ECMT part 5

September 28-30th

We arrived in Fayteville, PA where we met Lori Ann. She is a professional mime and does drama in churches. However before any mime stuff we cleaned the church we were going to be in. Then we started the mime time. After 4 hours of mime we stopped and went to her house to have dinner. It was very good. Following dinner was mail time. In it Chris and I did Barbara Manatee. That was hilarious. The next day we did more technique time and had a great day. Then we went to our host homes and had time to talk and discuss things. The final day there we went do Gettysburg, PA and visited the Civil War site. That night there was a presentation and besides the directors and Lori Ann's family FOUR people showed up and were very blessed by the presentation. The following morning we left for another stop in PA.

ECMT part 4

September 24-27th

We arrived in Purcellville, VA in the afternoon where we inspected our surroundings. After unloading the van we put our duffles and sleeping bags in the foyer and preceded to smash or shoo the potato bugs that were hanging around. Then came the short one day workshop where we taught a few songs to the team that came. In the bible study time our study which we prepared was just about told in a paragraph of speech when one of the Delta team members spoke about what was on her heart. That night we split to go to our host homes. The next day was a field trip to Washington D.C. It was awesome visiting the various things there. I learned bumper pool at my host home. It is a very addicting game. Saturday was a practice day for our team and we also did a service project that consisted of cleaning up the facility we were using. On the last day in Purcelville we went to church then had a presentation in Washington D.C. at the Jefferson Memorial. On Monday morning we pulled out and left for Fayteville, PA.

ECMT part 2

September 17th-23rd

Aaahhh training camp. Personally for me it was getting up at 5 a.m. and going to bed close to 11 p.m. that really struck me as hard. On the first day we picked up Hannah, Sarah, and Chris. All the members in order of age on the trip are as follows: Mr. Brown, Mrs. Brown, Amber, Courtney, Chris, Madison, Sarah, Emily, Hannah, myself, and Rachel. The next morning we started the official training camp which went six days. After approximately 48-52 hours of bible study, several hours of song time, and several hours of sign language/mime technique we set of on the road to our first stop on the 23rd.

ECMT part 1

I will put these next several entries of the mission trip in Journal form.

September 16th, 2009

Today we had a long drive starting in Branson, Missouri and ending in Vanleer, Tennessee at Camp Ridgedale. My Dad dropped my sister and I off at the Browns house and we prayed then drove to pick up Amber Redmond. Then we started our drive to Tennessee. After we crossed the MO/AR border it started to rain. It rained and rained and rained and rained (did I mention it rained?) almost all the way there. We arrived at the Camp at around 6 p.m. and found out the power was out so we had a candle light dinner. In the middle of some hang out time after dinner we got power again, so we played a game called Apples to Apples then went to our respective dorms (boys dorm, girls dorm). Lights were out in about 15 minutes.

Bible Study and Codes

I have to prepare a bible study for my mission trip and I am almost done with the first of four sections. First I am paraphrasing certain passages from the bible, then getting to ask questions. Today I also decided to create my own code so here it is and a sentence in English. "Hello, how are you?" now in code "gwkkim giq EW TIY>" I will leave you to guess. xibfeRYKruiba tiy dufyews ur iyr,

The Final Presentation for the summer session 2009

Yesterday was the last day of the session so we had a presentation and it was a lot of fun.
The songs we presented (and their length) are as follows:
In the Light [4.5 min.],
Devil is bad [3 min.], (I was the devil)
Virtuoso [4 min.], (I was the devil)
Courtroom [6 min], (I was the devil(seeing a trend?)){The satan cape is black and large so by the lengths of the song you can figure how long I was sweating in that cape.}
Washed in the blood [4 min.],
In God we still trust [4 min.], and finally
Freedom and Restoration [9 MINUTES!] (I was the devil){and I wore the cape through that to}

So all in all I was a pretty evil guy last night.
Mrs. Mills came to me after the presentation and asked if it was a compliment to say I played a good devil.
(what is your opinion?)
