Up and an Update

Howdy
Well, a lot has happened lately. Last Monday, Bear and I got our ears pierced at Claire's. I can't take them out for 5 more weeks (about a week before Christmas), and then I have to keep some kind of post in for 6 months. If anyone tells you it doesn't hurt, their lying. It still hurts a little when I clean them.
I also got a haircut! I haven't had it this short for YEARS! I did get bangs, and long layers around my face. I like the bangs and the front, but the girl put alot of layers in the back too. It makes my hair not so thick (It's normaly super thick). I used to complain about it being so thick, I couldn't do much with it, and even now that it's not so thick I still can't. gr.
Today Mom took me and I got my drivers permit.

I'm baaaack

Hi!
To both of you who still don't belive I have A) Fallen into a black hole B) Fallen off a cliff, C) Gotten my head stuck in the railling and starved, Or D) <Gasp> Left HSB! You are correct! None of that happend! And to everyone else that thinks one or all of the above tragedies has happened, I AM STILL ALIVE!!!!!!
You: "So what happened to keep you from posting?"
Well, I guess I forgot to mention that we have been in the process of moving back to Kansas City since late June. Uhh... Oops? <Nervous Laughter> Yeah, it's true. We are now back in our old neighborhood, just up the street from our old house.
You: "Cool! What have you been up to, other than unpacking and getting settled?"
Sarah, Bear and I have been Bible Quizzing! In fact, last Saturday was Sarah and Bear's first quiz ever! They both did awesome! Out of 124 Quizzers Sarah got 27th, I got 26th, and the other girls on our team got 5th and 6th. Our team was 6th out of 18 teams. And I was the only one that didn't Quiz-out!
You:" What are you studying for Quiz this year?"
We're quizzing on 1st and 2nd Corinthians and Titus. I'm studying 2nd Corinthians 1 and 4, and then month after next I will start on Titus. So far, my favorite passage from what I've been studying is 2nd Corinthians 4:3-9:
3And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. 6For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness,"made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
7But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. 8We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.
Quote:
Bunny in the bathroom (said through the vent): "MOMMY! I need you to wipe my bottom!" Mom in the basement (Said through the vent): "I'll be there in a minute!" Bunny still in the bathroom (after Mommy gets there): "MOM...MY! A lady outside said she'd be here in a minute!!!!"

Happy st. Valentines Day!

Hi everyone! Sorry I haven't posted in... what? Two months? <Cringe> I couldn't think of anything to say. But I've thought of something now!
If you'll remember, last Valentine's Day, I posted the instructions for paper heart baskets. This year I'm going to post a recipe.

You will need:
10 Cups popped popcorn (or if you're doing it on the stovetop that's 1/2 cup unpopped corn and 1 tsp oil)
Approx. 40 large marshmallows
1/4 cup (half a stick) butter
Pink food coloring or paste (use less paste or they'll look like mine! Too pink!)
First, melt marshmallows, butter and food coloring in a three qt. sauce pan.

Mix constantly.

Once completely melted, pour over popcorn.

Mix with a spatula (or extremely well buttered hands, or this ^ will happen!)

After it's mixed let it sit while you liberally apply butter to your hands.

Next, form the popcorn blob into heart shapes. Refrain from consumption for about five minutes. I know. It's hard. But they will be better if you let them harden a bit. One batch makes about five hearts. For some reason mice love them and they only last one day! (I'm referring to the two-legged, human sort that like to nibble goodies when you're not watching!)

A cute idea, is to do differing shades of pink. You can make these for st. Valentine's Day or just give a batch to someone you love.

Windex cards and hot dogs

Howdy from H-ville!

This morning while doing my morning chores (Funny how that works ), I was in the bathroom (which is connected to my bedroom), and I heard the following conversation:

Bubba: "Andie, Bunny's got your windex cards!"
Bunny: "I'm not"
Bubba: "Yes you do. Andie she's throwing them around the room!"
Mama: "What's going on in here?"
Bubba: "Bunny had Andies windex cards, but now she doesn't, and I'm picking them up for her. *big cheesey grin*"

I bet your wondering what any of that has to do with hot dogs. It doesn't. But the experiment I did at lunch does. I was cooking hot dogs in the Microwave, and Mama warned me not to cook them to long, or they might explode. She also told me that if you poke holes in them, they won't explode. So I took them out and poked 'em with a fork. But, having the Inquisitive mind I do, I wanted to know if it was true that if you poke holes in a hot dog, that it won't explode. So when they where done, I took them out and put them all on bread slices, but one. The one, I put back in the Microwave. I cooked it for a total of five minutes, and it didn't explode. Boy, that was one hot puppy. Instead of exploding, it shrunk, to about 3/4 the size it started at. Boy that was fun. I love doing stupid experiments. But I still wonder hoe long it takes to explode a hot dog... I'll try not poking holes in one next time. And maybe sometime, see if they explode in water.... Hmm.

Have I mentioned she's silly?

Ah Sarah! You are a wealth of laughter!
Last week she was talking about all the times she gets up at night, Mama said "you must not get much sleep at night." and Sarah said "No... not when I'm awake." We all had a good laugh, and went on with the day.

Then, Friday, there was a beetle flying around her head. It finally landed in the driveway, and she ran up and squished it. I was playing basketball with Bear and Uncle Bunpark (When they got their phone set up, AT&T
messed up their name, and it says Bunpark when they call). Sarah started screaming and jumping up and down and shaking her head trying to get a bug out of her hair. When she got it out, she noticed what it was, and started crying/laughing. Earlier that day, she had gone to the store with Mama and was carrying Bunny on her back in the Ergo. Mama gave Bunny a peppermint, and of course she spit it out in Sarah's hair. Well, as it turns out the peppermint was still in her hair. When she threw her hair back she saw it and started freakin' out. What a silly sister I have!

But she's not the only one, Bunny is hilarious! This morning, after church, she had been running around and her new shoes (she got her first pair of tennies! They're so cute, plain white, but adorable! She LOVES them!), and they came untied, or she untied them, she loves doing that. Mama picked her up and asked me to tie them. Bunny started screaming and said, in a very deep voice "I TIE SHOES !" and grabbed the laces and started twisting them up!

That's enough for now.
