<title>Getting  Ready...</title>
<description>We are getting our curriculum ready for August. I like to get an early start. We are planning on using Bible and Rhyme next year. www.HubbardsCupboard.org It takes a lot of prep... but I like it. Joshua will be 4 in June... so next school year will be our first &quot;official&quot; homeschool year. WE have been hit and miss the past couple of years due to moving a few times. Hopefully we have settled down for a while now. lol. Sherry</description>

<title>Summer Homeschool</title>
<description>Due to moving a couple of times this past year, we didn't get to finish our school year yet.&amp;nbsp; We are going to be extending our homeschool into the summer months.&amp;nbsp; It has been a couple of months since we were able to even get a lesson in.&amp;nbsp; Hopefully we will be able to start again in a week or so.&amp;nbsp; I am going to have to do some reviewing for the first week.
&amp;nbsp;
I hope all of my friends have a great summer!!!

<title>What we are learning....</title>
<description>We have been using the Kidsparkz curriculum for a couple of weeks now.&amp;nbsp; So, I thought I would give my opinion of it.&amp;nbsp; WE LOVE IT!! lol.&amp;nbsp; Joshua is responding to it better than I even imagined.&amp;nbsp; We have been learning about Forest Animals.&amp;nbsp; There are so many ideas and activities.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I like the fact that the curriculum allows you to add your own ideas if you want.&amp;nbsp; But, the worksheets and other printables are great by themselves.&amp;nbsp; I just always like to see what else I can add. :)
&amp;nbsp;
Here are some pics of our&amp;nbsp; &quot;learning wall&quot; and some crafts we made.&amp;nbsp;

<title>Got Our New Curriculum...</title>
<description>Well... we got our Kidsparkz curriculum today.&amp;nbsp; I am pretty impressed with it so far.&amp;nbsp; There are lots of ideas and worksheets.&amp;nbsp; And lots of hands on learning.&amp;nbsp; We are starting our first lesson tomorrow.&amp;nbsp; It is about Forest Animals.&amp;nbsp; We will probably spend a month on this theme.&amp;nbsp; There are lots of fun activities included in this one.

<title>Trying Something New...</title>
<description>I have debated over and over about buying a preschool curriculum for Joshua.&amp;nbsp; But, I have finally found one that isn't expensive and looks like it will be just right for him.&amp;nbsp; It is Kidsparkz.&amp;nbsp; www.kidsparkz.com
I am getting it today.&amp;nbsp; I need something just a little more organized than I am.&amp;nbsp; lol.&amp;nbsp; I will let everyone know how Joshua does with it.
He is doing good with just the few things that we have been working on.&amp;nbsp; I keep the lessons short and if he isn't in the mood... we try again later.&amp;nbsp;

<title>I'm So Impressed!</title>
<description>Joshua learned to read the word &quot;see&quot; today.&amp;nbsp; That is after just a few mins. of the headsprout reading program.&amp;nbsp; They also have a program where he can practice using the mouse.&amp;nbsp; He got the &quot;clicking&quot; down today... but still needs lots of work on the movement of the mouse.&amp;nbsp; lol.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I can remember the first time I used a mouse.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I was an adult!&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I had a hard time controling it at first.&amp;nbsp;
Anyway, his attention span could be better.&amp;nbsp; But at his age it is to be expected.&amp;nbsp; The program is set up so that you can pause it and come back to where you left off later.&amp;nbsp;

<title>Reading Program</title>
<description>We started a phonics reading program today.&amp;nbsp; I'm not sure if Joshua is ready yet.&amp;nbsp; A couple of more days will tell me.&amp;nbsp; We are using Headsprout.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; I put a link to it on my sidebar.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;I have used it before with my niece.&amp;nbsp; She really learned a lot from it.&amp;nbsp; Joshua is a year or so younger than she was.&amp;nbsp; So... I hope he is ready.&amp;nbsp; If not, I can wait and start it again &amp;nbsp;at a later date.&amp;nbsp;
We are also doing Elmo's Preschool Deluxe.&amp;nbsp; He loves it.&amp;nbsp; I have to do all of the mouse work... but he points to the right answers.&amp;nbsp; Elmo is his all time favorite character.&amp;nbsp; So, he really relates to the software.

<title>Hump Day</title>
<description>We made it to Wednesday.&amp;nbsp; This week seems to be moving really slow.&amp;nbsp; Potty training has been put on hold.&amp;nbsp; He just isn't ready yet.&amp;nbsp; No matter how ready I am.&amp;nbsp; lol.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;We are gonna try again in a month or so.&amp;nbsp; I am just so ready to be done with diapers.&amp;nbsp; He will be 3 in June.&amp;nbsp; I mean.... come on now.
I have been printing lots of worksheets off the internet.&amp;nbsp; There are so many free resources on the internet for Joshua's age.&amp;nbsp; I love it!&amp;nbsp; I need to restock on some of his supplies.&amp;nbsp; He is getting low on crayons (he has broken most of his), glue and I need to get some more construction paper.&amp;nbsp; SO, I am planning a shopping trip soon.&amp;nbsp; We are in the midst of a winter storm right now... so it will be a couple of days before I can get out and about.&amp;nbsp; I don't like driving in freezing rain and snow.&amp;nbsp;
Well... that 's about all I got for today.&amp;nbsp; I am still trying to wake up.&amp;nbsp; Joshua is putting some puzzles together.&amp;nbsp; I will be so glad when we can get outside and play.&amp;nbsp; lol
