Introducing My Sweeties

Today I thought I would introduce my sweet little ones to my blog. Their names given on here are their nicknames that we use for them and they are all given for a reason, which I will explain for each child.

First is my oldest: Belle ~ my sweet daughter that is going on 13 this summer. She was our "surprise" baby coming only six weeks after we were married. She is a very artistic, compassionate, kind-hearted young lady. My mother, who has since passed, gave her the nickname "Belle" as it fit as a fun add-on to her real first name. Her favorite things are softball (to which her favorite line is "there ain't nothing soft about it!" ~ as she is sporting a good bruise and swollen mouth from a ball to the jaw on Saturday!), her younger siblings, being outside and country music.

Second is my next oldest daughter: Bug ~ who is a spitfire tomboy in a dress! She is her own person ~ wearing a dress and hanging upside down from monkey bars is a daily event for her. She loves her cowboy hat from her uncle, reading (to the point that we taking her book from her is the worst punishment we could give in her book), softball ~ although she has had fewer injuries than her older sisiter, and sunflower seeds. Her nickname comes from when she was about two years old, she could catch any bug she set her mind to. If there was a fly flying by, she would reach out and catch it between her index and thumb fingers!

Following the girls is our little man: Bubbie ~ our only blue eye in the bunch and let me tell you - move over Frank, this ones going to melt the girls hearts! I might be partial, but I think this is the cutest boy ever to live, majorly favoring a mix between Opie Taylor as a young boy and Brad Paisley now. This boy we prayed for and lost four pregnancies before being blessed with, so he is spoiled with major love from Mommy and Daddy as well as the older sisters that were SOOOOO happy to get a "Bubbie Brother" ~ you can figure where the nickname came from there. He loves ball too (its a family thing here), trains and building tracks, playing outside on our playground built by Daddy, and going on "guy trips" with Dad on his days off - last one, Bubbie requested McDonald's and Lowes as their destinations! LOL! Just like a guy - food and tools make them happy.

Last, but certainly not least: Chez - who really goes by a ton of nicknames at this point as we are still trying some on for size (Chez, Lucy-Goosey, Pumpkin -from her red hair, Lou-Lou are a few, so we shall see which one sticks). She is our baby girl, rotten to the core! We think we may need to have another baby just so she won't be the baby! LOL! She is a red-haired pixie (all the others are dark hair and darker skin from my hubby and the Italian background) with Precious Moment eyes - you know the kind. She loves her sisters and brother, although most days she loves the dog more I think. She is pretty into "pink" right now, so everything needs to be that color. She loves to play outside and eat popcorn. Her favorite phrase is "Oh my goodness!" Her nickname comes from a shortened version of her name that just happened over the course of months when she was just starting to crawl around and stuck. Now, we just all call her Chez as it seems to fit her personality.

So, that is my crew. Of course including hubby and the dog. Mollie is a cocker spaniel that is 7 years old and VERY patient! LOL!
Hubby is pretty patient himself too. We are going on 14 years of marriage and loving each other more each passing year. We enjoy hanging out together and with our family. Hubby works 3rd shift in a plant so he is home and helps out with school and hangs out with us during the day when he is not having to sleep. He loves tinkering with cars, motor cycles, boats, etc ~ anything with a motor basically. He is extremely talented with his hands and can make just about anything I could ever ask for if I just describe to him what I need. His favorite passtime however is going to the lake ~ which we are just about warm enough here to do in the next week or so, so I will be posting about those weekend trips soon!

Starting Again

The great thing about Mondays to me is the chance to start over. You know, if you had a crummy week last week, well Monday is a new start. Kind of like Jan 1st is each year, but on a smaller scale!

Well, we did not have a crummy week last week, in fact it was right good! We completed all our schoolwork, got our garden planted and made up rained out ballgames, so we were happy with our accomplishments. However, I am "starting again" today with my new blog and hopefully will do a better job of keeping up with it this time.

I look forward to making new friends and coming across old ones again. I also am looking forward to having a chance to be creative in this way since I have fallen off the scrapbook wagon for now! LOL!
