My Yard in November

I saw this little guy running about the backyard the other day, and he just looked like he was posing..waiting for a camera to arrive. So, I couldn't let him down!
Here he is..

See these flowers? This is our patch of Alyssum, around the tree ring.
They have dainty, little white blossoms.

I just took these pictures last week... the middle of November!! and our flowers still look this good...
(we've been having some nice warm days lately)

"I spy with my little eye... a bee!"

A Homemade Christmas - No. 1

I've been working on some crafts for this upcoming Christmas. What I'm sharing with you this week is
Holly Berry Napkin Holders.

All the materials I used, were things that were around the house. I didn't have to go shopping for the items---but I did have to hunt them down!

It was very easy & fun to make! I wasn't quite sure at first how it would turn out, but I like the final outcome.

I grabbed my scissors and green felt...

...red ribbon and a few little jingle bells...

...then I found some gold cord and red pom-poms...

Once I located the hot glue gun, I could attach everything together.

The gold cord (with bells attached) was glued behind the holly leaves. The red ribbon was glued on after that, and tied around the napkin with a bow.

Pretty soon, I had a finished project!

If you haven't seen the new blog game I've started, click here to read the details.

The rule of the game: Guess a letter.
If it belongs in the word puzzle, I'll add it in.

Here is the puzzle:

A _ o o _ _ o o _ _ a _

n o e n _ i _ _ .

Letters NOT in the puzzle:

L T

Keep on guessing!!

Is anyone up for a game?

I'm starting a Word Puzzle for my readers to participate in!
The only thing you have to do is to guess a letter that you think might be in the phrase. I guess this game is somewhat like Hangman, except... there's no drawing of a stick person involved. :)

After searching online, I found a very nice quote that was exactly like what I was looking for. This quote is what you're going to try to figure out.

Once you start guessing letters, I'll fill in the blanks of the puzzle with those letters.
Does that sounds like fun? Go ahead and try it out!
Here is the puzzle:

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ .

Start guessing NOW!!...and come back soon to see the game's progress, so that you can guess more letters again!

Blog's Autumn Layout

Welcome to In The Bookcase's new blog layout!

As you can see, it's decorated in an Autumn theme.
I started working on it Friday, and finished most of it by Sunday. I'm still tweaking little bits of this and that.

What do you think?
