The 3rd wolf: Chapter 7

Chapter 7:As the night grows darker
I arrived at this place at seven thirty, I got here half an hour earlyer because it started to get dark at six O'clock and so I ran one fourth of the way because this place gives me the creeps.
"This place is creeper than I thought." There were about five tents and two RV's that looked like the owners were captured by those evil wolves
You could tell where the wolves ran and people were, there were tons of foot and paw prints.
I was so scared I completly forgot about my plan until my stomach growled.
So I sat down under a tree, I thought if I get off schedule and it's twelve O'clock and I forget than I can just climb up the pine tree.
I ate my sandwich really fast but I was to scared of getting out my water bottle for fear that I would wake up the wolves to early.
Once I was done looking around and trying to memorize what this camp ground slash horror place looked like. Then I found a good place for my bag, I stuck it in a high place in an oak tree.
Then had to take my bag back down because I forgot to get out Uncle Bip's camoflouge jacket out.
I put the jacket on but forgot to zip it and climbed up in a pine tree and waited a half an hour.
Then I heard a niose.

The 3rd wolf: chapter 6

Chapter 6: A new discovery
I finally made it halfway through the trial, just as it approached four O'clock. I figured I'd be there by eight and have enough time to eat dinner hide my back pack, camofloge myself with Uncle Bip's camofloge jacket and find a good tree.
I thought a Pine tree would be good, because Uncle Bip told me that the Pine tree has a lot of smell to it so the wolve's hopefully won't smell me.
I kept talking to myself as if there were an imaginary person.
Uncle Bip taught me to never talk out loud to yourself, because you don't know who's listening.
Whenever I get in deep thought I alway's seem to look at the ground, well when I was looking at the ground I found a paw print.
At first I started to look around to make sure there were no wolve's were around, then I looked hard at it. I was heading the right way, the path to the pack.
Evendently not many people know this "Legend" Uncle Bip say's all his story's are legends. Mom alway's told me not to believe them, so since mom wasn't here I could believe anything I wanted.

The 3rd Wolf: chapter 5

The creek: chapter 5
As I had begun my journey, I was still wondering why I had agreed to doing this.
Was it so I could prove that this was real to Jane, or was it to impress Uncle Bip?
What if I make a mistake and the wolves plunge on me as they did to Joe? As I was talking I realized that I was talking to myself and not to Uncle Bip or Jane or Even Mom. Oh, ya mom wasn't here. Uncle Bip told mom to take a vacation by herself, and as normally she agreed to take a break from us until Summer break ends.
After a while of this "talking to myself" thing I realized I had wondered off the path I was taking.
"Oh, man!" this time I was really talking to myself. I looked on the map, followed my finger on the path and found that I was close to a creek.
"I guess I'll stop at the creek to refill my waterbottle than go this way and-" My talking to myself thing was distracted by a twig snapping. This triggered my thoughts.
What if someones out there! What if the wolves decide to attack before midnight!
I scrambled up a big Oak tree covered in moss. I looked around, ready for a wolf to jumpout.
then suddenly, a little cute squirrel came bouncing along and stepped on another twig and it cracked in half.
"How 'bout that, a little squirrle scared me half to death!"
I jumped down and nearly fell into a little creek filled with small smooth pebbles.
I refilled my waterbottle and sat down stuck my feet in the cool water and realaxed.
Then after a while I started to get hungry, so I took out a PB&J sandwich and chugged it down along with some water.
Then I began my walk.

To Be Continued...

The 3rd Wolf: Chapter 4

The Journey: Chapter 4
The next morning Uncle Bip woke me up. "What, is it time for school?" "No Maxy, you need to eat and start heading out."
After 15 minutes passed I was down stairs all dressed and wide awake.
Uncle Bip was down stairs with breakfast on the table. "Eat up boy, you have to get going." "Why do I have to rush?" It seemed like the more I talk the more Uncle Bip rushed me.
"You need to get moving so you can get to the location and hide before 12:00" "Why 12:00?" "Because that's when they attack, and if you get attacked then there will be a 3rd wolf."
I started to tremble, but I stopped myself before I trembled to death.
"Well I got your stuff packed" Uncle Bip handed me a small back pack "this is all I'm going to have!" "I'm sure you'll survive on three sandwiches and an extra change of clothes." "I guess I wil."
"Now let's get you moving." Uncle Bip directed me the way the map said, gave me a "Man hug" is what Uncle Bip called it and handed the map to me.
I took a deep breath and told myself. "This is were the Journey starts."

