again, "It snowed, I have snow!" When it was all said and done, she came back in and looked at his picture with a smile, "I have snow! I have snow!" I bent down and I realized then what God had done for this wee little one. I began to tear and I glanced up to say my "Thank you!," The words came out but from a wee little voice. "Thank you, I have snow!"
Jesus answered her this day by sending the snow her way. A child with so little to give, so little understanding, Yet with a big heart, and strong will of dertermination, she received this day from our Lord! In this I have relearned what I already knew, but in a powerful way! God used a child, a child he gave to me, in a powerful way. That means a lot to me personally because he took the extra time to send the extra help our way.
He makes the time to send our way a little extra help to learn what ever it is we find so hard to learn. He is patient with us even when we are stubborn to his ways. He is forgiving each time we fall, each time we turn a deaf ear, he is loving always no matter what!
I hope you received a blessing by reading about this blessing! Abby received hers today. How awesome he is, How faithful he is! It took a lot of prayer but she never gave up, it took some time, but today her wait is over. Abby got her answer this morning when she awoke. Her words all this day are this, " Mommy, I have snow, Jesus bring me snow, I love the snow, I love the snow, He bring me snow mommy! Thankyou Jesus for my snow!"
Blessings to all,
In Christ Love,
Homeschool101

'Have faith in God,' Jesus answered. 'I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, "Go, throw yourself into the sea," and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins'" (Mark 11:22-25).

"And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it" (John 14:13-14).

HISTORY IN THE MAKING!!

INAUGURATION DAY FOR PRES-ELECT
BARAK HUSSIEN OBAMA!
Well! Well! Well! We all seen the inauguration today! So what do we think! This one is worth a talk. Come post your comments on what you thought today! I am curious to see what anyone has to say! My thoughts and look I am being honest. I dont mean to sound crutial or do I mean to offend if any take offense.
But today was an unbelievable joke! The President Elect Barak Hussein Obama looked so un*prepared, with this unusually Dumbfounding look on his face like he is just not believing that he is actually going to be president and really it was the look of puzzling and concerned about can he do this. That and his mess up in the swearing in oath that has many asking if it will be disputed in the supreme court.
Thank God I am not the only one who caught this as most of the media caught this as well. YES! You heard it right! The media caught it to. Now keep in mind I realize that there is alot he will be taking on in the next 24 hours alone. But this guy is not prepared he seems to be uncertain of what he is doing and what actually happened to day. Maybe it is the stress of what he is taking on, maybe it is the fact that he is the First African American President. Maybe he really just does not know what he is doing!?!
What do you think! I can honestly say that today with the history in making, I am proud to say I am apart of this history in the making. As my kids! But I am uncertain as to what Mr Obama can offer or do for this country with no background or experience. I do not mean to offend any as I am not prejudice at all. I view everyone equally as the bible says to. But I honestly wonder was the real reason for his winning because he would be the first African American President.
By all means I am glad for him do not mistake me at all! I am proud for the African American People! We certainly needed a change to come. But is the change he will bring is it the change this country desperately needs? We need to pray that he will listen to God and obey Gods laws.
Look the day after election I carried a disappointment and really it was more of a crutial judge disappointment. When I opened my email in my email box was my daily KLOVE Positive word. The word was about judging, do not judge or we to shall be judged. Giving praise to god for we know not what god is doing so be careful not to judge. The word was so powerful I will have to pull it up again for actuall scripture.
I had to go before God and repent for judging the whole election and Mr Obama. I do not want to judge him so in this please do not mistake me as being a critical judge. I am merely expressing my opinions. I am weary of the Mr Obama but I know God can and will use him as long as Mr Obama allows God to move in and through him.
It honestly would not matter what the color is, what does matter is the experience and the things he can or will merely do. If it were someone of the same ethnic with more experience I would be as proud for them as I am for Mr Obama! So please understand this. However, Mr Obama's background is little to ZILCH and I am concerned with nothing in his background what do we face as a country? What can he offer us and make happen for us?
Well this is what we will see in the next four years as long as some genius does not do something un genius like if you catch my drift. But at any rate it was a very interesting inauguration.
An inauguration dinner after Abram Lincoln very interesting and EXPENSIVE! We will have to keep our country in prayer and certainly MR OBAMA and HIS FAMILY, and electoral staff!
WEll blessings all! Please post your comments but be respectful on our blog. Thanks

PRESCHOOL - ELEMENTARY

I JUST WANTED TO PASS THIS ALONG FOR THOSE WITH PRESCHOOLERS AND EVEN ELEMENTARY KIDS!
I WAS READING IN A BOOK LENT TO ME ABOUT HOW TO HELP YOUR KIDS READ AND IDENTIFY THEIR LETTERS AND WORDS MORE.
THIS IS ESPESCIALLY FOR THE KINESTHETIC DEVELOPEMENT, TO HELP WITH FINE MOTOR SKILLS, AND RECOGNITION.

