<title>Our New Baby!</title>
<description>On Sept 1st (Labor Day) at 11:50 pm our pregnant mare Lizzy gave birth to a beautiful little colt. He is the cutest little guy and we have named him Sebastian.
After Lizzy's milk came in and we knew&amp;nbsp;the birth&amp;nbsp;would be sometime soon,we had a week long trip planned to CA and then Carolyn had a 3 day church camp and then a week at Disney World helping a friends family with crowd control (7 children 10 and under). She was so worried that she would miss the birth and/or first few days after the foal was born. As it turned out the camp ended on the morning of Sept 1st and he was born that night giving her about a week a half with him before the Disney trip.

Just born!
&amp;nbsp;

Trying to stand. He had quite a time getting on his feet. It was so funny to watch.
&amp;nbsp;
&amp;nbsp;

Finally up! Now he had to figure out the nursing thing. He kept putting his nose in the right area but then in his search he would end up going all the way under her and have to turn around and start all over again. It took him about an hour to get to his feet and then another 30-45 minutes for the placenta to come out and at about the 2 hour point he was finally nursing and we felt good about leaving them alone. We were back in bed around 2 am. </description>

<title>Nathan's 6mo photo's</title>
<description>When we got home from church today I finally got around to taking Nathan's 6mo pics. I had to becausehe will be 7mo tomorrow and if I didn't get it done today then he wouldn't be 6 mo anymore. I got a few good ones but he kept crawling away from the backdrop.

<title>A sweet memory...or The weirdest family in the county?</title>
<description>Ron recently found a 1960's Batman movie based on the old cheeseball TV show. They all (except Carolyn and me) loved it and I have had a house full of superheros since then. They decided to take their show on the road the other day and this is what I saw as I passed the window

&amp;nbsp;
Carolyn came in horrified that they were waving to the cars driving by and about that time it got even worse as&amp;nbsp;we heard cars honking as they passed. Carolyn has decided that we are the weirdest family in the county with this as one of her main examples. I personally think this is one of the sweetest sights I have seen. All (well...most) of my children finding&amp;nbsp;adventure together in such a simple thing as waving to passing cars.&amp;nbsp;It also bought me almost 2 hours of quiet with just the occasionally shouted (it is quite a distance from the house to the road) reminders to stay on the inside of the fence.
&amp;nbsp;
From left to right we have Hawk Girl, Robin (yes, he was on the fence in his underwear!), Batman, Superman, and Super Girl.

<title>Independence Day</title>
<description>We celebrated&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;4th of July&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;in the same way we have for all 15 years we have lived here. The local parade,&amp;nbsp; swimming, and the recent addition of fireworks in the backyard, now that they are legal here.
The big change this year was the absence of Carolyn, who left just before the parade, heading for a horse camp in PA with a visit to Niagra Falls before camp starts. She has attended (or more often been in) every parade since she was 7 mo old and we hated not having her there, but I know she will have a great week at camp.
We&amp;nbsp;have just finalized all the franchise development stuff for Paparonni's Pizza and had a theme of &quot;Own Your Own Slice &quot; for the float. We were stumped for ideas this year and I asked for help on the MOMYS digest and was able to put together several suggestions to put together the float.&amp;nbsp; Thanks&amp;nbsp; to all who brainstormed for me it really helped.
Here are some pics of the float.

&amp;nbsp;
I just had to add funny p.s. to the parade story.
Little miss Madelyn managed to get &quot;baby&quot; to the float before it was noticed. When bedtime rolled around &quot;baby&quot; was missing. After playing back the days events I realized she was probably in the bathrooms of the old elementary school that we used on our way back to the van. This school is not currently being used for anything so Ron called the parade organizer to see how we could get in. He said to........&quot;call the MAYOR!!!&quot;. The mayor personally rescued &quot;baby&quot; from the little girls bathroom and hand delivered her to Ron at the pizza store that night. I don't suppose he ever thought that would be a part of the job when he signed up.
