It is free verse, so it doesn't ryhme or have certain stanzas. I hope you enjoy it! The Childhood of a Mother By- Kiri i used to sleep in a crib Now I sleep in a bed. I used to sleep with my stuffed bear Now my husband sleeps beside me. I used to play with dolls and tea parties Now I read and work on family scrapbooks. I used to care for my imaginary friend Now I have two kids to feed. I used to wear a million bracelets and toy rings Now I wear one watch and one diamond ring. I used to be the popular girl Now I am a soccer mom. I used to have golden curls that mother used to put up in bows Now I have straight brown hair. I used to be an artist in my opinion Now I'm an average Joe in my opinion. I used to know nothing and be carefree Now I know a lot and am responsible. I used to be my mother's pride and joy Now my husband has come into my life. I used to be a small child Now I am an adult. Many benefits have come from this transition But there are somethings I can't do in this position. Benefit after benefit, are the things that I find But back in my childhood I was one of a kind. Those memories i will never forget Same with my extremely old child's tea set. I've always remembered everything I should But I'll always remember my childhood. This is my second poem to be posted, and sorry it took so long to post it, I have been very busy with a project I had to do this week. This is a poem about what happens when best friends fight sometimes. I wrote this poem because me and a friend of mine (not rainstar) got into a fight over something so stupid! We were very happy that we became friends again, so I wrote this poem- FAULTS WITH FRIENDS By- Kiri You made a small mistake, I took it really bad. You cried and so did I, Now we're both sad. You made a fight, and broke our special bond. I charged that against you, Now we won't move on. We notice each other, Everyday. We see each other, But have nothing to say. We say we hate each other, But we don't mean what we say. We actually think about each other, Every night and day. Recent heartbreaks, Lets try to move on. When we fight like this, My heart wieghs a ton. Maybe we should continue, Maybe we should not make up. But used to when I was sad, You would fill my cup.