Fall Retreat

I had the opportunity to go to another church camp with my church.
We all had a blast. I was able to go on a zip line. It took a lot of effort to get myself to jump, but once I jumped it felt like I was flying while on a rollercoaster .I also went on a big swing, I was lifted as high as I wanted to go then I would count down from 3 and let go of a rope that was attached to two lines.Once I let go I flew back and fourth really high, some people went so high it looked like they would flip over. Another one of the activities we did was a really big slide. We had to ride a blanket down the slide 'cuz if we went without a blanket we wouldn’t get anywhere. There is another swing that we could go on but this swing is just a rope tied with a loop and attached to a big tree. There's a little creek that runs under the swing so it gave us a reason not to jump off in the middle. There's little minnows in the creek and everybody was trying to catch them, but nobody succeeded.
The camp theme was "Trials" and the pastor who talked about those trials was amazing and had a sense of humor to go along with all his preaching. There was an awesome band that came to sing for us and they were amazing. They really gave glory to God! We did fun and challenging games like "Mad mad mattress" were we had to get our whole group to get on a mattress in all kinds of crazy ways such as doing a pyramid on a mattress and sitting on a mattress and standing on a mattress. The hardest of all was getting our whole team on then we had to turn the mattress on the other side without our team mates falling off.
We were all able to grow close to each other; for others it was a life changing event.

The 3rd Wolf: Chapter 3

The Map: Chapter 3
Again I was puzzled, what did he mean? Uncle Bip distracted my thoughts. "Here you go" he handed me a piece of old paper that smelled like old books.
"What is it?" I knew it was a stupid question to ask but he awnsered it."Open it and see for yourself!" So I opened it up and on the old piece of smelly paper was a map.
"This should help you." Puzzled again "What do you mean, help?" "Look here, this is us." Pionting to the place's on the map. "And here is where you will find the location." I was suprised that he didn't want to come with me. "So you mean the location is on the other side of the map!" "It will only be a day trip." "Are you sure you want to continue this journey?" I felt helpless, a day's trip just to prove this story is real. No way, if Uncle Bip had the proof right in his hand then there was no piont of going.
"I think my journey ends here." I said.
Then Hellen came running in "Daddy, daddy!" "what is it?" At this point she was almost crying. "I went down by the woods" "why did you go down there?" Uncle Bip asked "I saw a really pretty flower and then, there were to big growls!" Uncle Bip looked up at me.
"Maxy, your journey starts here and now."

The 3rd Wolf: Chapter 2

Exploring:Chapter 2
The next morning I was tired, but I knew I had to do some searching.
Uncle Bip made some chocolate chip pancakes they happened to have a bit to much salt.
After breakfast I went up to Uncle Bip "Hey there Maxy!" Uncle Bip called me Maxy a lot I tolerate it somehow. "Uncle Bip...can I go walk around in the woods?" Uncle Bip had the same expresion on his face as Jane did, I could tell he didn't want me out all alone. "Well, won't you let Thomase come along with you."
Thomase is Uncle Bip's son and Helen is his daughter.
"But I was really wanting to go down by myself, I'm ten and a half years old. Plus you said once I was ten I could go down by the woods by myself." I was hoping I didn't make Uncle Bip mad, I mean I like Thomase and all that but it would be nice to go in peace to the woods instead of having a blabbering mouth.
"Well, I did tell you that." He started to rub his beard "I guess you can." I tried to hold the exitment in but I didn't do a very good job. Uncle Bip made me feed his two horses first.
After feeding the horses I ran down the big hill and after stumbeling a couple of times I made it down the big hill, that we sled down every winter.
Now the real question is were did this story take place at?
I was torn between, going back and asking Uncle Bip where the story took place or to keep looking.
I finally made a decision. After thinking about it, it wouldn't be a good idea to go back and ask Uncle Bip because then he'd want to come along. But neither could I keep looking because I'm clueless of where the scene happened.
Before I could completly decide Uncle Bip called out "It's time for dinner!" I was really hungry, until I figured out I had missed lunch. So I didn't want to miss dinner.
It was a very hard climb but I made it. Once dinner dishes were scraped and cleaned Uncle Bip pulled me to the side and asked me "Maxy, are you looking for the location of the 2nd wolf story?" I looked at him puzzled, how did he know about that? "Yes..." "Then I think I have something for you."

To be Continued...

The 3rd Wolf

I wrote a story and each week I'll put another chapter on my blog.
The Story: Chapter 1
"That night was a full moon and you could hear the wolf howl. Then once Joe entered the woods 5 minutes later you could hear a second wolf howl along." Uncle Bip finished with a big bow.
We all clapped in joy, I was about to ask Uncle Bip a question but I didn't want to intrude on Uncle Bip telling 4 year old Helen a bed time story.
I approached Jane my older sister, while she was combing her hair. "Jane, can I ask you a real quick question?" I could tell she didn't want to talk to me. "What is it?" "I was wondering, do you think the story that Uncle Bip told us is true?" I could tell she didn't have a anwser. "Max, you know none of Uncle Bip's story's are true." She did have a point. "But that's why I think this story could be true!" "What's your point?" I took a big sigh as if I were to be telling her it all over agian. "See, if all his story's aren't true then maybe this one is!" "Max go to bed, your tired and telling silly things like this doesn't help."
I took a big sigh, and left. As I was in a deep sleep I dreamed that I was Joe and walked into the woods and sitting in front of me was a wolf sitting in the light of the moon.
I took another step foward, then the wolf stared me in the eye and next thing I knew the wolf had plunged it's body on me and then. I sat up in bed with sweat running down my face, I took a glance at my hand and it was trembeling. I knew the story was real. And I was the one who was going to prove it.

To Be Continued...
