Lumen Naturale - Homeschool Blogger

Lumen Naturale means natural light, in Latin, however, some of these pictures may have more than natural light. All of these are pictures that I have taken.

Shades of Summer

These is a flower that just bloomed in the last day or so. I guess that it has been so hot here, that they are blooming and then fading like crazy. I decided that I had better take pictures before the titles of these posts became "Faded Glory".

Soft Glow

Well, lately I have been using Photoshop for my pictures, and while that is cool, it is not natural. The pictures have been altered. I will still do pictures like that, but I thought I needed some orginals again. So here you are.

Shades of a Rose

Here are a few versions of the same picture. I did all of these with my Photoshop. I didn't mean to make two of them quite so dark, but I thought they would look neat on the black background of the template.

This is the original, just lightened up a little.

For this one, I used the colored-pencil option.

This one I thought was very interesting. I love how the beautiful pink shows up against the black.

A Rose is Still a Rose...

I am sorry that I haven't been on in a while. I got a digital camera for Christmas, as well as Adobe Photoshop Elements, so I have been messing with that, trying to figure it out. Here is a new picture, though.

I took the base picture, and was able to edit it to where the color was only in the center, and, of course, add words. I love having the color in the center, it looks to me like the rose is glowing. I could even have two different colors in the text! Anyway, I thought it was neat, and wanted to show it off.

A Bee On A Flower

I was trying to take a close up of the bee, I think, but it turned out wrong. I still think that this picture is cool. I love the colors on the flower; the yellows and reds, with the green background make this picture so vibrant and interesting.

An Abstract Sun

This is one of my favorites. These flowers make me think they could act as a sort of abstract sun for an artists canvas. The colors, and the straight lines make this picture so interesting. Don't you agree?

Pink Slides

To me, each of these petals looks like a little, pink slide. How fun it would be to be a little pixie, or fairy and play all day on a giant lily!

(Note: Even though I mention pixies and fairies, I do not believe they are real. However, they would be the only people small enough to slide on lily petals!)