THIS IS ACTUALLY A CRAFT THEY COULD MAKE BUT I DID THIS MYSELF AND WILL LAMINATE IT AND USE AS A SEPERATE ACTIVITY OR LESSON:

LETTER KITES
MATERIALS NEEDED
COLOR PAPER ["8 1/2 X11"]
(DEPENDS ON HOW BIG YOU WANT TO MAKE THEM)
GLUE
MARKER /SCISSORS
INDEX CARDS (WHITE OR COLOR SMALL SIZE IS OK)

YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE SEVERAL DIAMOND SHAPES INDIVIDUALLY ON EACH COLOR PAGE UNLESS YOU WANT ALL SAME COLOR.
IT WILL STAND OUT BETTER IN ASSORTED COLORS.
IN EACH KITE YOU MAKE YOU WOULD WRITE ONE OF THE FOLLOWING OR JUST THE ONE YOU DESIRE TO MAKE:
LETTER KITE (LOWERCASE) ( a-z )
LETTER KITE (UPPERCASE) ( A -Z )
WORD KITE
FEELINGS KITE

USE THE INDEX CARDS TO WRITE THE WORDS, MAKE FEELING FACES,
OR WRITE THE LETTERS LOWER AND UPPERCASE ON THEM. YOU CAN USE PAPER OR THE PAPER TISSUE AS THE STRING THAT DANGLES STRAIGHT DOWN TO ADD THE WORDS, LETTERS OR FEELINGS!
IT REALLY IS PRETTY SIMPLE. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS FEEL FREE TO ASK.
BLESSINGS ALL!

What this year holds for us and our walk in the LORD!

What would the Lord say for this year!
This year I have really been seeking and asking God this same question. For me and my walk personally, for family and all of us for this year.
This is what my answer was.
Seek me, I will guide you down your path. Do not look to the left or to the right keep your eyes fixed on me. When the storm comes you should know it does not always mean it is a bad storm. In the midst of the storm keep your eyes fixed on me. Do not be afraid for I will not leave you. I will walk with you all the way.
That is a strong message. This year is my year personally for more growing in God. This year as a church body it will be our year to experience God at a new level. My home church that I grew up in will be having a week of consecration and fasting the first of February. "Week of Jubilee!"
I think that God wants our one hundred percent not our fifty percent. New things are coming and especially the times we face today. So regardless of what we are going through I encourage us to give our hundred percent focus directly on him.
When we focus on the stuff around us it is added weight we carry. I learned that recently. That added weight is a hinderance in our walk, and in us personally. It is there for distraction only. So be on guard for the prowler and dont fall victim in his traps.
In this time of Gods leading, I will be focusing more on the emotional, physical, mental and spiritual being. Consecrating all and focusing on him. As Oprah calls it the Best of Life year, I have to say not only is it the best of life year but the best of God year! Blessings to all!
God bless!

Homeschooling

Well it is good to be back on a normal routine right! Wears me out to have to rearrange something that has already been rearranged, holidays are great but they wear you out.
Well there seems to be a trend on homeschooling. I know alot of people who are beginning to be interested in homeschooling for many reasons really.
Can I say to you honestly and I think many will agree especially if you are withdrawing your child from school or even starting at kindergarden at teaching at home.
The first step looks gigantic but it really is not that big of a step. The first step can also seem overwhelming and it can be a little scary to.
But to you who are intrested in homeschooling your child. It is probably one of the most rewarding privelages you as a parent will ever have with your child(ren). Its not an Isolation issue that we as parents face why we chose to homeschool. Its not anything to be afraid of and it certainly can be scary but after you take that first huge step you will be just fine.
The truth is: WE ARE ALL STILL LEARNING ALONG THE WAY! That is the greatest thing to remember. WE are learning with our children.
Keep in mind there are going to be supporters all over the place. Then there will also be the non supporters. The key is and you not trying to offend anyone in doing this but the key is to STEER CLEAR OF THE NON SUPPORTERS! Especially as you first begin. Your first year or two is crutial that you are focused, encouraged, ready for what ever challenges comes your way.
There will be challenges and probably many. The more supporters you have around you the more you will be able to adapt that first year and you will be just fine. The more non supporters you have around you, rest assured you will struggle.
The most common issue with non supporters is ISOLATION. They think you are trying to isolate your children. The real reason is many do not understand the Homeschooling way. Many dont take the time to research. There is also so much research out there they wouldnt know where to begin. So it is important to know the important things to start you out on, which is laws & legislation, State Education req. also stay up to date with recent laws or happening with the HSLDA.
I will link a site that I know is very helpful as I created it. Many have commented on this site how helpful it has been. That is what has been in my heart to help others intrested in homeschooling. I have a link on my site where you can connect to your state and read up on your states req. So please feel free to check it out if this is the direction you are going in.
Homeschooling can be a challenge to many. But if it is your hearts desire to educate your kids you will succeed and do fine. Ask questions. Dont be afraid to ask. Do your research but dont over do it. Most importantly do not be afraid.
You can view this site with more information and I hope you will find it extremely helpful. Good luck and God bless to all.
